itsnotyouitsMeals · 15/06/2013 02:09

Hugs stunt pidj and anyone else awake.

PurplePidjin · 15/06/2013 03:48

Gah, can't count! 4h20 to firts waking. Then 2 hours to this one.

Still grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I'm shattered Sad

ChasingDaisy · 15/06/2013 04:58

Lost count of number of wake ups so far.

Going to take a little quiche break. Thank you for all of your support to this point Thanks

StuntNun · 15/06/2013 05:20

Waves to Chasing try to real and be good to yourself. You've had a lot of pressure on you this week. (((Hugs for you and cuddles for gorgeous little O.))) We'll be here when you're ready.

We had one wake up at 3.30, she kept turning and unable to turning back. We are at my parents' this weekend so can get on with assignment. O is loving the attention.

luis well done to mini Garcia

Happy belated birthday for those who recently celebrated!

chasing hugs. We will be here whenever you are ready.

I'm sorry for poorly babies, makes me appreciate that O is in general ok. We had physio yesterday and were asked to take a 3 week break to give O a chance to practice her new skills. They are confident that she is on the right track and might not need anymore physio. We need to be back on the second week of July for assessment. She came on heaps in the past 4 weeks.

Thechick · 15/06/2013 06:41

Bry we were in a museum walking around. He was in a pushchair mostly and she was in a sling. If he didn't touch her face then I would think it was pretty unlikely that he could catch it. The flying is for a wedding and we can cancel the room with 48 notice but I don't think we can with the flights as they were cheap anyway. I don't mind not going if he's ill. Hopefully if its going to happen it will happen quickly. We are seeing dh grandmother the weekend after and then have a kids party to go to the weekend after that.

Bryzoan · 15/06/2013 06:46

That is great news lily.

Big hugs chasing. Look after yourself. Sorry you had a crap night. I still say cosleep if you need to, you have enough on your plate and need as much sleep as you can get. Stay strong.

I also feel like I really need some sleep. And a holiday. Every 2 hrs from my little rotter again. I'm shattered. Saw the Gp yesterday and she has referred to paeds for allergy testing (?? Has anyone else had this) and then begrudgingly (as not seeing paeds for a month and meanwhile I can't give dairy, soy or eggs) to dietician for a phone consultation. I am wondering if me being dtricter on dairy, eggs and soy would help sleep. Got to be worth a bash I think. At the moment I am still having food containing dairy.

Have to leave at 8.15 for r's swimming lesson then it is her preschool fête later. Was looking forward to both but am just feeling exhausted, sad and at the end of my tether.

Bryzoan · 15/06/2013 07:34

Chick I would think you might be ok then... You wouldn't catch it through touch as the spots weren't out. The face to face contact is prob a risk but I wouldn't change your plans.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/06/2013 08:09

Eeeeewwwwwww yw put right off porridge.

Not a co sleep fan myself though I love it on a weekend morning when they come and snuggle in.

I have been semi keeping up.

Wine kyz I hope you had a great birthday

Whoop woop for the childminder pass I bet that takes a worry off your mind. When are you back at work? Are you having to go back full time?

chasing see you soon. I hope you are proud of yourself, it will all come together just don't expect it to straightaway. Xx

We are struggling with teething and he seems to have developed a cold on top poor wee mite (trying out new words practising for impending move). One of the front ones is through and the other is not on it's heals. He isn't eating well and most stuff he does eat gets caught by a cough before it has chance to go back down and comes back up with a pile of phlegm. ( right back at ya yw) all over the kitchen table. Mmm.

DH is in NI and will be back tomorrow by the skin of his teeth in time for the boys Thanksgiving Hmm so we are left to our own devices. See fb. Mwahahahahah!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/06/2013 08:10

Hot on heels, not, not on heals. Can raise you in the sausage fingers stakes clarella (think was you. )

BigPigLittlePig · 15/06/2013 08:20

See you soon sofa buddy xx

YW thanks for that Hmm

Luis how was last night?? Am hoping that your absence means you were fast asleep. And are the knees showing any signs of improvement?

After I'd settled F last night, she woke after 5 minutes. 10 minutes to settle, then awake again after 5. Repeat x5. I slept on her bedroom floor with her in the end - and she slept brilliantly, with only 1 feed at 3.30. I have to try to crack this sleeping lark in the next 2 weeks before I'm back to work. I made sure she didn't feed to sleep, will work on that for a few days, then try to get her in her own bed.

StuntNun · 15/06/2013 08:28

*relax became real. Stoopid fat sausagely fingers can't work phone.

Passmethecrisps · 15/06/2013 08:40

Good morning!

The CM is a massive weight off, thanks. I go back to work mid August and will be full time. DH will be doing a couple of days a week from September so she will be full 5 days with CM for 3 weeks then 3 days a week.

I hate co-sleeping. I don't mean I hate that it happens - do what ever makes you all happy! I just cannot cope with a wiggly baby. I have only brought P into bed with us two or three times and have hated it. We simply aren't set up for it so it is always a last-resort thing and I lie there unable to move with a baby tucked into the crook of my arm. I think practice and a will/need for it make it work. I also know of stories where teenagers (always boys) still sleep with mum. Of course it doesn't need to be this way and I think it can be lovely when they are totty.

chasing I don't know if you are still reading but big cuddles for you and you know where we are - no judgements just lots of virtual hand holding.

One of my bezzy mates had a baby yesterday! So exciting! I was miles away last night imagining her in the maternity ward wondering what was happening. Brought everything back made me broody

Passmethecrisps · 15/06/2013 08:43

Oh sophia! Your phlegm story Envy reminded me. I was trying to feed P some cereal yesterday when she sneezed a massive green snot sneeze right into her bowl. It was everywhere in big streams. She thought it was hilarious and was all "haha! Right. Moar brekkie?" I couldn't stomach it. Bleaurgh

Evilwater · 15/06/2013 09:02

Morning all, N woke up screaming again.Sad he also woke at 6 so I brought him into our bed and we slept for another hour. It was really lovely to have cuddles.

The beniftis check was fine, I had a lovely young chap sort it out for me and can only get £29 per week for childcare, but my cost for childcare is £110 per week. Hmm why is it all done before tax?? Sad

catbag I hope your enjoying Cornwall. There are some really lovely gems about.

Oh and I'm getting terrible tiles in WWF.

P is off on a 4x4 day, and we are off to great Nan soon.

A question for the quiche!
I've started to clean N teeth with child's toothpaste, but he keeps being sick after we have used it, I ran out of bed sheets for him last night. Obviously I've stopped using it, but I need to clean his teeth as he has bad breath!
Help please.

Evil

StuntNun · 15/06/2013 09:12

Is it the gag reflex Evil? You don't have to put things very far back in their mouths before they gag. You could try putting the toothpaste on your finger so you could be a little more precise.

OP posts:
Evilwater · 15/06/2013 09:20

Stunt I have been putting it on my finger, it's not a gag reflex as the vomit is usually 10 mins after the toothpaste.

chasing I'm glad your doing better.evil

Thechick · 15/06/2013 09:22

I want to start brushing H's teeth. What kind of brush do you useEvil one of hose finger brushes or a small soft one.

Pikz · 15/06/2013 09:25

Big cuddles for chasing and Brew for the sleep dodger mummies

DP took LO this morning at 6am to give me a rest I slept til 8!! Must have been exhausted.

Evil

Kyzordz · 15/06/2013 09:52

morning guys!

he did it, last bottle at 7pm, bed at 7:45 then up at 7am. not a peep in between! am a lucky zordz! obviously my idiot bit keeps fretting he will now not get enough because he wasn't fussed with breakfast again but then the sensible bit says if he wasn't getting enough he would either wake for milk or eat the solids, or something. either way he can manage without that feed and I hope it continues!

chasing hugs, all here when you need us xxxx

eliza I went to see them in Wolverhampton for the bounce tour, they were just amazing! they are my favourite band ever and saw me through some really tough times and I don't think I'd have coped without them. cheesy but true. sometimes they were all I had.

detective don't worry I shall pay him in kind ; )

Brew for the bad nights, and a heap of sleepy dust. how was last night for you luis?

hope teething fooks off soon sophia

no idea evil no teefs here yet sorry

YellowWellies · 15/06/2013 10:07

Haha sorry for putting folks off their brekkie (speaking of which Pass and Sophia that's grim but hilarious!) am not against cosleeping for others (sorry if it came out that way) but have never fancied it for us for that reason. I'm also v lucky we've not needed to. They came to stay with us and were all like 'no need to make up separate beds' and I wanted to get all 'you'll sleep in separate beds when under my roof on their ass' Grin

Chasing keep with us hon - you know where we are. Uber proud of you. Things'll likely be up and down for a while but as Pass says any pain and sadness is a sign the wound is healing.

Bry eliminating dairy, soy and eggs is tough. I was advised cutting two things is tough but do-able but once you're onto three or more its very, very tricky. Good luck you have my utmost respect and cheer leading.

J was quite unsettled early evening - gave him a whimpering cuddle at 10.30 (teeth maybe he didn't want a feed just a hug?) anbesol, then didn't see him until 7.30 Smile when DH took him so I'm just getting up now - or would be if the bear wasn't having a post feed nap..... there have been worse starts to a weekend.

We're meant to reintroduce soy traces this month or give it a test - is it bad to decide to do it when in laws are here so if it all goes Pete Tong / screamathon they can a) witness intolerances are real and I'm not being all Münchhausens and b) help with the pacing and rocking whilst he screams. Or will their presence stress me out more? Confused Hmm

RaquelGarcia · 15/06/2013 10:08

could somebody please tell my husband to stop whirling around the room to Britney Spears' "oops I did it again"?

It's unseemly. And bad for his knees

thank you

TheDetective · 15/06/2013 10:09

Morning! Grin

Feeling much better now I'm sleeping again. DP has done the last 2 nights and I've had nytol Grin.

Also, I noticed that the fucking bastard wakes up when he knows I've had stuff which might make me not wake so easily Hmm.

Amazing the difference a proper sleep makes.

I remember O waking when he came to bed must have been about 12.30 last night, think it took time to settle him by the amount of sighing going on Grin. Then he woke at 4 for a feed, and then 7.30 for the day, but played happily for an hour in his cot.

We've mixed it up this morning! He was due a feed and breakfast at the same time. So I put 2oz milk from his bottle on half a weetabix, and some of the apple and cinnamon puree. Mushed it up, and he took that, interspersed with his bottle, so he took about 6oz milk in total between breakfast and bottle. Seemed to work okay too!

Going to an NCT nearly new sale this afternoon. It's right by my house at the childrens centre. So would be rude not to, right?!

O is in happy O mood again today!

Pass That must be a big relief!

Chasing Hope you are okay :(

Kyz Yay to no dream feed!
