Please give your baby's favourite foods so we can get some ideas from each other.

A force to be reckoned with, no less.

TheDetective · 28/05/2013 10:02

You don't mess with my baby Grin.

I seriously think I could move in to the GP's these days, and they wouldn't notice, I'm there that much. Confused

Harumph.

MissMummy1 · 28/05/2013 10:33

I am not pregnant!!!

But I do have post pregnancy stomach stress. Possibly. Or a gall bladder issue. Possibly. Former could last 6+ months. Latter will be explored in 2 weeks if not better.

And I have been prescribed.... omeperazole! (sp?)

I also slept 13 hours last night and still feel deathly tired this morning Sad

Sophiathesnowfairy · 28/05/2013 10:44

Wow baby pikz you are a hero. We get about 10 1/2 to 11 hours and I thought we were doing well.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 28/05/2013 10:49

Bloody GP receptionists need to get a grip. And also how do they get away with such a poor attitude to their " customers" when other people wouldn't. And we're they all born with the grumpy gene.

Hope the omewhatsit make you feel better mm

It's the half term rain here. Of course. So we will go to the swimming g pool like the rest of Berkshire probably.

ChasingDaisy · 28/05/2013 11:05

Oh MM hope you feel better soon.

Detective O is very lucky to have you as his mummy.

O had toast for breakfast. He seemed quite wary of it but think he ingested a small amount. He is still very sad today Sad Having a quiet two days with lots of cuddles and TLC. He has sneezed a fair bit today too so wonder if he is coming down with something too.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/05/2013 11:12

tits I would take him to a dr or hv and ask if that reaction to the meds in your milk is normal?

PetiteRaleuse · 28/05/2013 11:14

And when you say dark do you mean dark green? Or brown? Could be worth phoning the doctor or pharmacist and checking?

StuntNun · 28/05/2013 11:20

Tits my J had trouble when I was on amoxiclav for an infected CS wound. I took probiotics drinks daily, afaik the probiotics pass into your milk too and will help with his tummy. I found J's tummy issues resolved a couple of days after I finished the course of antibiotics. If you try the probiotics remember not to take then at the same time as the antibiotics.

That's utterly shit Detective FFS what if you were prescribed insufficient insulin for a diabetic, or ran out of antidepressants and started getting withdrawal symptoms. They really need to be more on the ball than that. Why do GP receptionists tend to have such a bad attitude. My BIL ended up in hospital with a helicobacter infection a week after the GP receptionist refused to give him an urgent appointment because she didn't think he was ill enough.

Titsalinabumsquash · 28/05/2013 11:27

It's very dark brown, DS1 gets the same on penicillin. I'll try the probiotic drinks, what time scale do I leave between the antibiotics and the probiotics?

MissMummy1 · 28/05/2013 11:51

Sorry tits can't help.

My aunt is the exception to the gp receptionist rule. Everyone comments on how wonderful and lovely she is. The rest however are utter arseholes. The last one who crossed me tried to tell me that Matilda did not require an urgent appointment as her reaction had gone down. My (very exasperated) response was: "when I want medical advice from a receptionist, I will ask for it" Angry

MissMummy1 · 28/05/2013 11:52

Also DP has decided to pull my car to bits under the driveway. Twat.

ChasingDaisy · 28/05/2013 14:12

Quiet here today. Still have A very sad baby. But he managed avocado and water from his cup for lunch. Just starting his long nap now so hoping for a couple of hours rest.

Helloooooo?

Has anybody's baby's hair changed colour? M was born with jet black hair. She lost a lot of it and it is coming in very light. DP thinks she may be blonde Hmm

My car now has no brakes Confused I only wanted the sodding wiper blades changed....

GTbaby · 28/05/2013 14:23

It's a boy. baby in a bad position to check spine. So sat here drinking water so hope he moves. All perfect other then that.
Oh well. Guess I don't have to buy anything new.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/05/2013 14:30

That's great GT at least you know what to expect. And not having to buy anything new is a good thing. Maybe number three will be a girl, which, going by your current rate should be for summer 2014 :o

Seriously, don't be disappointed. LO will be so chuffed to have a little brother. And he's perfect.

Hope he moves so you can check his spine soon.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/05/2013 14:31

mm still waiting for LO to have enough hair to be able to tell what colour it will be. DD1's hair is getting lighter with age. Started ouit an almost bald brunette, and is turning into a blondie like mum :)

Dixiebell · 28/05/2013 14:33

MM, yes Teddy's hair was black when born, now blonde. DS1 was the same.

GT, congratulations. I have two boys. It is lovely to think they will grow up brothers together. As yours are so close in age, I'm sure they will be best of friends. Everyone always tells me about the special bond between boys and their mummy too.

ChasingDaisy · 28/05/2013 14:39

GT congratulations! I would love to have two boys. I can't picture myself having girls for some reason.

O was born with brown hair, which started to think out but it is now growing back very fast and is a dark brown, typically Chinese hair colour.

Speaking of Chinese, did you see the news story about the Chinese baby found alive in a sewage pipe after being flushed down the toilet? Sad. Made me cry.

fruitpastilles · 28/05/2013 14:44

Congrats GT 2 boys so close in age will be lovely.

chasing yes I saw it, it's so so sad.

S started out with lots of ginger hair and now has a little bit of ginger hair Smile

Brockle · 28/05/2013 15:05

yay for your boys gt Grin. I have 3 and they are brilliant. they will be such good friends.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 28/05/2013 15:15

I didn't see that, would have me cry.

mm he is actually UNDER the driveway??? Confused

BigPigLittlePig · 28/05/2013 15:28

GT what lovely news, hope the wee man wriggles the right way round soon.

I always thought I wanted boys, then when F turned out to be a girl I was delighted, and now I cannot imagine having a boy. I suppose it's what you become used to.

F was born with dark hair which is firmly on its way to blonde now. Especially when the sun catches it - you can see there are oodles of blonde streaks in it and one veeeeeery long, freakishly long, blonde hair

So at baby group today, I weighed F (fully clothed) before and after her 2pm feed. Her "big" afternoon feed. She put on 40g. Which is 40mls of milk. Which is PATHETIC. It was a pretty standard feed, not any shorter than usual. 40mls.

Since I stopped having dairy, she has gone from the 50th to the 75th centile though. Imagine the size of her if I had been dairy free from the off!
