I was promised no periods with cera-fucking-zette. Tehy lied. I got a pretty much permanent one alongnwith permanent mood swings.

This isn't as bad as that.

Passmethecrisps · 15/05/2013 12:15

See I swear much more in RL than on here. Weird. I am a contrary fucker.

I was on last week. Miserable as fuck. Weepy and stroppy. Didn't used to be.

Ach, last night was ok in the grand scheme of things thanks VQ. I was having a moment because I can't sleep and P is finding it really hard to stay asleep for any length of time because of a) her sodding cold and b) her newfound insistence on being on her front which sometimes means she traps her arm in the bars of the cot.

DH had only just come to bed but was already snoring and farting luxuriantly when p woke with a yell and a poo. I was then basically up and down most of the night resettling her.

DH was also up and down mind you and I didn't notice so I must have got more sleep than I thought. I realised this when I came down stairs to a tidy kitchen.

Passmethecrisps · 15/05/2013 12:16

Oh and chasing that sounds lovely! Bravo lady

Passmethecrisps · 15/05/2013 12:27

I had the implanon implant for 3 years. In that time I had almost continual periods with just occassional breaks. Tiresome. Every time I tried to tackle it I was assured that my periods would stop. I did, however, assure my GP that it was excellent contraception - highly effective.

GTbaby · 15/05/2013 12:55

Sad Stuck to sofa with sleeping baby on me. He seems to be in a deep sleep but I'm weary about moving him as I'm not really Mobil/agile enough to make a smooth transfer. Hmm It's taken an hour to settle him so really don't want to wake him.
I have no other choice then to sit here And watch loose womentv.

BigPigLittlePig · 15/05/2013 13:28

I want to be in the cycling club too not really, no sign of anything yet

Nice to see you back pr, we knew sweary Wednesday would drag you back! I have been known to be a bit temperamental emotionally unstable when PMT strikes, not looking forward to it tbh. God help dh!

Det F is also very distractable and has a vice like grip - so at lunch today, the bowl of pureed carrot was much more amusing than the spoon containing carrot. And was grabbed. And nearly upended over said baby. Luckily disaster was averted, and, bonus, she got to exercise her new found indignant screech Hmm

Kyz glad to hear E is doing better. I thought of you today, as I gave F a square of toast to nom on after her carrot. Chunks of it were coming off, into her actual mouth. I took the toast off her, then realised that the point of food is, of course, to eat it. So gave it back. But my heart was in my mouth the whole time. Bloody nightmare.

Chasing coffee sounds lurvely.

GT nowt wrong with daytime tv!

PetiteRaleuse · 15/05/2013 13:35

I don't ever get depressed - I'm quite lucky that way as there's quite a bit in my family. But I can't imagine coping for more than a few days with the PMT I have had the last couple of months. I have to work out a way to deal with it. Next month I'll be in the UK so hopefully being away will be enough of a distraction.

Kyzordz · 15/05/2013 13:36

Lol bplp I would/will be just like that! Did f enjoy her toast? How did you give it to her? I'm really nervous about toast and probably shouldn't purposefully offer new things whilst he's ill. The carrot and broccoli were accidental. Aaand he had some bits of broccoli in his poo so must've swallowed some! Sorry for tmi

He's still drinking alot less, and seems to prefer the slower flow teat again :/ I've no idea why, wondered if it could be because he can't breathe very well, and with a size 3 he has to take bigger breaths through his nose than he has to with the twos. Or a faster flow might be too much for his sore throat. Who knows! They are my best guesses!

PetiteRaleuse · 15/05/2013 13:36

And thank you pig

BigPigLittlePig · 15/05/2013 13:39

Kyz I just gave it to her completely plain - no puree/spread on it. I cut a corner off my white toast, so the crust was nice and solid for her to hold me to grab in case of emergency and she sucked the middle bit til it was pulpy and then it disappeared, never to be seen again. She appeared to love it. Living up to her piggy nickname so far.

ChasingDaisy · 15/05/2013 13:40

Shattered. Nice day out with O and managed the bus journey without catastrophe. Spent the whole journey trying to pluck up the courage to ask a woman where her super-awesome pram was from, but she got off. before I could ask.

My fanjo is absolutely killing for some reason. Really struggled to rock O to sleep just now. Luckily he seems as exhausted as me as he went off quickly. Detective you have my sympathies, it is horrible Sad

Time to catch up with thread now.

StuntNun · 15/05/2013 13:43

Madam with working I would say make life easy for yourself and give the night feed. You can always try dropping it again at a later date.

The GP blew me off regarding the reflux so the HV suggested buying Infant Gaviscon OTC. Any tips on giving it? Do I have to give it at the end of the feed or can I give it part way through in case he falls asleep?

OP posts:
BigPigLittlePig · 15/05/2013 13:48

Stunt I always gave it at the beginning, in a bottle with some ebm. Sorry the GP was a wanktard. I would also suggest not going in at the full dose - start with perhaps a couple of sachets a day. We started on the full dose and it caused havoc, and I think 12 days of non-pooping.

LuisGarcia · 15/05/2013 13:56

Sorry, knees hurt too much for cycling yet. Sounds fun though. Next time maybe.

Suddenly, overnight, L is a babbler. Today is the first day either of my babies have babbled, and boy is she having fun telling us stories.

Welcome back, PR.

ChasingDaisy · 15/05/2013 14:00

PR I think SSRI's are sometimes prescribed for bad PMT. Medical types, please correct me if I m wrong. It may only be 4 days a month but if it is affecting you this badly it may be worth looking into options.

pig I can't wait until O can have bread. I think JJ mentioned that she thought white bread was better as wholemeal etc contain too much fibre. Will look into this before I give him bread. He's having a break from solids for today as I think his tummy needs a little break. Tomorrow we try breakfast and lunch for the first time Smile

Madam if it was me I would be offering a feed. Could be a growth spurt. I am just Envy of babies that sleep through. We are so far from that being a possibility.

Yes Luis remember it is sweary Wednesday and you can unleash your wrath today.

StuntNun · 15/05/2013 14:03

Eek BigPig sounds scary. I'm seeing the GP again on Friday, mayb I'll be able to throw myself on her mercy! The HV strongly implied that the GPs had been advised ordered not to prescribe IG and to make parents buy it OTC anyway. Maybe if it's effective I can talk them into giving me something easier to administer. Of course it may not make any difference but at this point I think it's worth a try. J is still puking frequently, feeding for a long time and having pains while feeding and through the day. I don't think waiting for him to grow out of it is the best option any more.

ChasingDaisy · 15/05/2013 14:03

Luis that must have been lovely for you to hear Smile

PR you mentioned saying anything to baby in a nice tone of voice for the first six months. Are they now getting to the stage where they can begin to understand what we are saying?

Passmethecrisps · 15/05/2013 14:03

Steamed broccoli = delicious. Steamed baby corn = interesting to sook.
Toast with carrot purée = delicious.

She is quite constipated already so she must be actually eating things. Trying to make sure she takes at least a wee bit of water as well.

horseylady · 15/05/2013 14:05

stunt do you want me to post you some?

Pikz · 15/05/2013 14:23

Right I'm blaming all of you... I too am cycling this morning and I'm on bloody cerazette so shouldn't have any its only my 2nd one since he was born due to bf and mini pill. Explains the puking yesterday and the feeling horrendous Hmm

TheDetective · 15/05/2013 14:24

I jsut logged in and am now typing furiously.

Mad on Stunts behalf.

Fucking cunt knobbing wankstains.

ARGHHHHHHH.

You can buy OTC, BUT(!) it technically shouldn't be bought for under 1's, and the chemist may not sell it to you. I sent DP minus baby to get it when we tried it.

I suppose if you wanted to give it a try, buying one box (which actually, it isn't cheap and you shouldn't have to buy at over £4 for 2.5 days worth - or it is for us) but then if you feel it is helping, tell the GP to prescribe. This is what I have done with the milks, and the IG.

BigPigLittlePig · 15/05/2013 14:24
TheDetective · 15/05/2013 14:26

I wish O would learn to understand 'no' and 'gentle'. My poor face. The poor dog!

He's currently amusing himself kicking the pram wheel. He's a funny thing.

He's also taken to sounding like Beavis and Butthead when a bottle comes his way. Huh huh huhuhuhuhuhuhu huh huh huh. And if you aren't quick enough, he speeds this little routine up for you!!

TheDetective · 15/05/2013 14:28

Speaking of sanitary items, I need recommendations! My period is so bloody heavy - seems I have one normal, one heavy period at the moment. I only use tampons for swimming, as find them uncomfortable at best. So pads it is. But I'm currently wearing 2, and it isn't enough. Shock

They are long, and super absorbency.

What should I get? I'm seriously looking at the maternity pads with longing. Hmm

BigPigLittlePig · 15/05/2013 14:30

Surely 1 maternity pad is more comfy/less bulky than 2 normal pads?
