We too had an agreement of trust. We also had to have a full will in place as we weren't married.

Thechick · 11/04/2013 17:45

Tits we are on 2 'meals' a day. LO was 6 months last Sunday and we started solids about a week ago. We are doing purees and its just getting him used to eating right now not much food and still having a lot of milk.
Chunky I've still got about 12lb to loose. I dropped about 10lb in about 4 weeks using ww but have been the same weight for the last 3. I need to exercise but exercise is no fun.

I hear what you're saying YW. We would be buying the whole property without shared equity with a 95% mortgage. As our deposit contributions would be equal I would be able to take over the mortgage myself should the worst case scenario happen. It is all irrelevant though, he claims he hates SQF Hmm .

Big thumbs down to leaflet pushing dieticians!!

MissMummy1 · 11/04/2013 17:51

Wills. I need to get one. DP and I arent married. This is in the 5 year plan but quite far down once he is consistantly proving to be a decent partner. Should I die, would he get automatic custody of M? Or could I, for example, specify my mum would become her primary carer?

MissMummy1 · 11/04/2013 17:52

And for today's developmental leap: M has decided standing is definitely the way forward. I blame pass 's P!!!

ValiumQueen · 11/04/2013 17:54

The Doctor does not think it is reflux.

The Doctor does not think there is CMPI.

The Doctor does not think there is lactose intolerance.

The Doctor wants me to go dairy free or stop breast feeding completely.

The Doctor wants Jacob back on regular formula so they can take a stool sample to see if there is lactose intolerance.

The Doctor said that Jacob was clearly not ready for solids. Nothing to do with fruit aggravating the reflux.

The Doctor clearly knows fuck all.

I told the Doctor it is reflux, it is CMPI and there was clear evidence of Lactose intolerance secondary to lactose overload. I told the Doctor that the Dietician agreed, and had said that the GP was treating symptoms without identifying the underlying cause and giving the appropriate treatment. I told the GP I wanted a prescription for the CMP and LF formula, and something for the reflux. I also told the GP there was no way on earth that he was going to go back on regular formula just to get a stool sample to prove what is already known and causing unnecessary pain and discomfort to my child.

I have to try Gaviscon first, even though he is already constipated. I have a prescription for the formula but am not to use it until the weekend as he will be right as rain on the Gaviscon. And not to give him any dairy. No shit Sherlock. Just as well you fucking said that!

TheDetective · 11/04/2013 18:03

VQ I will PM you.

PetiteRaleuse · 11/04/2013 18:08

Oh no VQ that must be very frustrating. Is there any way someone who has the prescribed drug you are all talking about could send you a few day's worth to see how it goes? I know that that shouldn't be done but surely desperate times call for desperate measures?

TheDetective · 11/04/2013 18:09

.............

ValiumQueen · 11/04/2013 18:10

pr the nurse in me would not allow that Grin off to read my pm...

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 11/04/2013 18:12

Oh dear vq I don't know what to say? What's your next step?

Clarella · 11/04/2013 18:14

oh vq I feel your pain and utter fucked offness.

see another doctor - young, female if poss with kids? I can't believe how easily I was given omezeprol after I raved about the gavisgon. (but it bunged him up) we never used the omezeprol as we got the tongue tie done which improved everything.

I've now got a list of doctors I will only see about g.

also you have a right to a second opinion and a referral to a consultant.

ValiumQueen · 11/04/2013 18:14

Grin detective

I will talk to the dietician tomorrow, and I will get it sorted. I am fucking fuming though.

TheDetective · 11/04/2013 18:15

VQ you can buy the CMPF formula anyway... so it would be by the book Grin. It's fecking expensive though!

Clarella · 11/04/2013 18:16

the omezeprol I have runs out on the 23rd April if you want that. it's supposed to be less of a 'drug' than ranitadine.

Clarella · 11/04/2013 18:16

I feel Blush about having it as I believe it costs quite a lot...

TheDetective · 11/04/2013 18:17

Yes, tell the GP you want a referral to a paeds cons. specialist in gastro shit! Not in those precise words obv...! Grin

When I looked privately, it was about £100-150 for initial consultation, which is all you really need. Often they will then agree to see you under the NHS anyway after that. It just gets you seen quicker initially...

TheDetective · 11/04/2013 18:18

I've got a fucking pharamcy in this house. Hmm

Until this time last year, you were lucky to find paracetomol here.

Now, my box of drugs is acutely embarrassing. Blush

Clarella · 11/04/2013 18:19

I was told last year I had a total right to ask and to see a consultant endocrinologist over some thyroid stuff. push push push vq ....

ValiumQueen · 11/04/2013 18:22

Thank you for the offers of drugs Grin the formula I want is on order so I can collect from tomorrow. I will speak with the dietician to see what reflux meds would be best as she really seemed to understand the whole mixed feeding side of things.

J is not too bad. If I was that worried I would take him to A&E. I just do not want him to get any worse, which he will if left. I am trying to nip it in the bud.

Thanks again guys, it really helps Thanks

YellowWellies · 11/04/2013 18:23

Oh jeez VQ I hate the way primary care relies so heavily on the personality / CPD of the practitioner Sad Sad Sad Sad What an uninformed tosser.

Use the prescription for the formula and ask for a second opinion re the gaviscon - I do agree with the advice re BF as you don't want to be inadvertently aggravating J when he's trying to seek comfort. Given how stoic he's been and how you think its relatively mild CMPI if you were going to do an elimination diet - you might get away with just excluding the major sources - rather than label checking for traces of dairy. What did he say about soy - feck all I'm guessing? I'm so angry for you - it shouldn't take this long to treat the poor wee man Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

MM I knew you'd have a sensible hat on. I think if DH is on the birth certificate then yes he would count as next of kin but you might want to speak to CAB?

TheDetective · 11/04/2013 18:30

VQ For us, the Gaviscon is only good for the vomiting - J doesn't vomit, or not much anyway, does he?

The ranitidine does the rest of the work.

Ranitidine is the only one (so I have been informed) that does not contain lactose. So that is why we just stuck to that one. Good job it worked!

horseylady · 11/04/2013 18:33

I think your mum counts as next if kin. You would have to specify dh I think?!

I assumed you were buying outright lol otherwise what yw said. If you don't plan on selling and paying off the mortgage as quick as you can thn generally there are no issues. Are you using a buy to let mortgage? What's the rest of your 5 year plan? Our 5 year plans generally involve property buying!!
