I want hot chocolate Sad

Can we all chuck some sleepy dust at Luis, please, so he doesn't wuss out cancel tomorrow's meet up again Thanks if a little could waft its way here too on its way across the Solent I'd be grateful...

ChasingDaisy · 04/04/2013 20:35

VQ you have a wonderful way with words and are very wise. I know you have been a great source of support to many people in this quiche.

Pig as Clarella says, this quiche shows that everything does indeed pass. VQ was having sleep troubles with J not that long ago and now he is the king of all things sleep.

I too, look forward to chatting to Luis at night even though I was slightly sceptical about a man in our quiche and am thankful for his non sleeping children Wink. However, tonight, in the interests of quiche meet ups I am sending him buckets of sleepy dust.

You know you post too much on this fred when spellchecker has now saved posters' names!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/04/2013 20:38

Whole family of six in bed. Sleeping. Reading. Coughing. Grin

YellowWellies · 04/04/2013 20:40

VQ Dudess you seriously need to be writing a book. Beautiful beautiful wise post. AGAIN.

Det (dull party pooper alert) don't buy another buggy until you're back at work and both cars have been MOTed and serviced, and the boiler looked at - step away from the shiny shiny bugaboo!!!! You'll regret it if something goes bang before you're back at work. To be fair the only buggy I've ever heard dissed by its owner - a total stranger was the donkey (I think? the weird looking one with the tiny front wheels?). She was chatting to her pal in the Waverley station lift I was in, glanced at my solas decent sized wheels and pointed out to her mate how 'this expensive piece of shit has the castors off a fucking office chair - that's what wheels should look like' Grin Shock

BPLP a haircut will help. And the regression will pass. Time off and sunshine really help. I got an hour off today to go to the docs for a broken fanjo - sad, but given the weather, it was lovely!!! how my expectations have fallen Got a physio referral and the all clear that my bits aren't permanently busted. Huzzah

Pass your posts always make me smile, and I've always had a soft spot for P as a fellow brave CMPI battler - sorry to hear you sounding down these last few days. Hope you're groovy.

We get the new house keys tomorrow!!!! Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile fingers crossed....

I get loads more done when it is me and four kids. I. Do. Not. Know. Why.

Yesterday DH got home at 7. 2 boys in bed. Immaculate kitchen, loads of washing complete and brought in off line. 2 girls in pjs. Chilled.

Today. He is home at 16:15 or something. Chaos. Tantrums. Mess. Silliness. One of those mad bedtime hours. Why I ask? Makes me look like a complete incompetent.

YellowWellies · 04/04/2013 20:55

Pennie Shock Shock Shock Shock Shock poor SIL! EEEeeeek that made me cross my legs and remember to do my pelvic floor exercises There but for the grace of the gods indeed Sad

Evilwater · 04/04/2013 20:55

I've been to a funeral today. Sad It was very good, the place was packed but I hate being so sad. He was such a wonderful man, such a shame. It was also my second cousins funeral, he was 25. Sad

I thankful for my son, who's asleep at the moment.
My wonderful family, who are very supportive.
My P, who at times can test me.
My friends, for being them.

Evil

MissMummy1 · 04/04/2013 20:55

Wonderful words VQ

YAYYYYYY!! YW

The frog is costing me £80, and that's including a raincover, maxi cosi carseat and adaptors (I plan to skip the carseat but use the adaptors), buggyboard which will be ebayed and a coseytoes. It was advertised for £120 - I haggled Smile . Claims to be in excellent condition, we will see when I pick it up in the morning. Det I would buy it, espesh if it's in a good condition for that price, but I've had it in my head since I got pregnant that I wanted a Bugaboo.

MissMummy1 · 04/04/2013 20:58

Xpost pennie and evil. Sad Sorry to hear about your SIL - fxd all will be okay. Hugs evil No words. xxx Thanks

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/04/2013 20:59

Noooooooooo my 2.5 is still in his his bugaboo (donkey ) seat and we love it. He is tall for his age. I don't strap him anymore I just put the bar over. They are lightweight and good quality. Every folding buggy I have had the sun shade gets bent squey wifey in the boot and the bugaboo hasn't, still looks as good a new. Sold my first one on for nearly half the price we bought for. det I would go for it.

MaMaPo · 04/04/2013 20:59

OK so I'm tired and new here so I didn't do the thankful bit. Let me get that sorted.

I am thankful for my healthy, happy baby, and my adorable/adorkable endlessly supportive husband who always knows the right thing to say.

I am thankful for amazing technology that allowed me to have a chat with my parents on the other side of the world, and allowed them to see their newest grandchild that they haven't even met.

I'm thankful I had a warm place to retreat to from the snow.

I'm thankful that my baby has, at least 3 times now, been able to fall asleep on her own in the crib.

I'm thankful for the fucking internet! Grin

Masses of good sleepy dust to all.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/04/2013 21:01

Also....I never felt the need to get a McClaren or similar, I just stuck with the bugaboo. But with my other travel systems I did need to go for a smaller lighter weight model.

Passmethecrisps · 04/04/2013 21:02

Funny sophia I was wondering why when DH comes home after bedtime P goes down a dream. Before bedtime and it is usually much harder. I think she is excited to see her daddy.

YW! How exciting!!! I am sooo looking forward to the meet up next week. Will mm be rocking her new perambulator?

Passmethecrisps · 04/04/2013 21:05
Evilwater · 04/04/2013 21:08

Thanks MM1. Ill feel better tomorrow.

Evil

Clarella · 04/04/2013 21:09

oh dear pennies :/

hugs evil. makes me thankful.

I'm very bad. convinced baby has temp after jabs. woke sleeping baby to give calpol (yes I know you're not supposed to) and a hydrating feed. Dh out. I know he wouldn't have let me. this is baby who went down in cot with no bobbing and just some hand holding and shushing. oops.

pidg why no chocolate? or just none in house? it's been proven to lower blood pressure and a whole host of other stuff. (70%+) I'd see pure cocoa in milk as a medicine for you right now missis

lol pass! slightly clueless

Passmethecrisps · 04/04/2013 21:16

Oh! And pennie's story of scariness reminded me I have a question I need To ask the quiche.

I was at the doc for P on Tuesday getting her weighed. As you might know she has dropped through the centiles again and is being referred back to the consultant at hospital. So, the doc is glancing through my records and asking questions about the birth. The conversation went a bit like this:

Doc: normal birth?
Me: yes, completely.
Doc: was she to term?
Me: late actually. Induced due to concerns about foetal growth
Doc: ah. I see there was meconium . . .
Me: really? First I've heard of it.
Doc: hmm. Says meconium was passed
Me: does that not mean that P did a meconium poo after she was born?
Doc: hmm. Yeah . . . Probably. Yeah. I'm sure that's it . . .
Doc: oh. She had something haematoma.
Me: bruising on her head? Yeah. She had a really big head
Doc: hmm. So were there foreceps used.
Me: nope
Doc: so ventouse then?
Me: nope. I asked for an episiotomy and they just yanked her out
Doc: with ventouse or something? Foreceps?
Me: no. The midwife used her hands.
Doc: heh. Hmm. Well. I think I will make that referral.

As you can probably tell I have gone through this conversation again a few times. Is it possible that there were issues at birth that I wasn't made aware of? Thinking about it, why was Penelope's head all bruised? What was it pressing against?

I am being paranoid. The doc just seemed odd. Like she couldn't quite piece things together.

Passmethecrisps · 04/04/2013 21:18

Oh no no no no! The dung spreader is full of sleep dust!! Oh fuck! I forgot to mention the sleepy dust. luis I am sorry! I wasn't covering your door in shit!

Oh crap Blush

MissMummy1 · 04/04/2013 21:19

I do hope so pass (Unless I get there and it's crap. Then I will be disappointed!)

Det I will be keeping my big My3 with it's massive wheels for "off road" jaunts (aka the coastal path...) as it does grand there.

I am going to have to buy a smaller car. Our lovely new estate car is very powerful. I have just got an insurance quote for next year taking into account my recent accidents. Fuck me it will cost more than my insurance did when I was 17 and just passed my test! And was driving a 1.9 diesel car!! My insurance is literally trippling in price because of two stupid wankbadgers. Booo Sad

Catbag · 04/04/2013 21:20

Alright quiche :)

clarella I have an Out n About Nipper 360; I absolutely love it. I have the double version for the twins (obviously). It is incredibly light. I can push it with one hand and hold my five yr old's hand with the other, which is great when I am doing the school walk run, and the kids and I have rambled around fields and whatnot with it with ease. Would definitely recommend it.

vq J rocks. Obviously gets it from his mother Grin

mm Yay for wanton spending (although £80 on a pushchair probably isn't that wanton!)

yw Woooo for house keys! Exciting stuff. Want to see more house porn on FB when you get moving in. Such a beautiful house.

detective IG manufacturers- wtf?! 'Report you?' To whom, exactly?

pidj Shit day for you :( VQ is right though. Draw a line under today, have an early night (if you can) and remember that tomorrow is another day Thanks

Clarella · 04/04/2013 21:22

lol pass! less confused now

Catbag · 04/04/2013 21:23

pass I was wondering what luis had done to upset you... Grin
