Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
itsMYNutella · 04/04/2013 07:53

Thanks again ladies. I did read your replies last night but also did my best to go to sleep pretty quick incase DS was really unsettled.

Spotty sorry you had a bad night! Enjoy the bunny Grin

Eggs brilliant about the photo! When you are house hunting looking at photos of other people's homes on the Internet is always the best part Wink

DS settled after the calpol and slept till 2:20 fed, slept till 5:40 fed and slept again till 8:30 Shock he went to sleep last night at 9 and is never normally in bed so long. Each feed has taken over 30mins. And I got DP to change him at 6ish...
Still no idea what is / was up with the boy. Will take your advice Clarella and see how he is tonight.

MaMaPo · 04/04/2013 07:55

Pretty bad night here too. She woke at 10, husband tried to give ebm and she lost it. I had to feed her, she was hysterical. Then up at 2.30, 5 and up at 6.30. I feel pretty drained even though it could be much much worse

Eggs, your night sounds amazing!

Spotty, I'll share your egg

Barbeasty · 04/04/2013 08:00

Yep, thinking of finishing my easter egg, as 2 cups of tea just aren't cutting it in the mornings this week!

Think it was every hour to 90 minutes last night (again) and we haven't quite hit 4 months. Not sure there's much to regress from next weekend, so fingers crossed he's regressed early!

I went on the postnatal course organised by our local children's centre yesterday. Thought it might be good to meet more local mums with babies a similar age... It was just me and the course leader!

Of course now I feel too guilty not to go to the other 3 sessions and leave her sitting on her own for an hour!

EggsMichelle · 04/04/2013 09:59

He's gone back to bed! Having a proper sleep catch up apparently. Barbeasty the first time I went to our breast feeding group I was the only mum with 2 not very helpful "experts", was a very uncomfortable experience.

SpottyTeacakes · 04/04/2013 13:12

I just cried at OBEM. I never cry normally I'm really hormonal at the moment Hmm

Cornishlaydee · 04/04/2013 13:50

Hello all, my daughter was born 3rd dec but I've not been on here before! Just thought I'd say hello and ask - do any of you have any kind of routine? Mine just naps whenever she feels the need, usually in a car seat, pram, sling, lap, bouncy seat etc....rarely in the crib - if she naps in crib it only lasts 30 mins and she is fed to sleep at night (wasn't always but stopped self settling around 2 months) x

SpottyTeacakes · 04/04/2013 14:14

Welcome Cornish Smile we have a bedtime routine but that's it. It's impossible with two children! He usually has a morning nap 1.5-2 hours after waking but only for half an hour or so. I try to get him to have it in his cot but if it's a nursery day then it's in the car. Other naps are in the bouncer. Not sure what I'll do when he's too big for that Confused

MaMaPo · 04/04/2013 14:26

Hi Cornish and welcome!

My daughter C has a vague routine - she has a bath around 6.15 with a quiet feed, swaddle and bed and that's quite consistent. She often feeds to sleep as she just drifts off. She goes into her crib for a nap 1.5-2 hours after waking, and in last few days has been able to self-settle with dummy. Apart from that, all bets are off! I feed on demand which is between 2.5-3.5 hourly during the day (but more frequent at the moment as she's in a growth spurt and feeling hungry!).

IsThatTrue · 04/04/2013 15:01

Nope not a good night last night but our boiler turned off again so I think he was waking because he was cold. Brought him into bed with me at 5 and he slept until 8. He was brilliant in the big cot though, so proud of him. Told DH he wasn't going into his own room until he was sleeping through or 1yo! Lol I'm such a pushover with him!

It's snowing Angry and we've got to walk 2 miles to take dd to a party oh the joys!

SpottyTeacakes · 04/04/2013 15:06

Snowing here too Hmm

Ds will not sleep Sad I'm so bloody tired and today is my only day without dd and he's just not having it. He's slept maybe an hour all day and been awake since 11:30

Barbeasty · 04/04/2013 15:45

A 2 hour walk woke me up this morning (and let A sleep). It snowed, but only briefly.

Took A to be weighed and now he's down to the 5th centile (9th last time, 75th at birth). Got a Dr appointment for next week to see about doing something for the sickness.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 04/04/2013 16:52

Sorry there we're so many bad nights and days. Glad the chocolate is taking the edge off.

Poor A Barbeasty, I hope someone listens to you now. It is you who's struggled to get help isn't it?

No routine here Cornish, he normally naps around 1.5-2h after waking in a morning but this morning he missed it as DP was messing with him so he's been a cranky bugger all day.

I keep having to hide pile cream, canestan, enormous bags of sanitary towels for never ending period, whenever we have viewers Eggs. Hopefully you caught it before too many people saw it.

No snow here, it's very sunny and feels quite warm compared to earlier in the week.

Today I am sitting on my hands. J has a mahousive yellow-headed spot on his chin! IT IS CALLING TO ME! I haven't squeezed it cos DP made me promise on pain of death but it looks awful. SQUEEZE ME, SQUEEZE ME, SQUEEZE ME

itsMYNutella · 04/04/2013 17:08

Willyou DS has had some big spots. He had really bad milk rash at about 5 weeks and ended up with crusty eyebrows which I did give a little scratch.... But I was very gentle and it was only to get rid of the dead skin caught up in his eyebrows.

Cornish no routine here either except a fairly consistent bedtime and a nap about 2 hours after he gets up in the morning.

After the calpol last night he seemed fine but we had the similar grumpiness and refusal to nap today. There was also the uncomfortable cry rather than just tired grizzled so I gave him another dose of calpol. He slept for almost 2 hours. Now he is his usual chatty self... We shall see what bedtime brings.

SpottyTeacakes · 04/04/2013 17:12

Oh dear Barbeasty I hope the dr is helpful Smile

Nutella ds had the eyebrow thing too I think it was cradle cap but it cleared pretty quickly on its own. He still has cradle cap on his head though. Jealous of your two hour morning nap Envy

WillYou ds had one on his chin too I feel your pain!

Secondsop · 04/04/2013 17:22

Hello all. An ok night here - he slept 10-3 then woke up at 6 and wouldn't settle despite it not being very long since his last bottle, so I brought him into the bed next to me and he fell asleep immediately for another hour.

Sorry to hear of all the sleep regressions; I think we're there too as Z had been sleeping through to 5 or 6 or even later before.

Went to the hospital today (it's 2 trains to get there) for an appointment to get a blood pressure monitor fitted that is to intermittently check my pressure over a few hours. They told me, though, that I'd have to bring it back before 11 tomorrow which I just can't do as I have no childcare and i cant bring Z as i can't handle all the train steps (and there are a lot) on my own and Z isnt happy in the baby bjorn for that long. And there's no-one I can really ask to trek in to King's to return it for me. They wouldn't let me bring It in any other time or post it or courier it, and wouldn't fit it unless I could guarantee to bring it back tomorrow. So Ive had to cancel it and go back into the system to get it rearranged for when my husband is back from Dubai. Such a pain, a trek in for nothing.

Good news is that Z is almost at the 9th centile! It's where he was at birth but he dropped down to 0.4 and stayed there for weeks, and had climbed up to the 1st centile just before we left for Australia at the end of Feb.

SpottyTeacakes · 04/04/2013 17:25

That's rubbish seconds. How did I miss that your husband is in Dubai?!

Great news on the weight gain you've done really well Smile and Z too but he couldn't have done it without you!

HoneyMumandSon · 04/04/2013 17:39

Sorry just to drop in- will catch up properly if D ever sleeps. Just wondering if anyone else's LO leans to one side when sitting in bumbo or high chair or similar? I just noticed this morning and stupidly googled and found it can be an early sign of autism. It could also be that he's just still young and muscles haven't developed but that would be the sensible part to focus in and my brain doesn't work like that. Has anyone else got a tilting LO?

SpottyTeacakes · 04/04/2013 17:43

Yes honey ds does this dd did too, it's just because they're still little Smile

HoneyMumandSon · 04/04/2013 17:44

Thanks spotty I know I can always rely on you to reassured on here you deserve a medal... Or some cake

EggsMichelle · 04/04/2013 17:59

Seconds they should have told you it was a two part appointment when they gave you the appointment, what a frustrating waste of your time.

Got a good night time routine, but nothing in the day appart from a 3hr nap at some point in the day in his cot.

For the first time in weeks, F is having a nap on me and I'm loving it!

EggsMichelle · 04/04/2013 18:00

Honey F leans to one side in his door bouncer.

HoneyMumandSon · 04/04/2013 18:05

Thanks eggs

Clarella · 04/04/2013 18:08

honey g leans to one side as I always carried him on the left shoulder. I've never heard of that link to autism. gorgeous little Dash has waaaaaay to much eye contact and interaction for that btw!

Clarella · 04/04/2013 18:11

great news about the weight gain secondsop! wow you've worked hard to get him there!

HoneyMumandSon · 04/04/2013 18:12

Thanks clarella - you know me, if I can worry about it, I will!
