Any remaining lurkers, would you like to de-lurk and announce yourselves? We won't bite!

I've missed lots haven't I? Been a busy day! Hope all is well, will try n catch up but I don't think I'll manage it!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 24/03/2013 20:48

Right my plan tomorrow is to try and offer boob every 3 hours and see if this makes a difference. I shall stick with this plan for a few days as per vq and her it takes 3 days for a baby to learn something new.

We have no couch so I'm upstairs sitting in bed. I'm still in agony from sitting and lying on the floor yesterday before giving in and coming to bed. Tried dusting tv stand and now having an epic sneezing fit which is not helping the fact my insides fall out everytime I sneeze or cough!! Thankfully couch is due between 12-3 tomorrow. Woohoo!

Kyzordz · 24/03/2013 20:49

Oh wait I remember reading new names, so welcome lurkers!

Passmethecrisps · 24/03/2013 20:50

Just been looking at property porn. Who spends £2 million to live in a new build estate in Clackmannanshire? What do they do? Does anyone else ever have the urge to knock on the doors of beautiful houses and say "hello. I really like your house. What do you do for a living? How do you get to live here?"

Passmethecrisps · 24/03/2013 20:54

Fingers crossed izzy! My sister had a baby who slept 7 hours during the day and woke all night - it took 1 day to start seeing a difference and 3 days to have a 10 hour a night sleeping baby. He is very chilled as well like J so I really really hope it works.

Also. You reminded me that I MUST make an appointment for my broken fanjo. If I need a wee and don't go immediately my fanjo starts to ache. Then it feels sore. That's not just what happens. No?

Passmethecrisps · 24/03/2013 20:54

Hallo kyz

Nice to be busy. Were you baking?

Lily311 · 24/03/2013 20:58

We had a miserable dAy today, she is so sensitive. I was glued on the sofa watching telly while she napped on me. That bit was nice. She is such a cutie but hard work.

I am debating whether to stay up and do dream feed or go to sleep and be woken up by a crying baby at one point.

ValiumQueen · 24/03/2013 21:00

Worth a try izzy and we need pics of the lounge.

pass is that the estate by Dollar? We had a drive around there, just for a laugh.

BigPigLittlePig · 24/03/2013 21:05

I know it's been said before but...
Why oh why, just when you think you've got your baby sussed, do they turn it all upside down?? WHY?!

Passmethecrisps · 24/03/2013 21:10

For shit and giggles BP. I swear.

That's the one VQ. How bizarre. There was a pretty ordinary 4 bed house with offers over £500,000. Views of hills and a posh wall outside the estate are obviously very valuable

Pikz · 24/03/2013 21:13

Deffo worth a try Izzy we did a bit of it to get him to eat more during the day and sleep better at night. It did work.

Night ladies... Hoping grumpy monkey boy is feeling a bit better tomorrow.

YellowWellies · 24/03/2013 21:20

Pass, VQ is that on the Glen Devon road? We stumbled across it a few weeks ago when out for a drive and were like WTF?

Passmethecrisps · 24/03/2013 21:27

It is up the hill from Dollar on the road to coalsnaughton. Glendevon is near Gleneagles. Not sure about glen Devon drive. There is a village outside Tillicoultry called Devon or devonside maybe.

Passmethecrisps · 24/03/2013 21:29

Sorry - road. Glendevon drive is round the corner from us and I can assure you that noone has a sauna, steam room and a swimming pool on my road!!

Kyzordz · 24/03/2013 21:32

Hey pass, not baking unfortunately, but making the little man laugh and chuckle. Turns out he likes being thrown around in a manner akin to fair rides and I love the sound of his laugh. Rest of time spent trying to get him to nap, he appeared to not fancy much sleep today! Have also spent a good hour or two listening to him talk. He can do goo's and b's and o's and L's now and the concentration on his little face as he tries to form new sounds is both fascinating and adorable!

bp they do indeed do it for a laugh I reckon! If I think I've got LO sussed in one way or another, and especially if I dare tell anyone he turns it on it's arse and makes me out to be a liar!

Sounds like a plan izzy

I'd go for the dream feed lily cos I loathe to be woken unexpectedly if I can help it!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 24/03/2013 21:33

Will post pics on FB when couch has arrived. I still need to get curtains and cushions but that can wait. Can't decide what length curtains to get, couch will be right in front of window so I thought short but you may be able to see a bit on one side so maybe long would be better. After a LOT of googling I found some I liked.

I'm hopeful that some of you think that feeding more during the day may help. Maybe this will be the magic cure?!?

ValiumQueen · 24/03/2013 21:43

izzy always floor length.

Contradictionincarnate · 24/03/2013 21:47

wish whoever it was who mentioned property porn yesterday hadn't spent hours last night looking at this morning looking with dsis...
found a house offers over 1.5 mil that is perfect.
indoor pool large garden a pond tennis court folley ...and another smaller property on grounds for dsis to live in and is just round the corner from mil ...
would have to buy a house nearby for my parents though.
...dd up and crying ... going to try to leave her as long as I can as did last night ...
not working Sad

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 24/03/2013 21:58

Floor length even tho couch will be in front of them so won't see length? That's what was confusing me.

Contradictionincarnate · 24/03/2013 21:58

noway she was going to go back down then ...
I really think I have to stop comparing dd to other babies and that I must relax and try to grow my mummy confidence ...

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 24/03/2013 22:36

J has had a pathetic feed and fallen asleep so will be transferring to cot soon. No doubt will be up in an hour or so :(
