Any remaining lurkers, would you like to de-lurk and announce yourselves? We won't bite!

Sweet potato, normal potato.
Just plain old gravy, but made with the duck juices from cooking.
Is it wrong that I'm dribbling at the thought, despite eating it already?

PetiteRaleuse · 24/03/2013 19:07

I'm dribbling.

am having roast lamb tomorrow though.

BigPigLittlePig · 24/03/2013 19:10

Did I mention the roaring open fire? Today feels like a nice day.

We have also been looking for cars - narrowed down the 2nd car to two potentials. We've got to replace the main car too, currently a lovely Golf. Probably going to get something very similar, however we have seen this and fallen a bit in love. DH is like a kid at Christmas at the thought.

ValiumQueen · 24/03/2013 19:12

Ooh two types of potato. Talk about posh! That sounds awesome. We had pizza as the girls were at GPs. Not a patch on a roast.

pr hopefully spring and a break from nursery will give you a chance to recharge your batteries, and poor little DD1s too. Thanks

BigPigLittlePig · 24/03/2013 19:14

Au contraire vq. They both get cut up and stuck in the same roasting tin together. Now, if it was roasties and mash, or roasties and dauphiniose - now that's posh and much to much like hard work

ValiumQueen · 24/03/2013 19:14

I am glad someone has had a nice day. Not jealous at all. Ok, maybe a little.

ChasingDaisy · 24/03/2013 19:15

Watching a programme about mums and babies on BBC3 and have already spotted my pram, bouncer and snug. Am telling myself I must have good taste.

chasing I recognise stuff in Call the Midwife. I must be old and cheap.

PetiteRaleuse · 24/03/2013 19:22

It's horrible watching them suffer. I want to take all their bugs and problems and have them myself instead. They are just too young to understand.

I want to get them to the sea side or the mountains to have a lungful of healthy air but the weather is so vile. I grew up in an area with sea and hills and was never ill. Here it is clean countryside but not enough.

Contradictionincarnate · 24/03/2013 19:35

just turned over should I not be watching this programme??
can't believe d used to be that tiny!

TheDetective · 24/03/2013 19:36

Got a very grumpy baby here :(

Tried everything. Nothing working. Fucksticks.

TheDetective · 24/03/2013 19:37

Oh ok, Lion king working?!?!?!

ChasingDaisy · 24/03/2013 19:37

I'm enjoying it contra. Find it strangely comforting to see that its not plain sailing for everyone.

Contradictionincarnate · 24/03/2013 19:47

yeah and they seem very intelligent young women! that judgemental one is a bit annoying though.

Passmethecrisps · 24/03/2013 19:49

Hallo.

Oooo I love a roast potato. My preferred method is to boil for 10 minutes, shoogle in a colander and leave to cool. Put in a roasting dish with melted butter, salt and pepper. Place in a hot oven for 30 minutes. Take out of over, turn potatoes and squish slightly with a masher. Add quartered red onions and garlic. Coat everything in butter and place back in over for a further 30 minutes. Nom

Pr bugs need to give you and your weins a fucking rest.

detective teething?

Contradictionincarnate · 24/03/2013 19:56

the birth is bringing back the pain! Shock

Contradictionincarnate · 24/03/2013 19:57

BigPigLittlePig · 24/03/2013 20:15

Such a sleep dodger here tonight.
Her eyes were rolling in her head, and she was done feeding, so I thought "right I'll put her in her crib". She lay there beaming at me and headbutting the mattress for 5 minutes, then stopped and unleashed a torrent of poo, filling her sleeping bag.
We're back downstairs now eating cake

Contradictionincarnate · 24/03/2013 20:30

aw I was gonna have trifle come up v early with wailing banshee

TheDetective · 24/03/2013 20:31

Le siiiiigh.

It's been a long day...

No sign of teeth.

Calpol kept him settled for 20 minutes.

Now attempting bed. Confused

Tell me what's wrong damnit!!

Passmethecrisps · 24/03/2013 20:37

No contra! It's a family recipe handed down generations . . . Honest!! my granny's favourite food was smash and tinned meatballs

Passmethecrisps · 24/03/2013 20:38

If calpol not working wind? Acid? Just fucking grumpy?

Evilwater · 24/03/2013 20:39
