Any remaining lurkers, would you like to de-lurk and announce yourselves? We won't bite!

Any one get on with sainsburys size 3 nappies - I don't know why but we always end up with a bear with a wet back in them. Have 3/4 of a huge pack - free to a good home.

VQ DH too is incapable of closing a wipes pack or putting nappies in the bin - I persuaded myself that its because he's focused on the baby

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 23/03/2013 16:20

In that case yw I'm up for a meet asap!

ChunkyEasterChick · 23/03/2013 16:22

YW found the poo-splosions were terrible with Sainsburys ones, but DD suited the bigger sizes. So might go back to them later. Aldi ones are good BTW.

VQ ditto.

Grumpy baby had a poo-ey nappy. Once changed he was happier. Then he got grumpy again. I fed him. He's asleep. Despite a 2.5hr nap this morning. He is not a happy chappy.

ValiumQueen · 23/03/2013 17:04

yw my little cherub was a rascal last time so do not worry. I had to walk the little darling around to stop him screaming.

ValiumQueen · 23/03/2013 17:05

yw have you ventured into cloth yet? I can bring a selection of my stash to the meet if you want to see them?

YellowWellies · 23/03/2013 17:09

Woo yes VQ! Would love to try but don't know where to start. MM can also vouch for Jonas' "she's kidnapping me" shrieks when being manhandled into his snow suit and buggy.... My son is not entirely stoic a great big screechy girl

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 23/03/2013 17:09

Am jealous of all the IKEA meet ups. No IKEA south of Bristol, although Exeter is meant to be getting one in 2015!

Pikz · 23/03/2013 17:14

Thank fucking god for nanny.

PurplePidjin · 23/03/2013 17:15

Thanks, Dicks, but support is plenty and I'm very grateful. Unless someone's hiring Wink dp's skills are somewhat more commercial than mine Are you going to GTI Springfest at the Pod? We're thinking about it as there's a forum meet of dp's the day before and the travelodge is £25.

Nursery ready and waiting, tonight's the night

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 23/03/2013 17:17

Right when's the next meet then?! I vote a tues or wed as I have a DD free days!

Evilwater · 23/03/2013 17:17

Madam- I'd love a ikea in the south west. BTW you have John Lewis (not that I'm bitter), us lot in Plymouth were surposed to be getting ikea!

I have a cold, gr....Angry been watching the sidicate, oh if I had money.

Evil

Passmethecrisps · 23/03/2013 17:37

Hooray for another meet!

Tuesday works for me.

We have just moved to size 3 sainsbury's - we can take hem off your hands YW

I have the grumpiest baby in the world today.

Thank goodness for caped and chasing! I would be moving all the clocks

Passmethecrisps · 23/03/2013 17:40

Oh and YW I have some Little lambs OSFA which you can have - stopped kidding myself that I will ever use them.

katkit1 · 23/03/2013 17:47

Waiting until 6 months here too re: weaning - would like to see wobble baby sit by himself first.

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/03/2013 18:26

Have had a very grumpy DH today. Mainly due to the weather so golf is off. God forebid he might have to spend some time with his family. As it was I took the girls to my friends for the afternoon and had a very pleasant time. I'm not exactly pleased to have this crappy freezing weather back. Where the fuck is spring??

Getting a Chinese take away tonight, my favourite. Not going to do my waist line any favours. I'm piling on all the weight that I lost when E was born Hmm i blame all the biscuits and chocolates I munched on in hospital. after Easter I will start doing exercise.....she says.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 23/03/2013 18:58

Just managed to clip DS's skin cutting his nails. DH refuses to do it. Then told me to be more careful Angry DS doesnt seem to fussed. I did it while he was in the bath - his favourite time of day.

Chinese - yum eliza

evil JL is nice but too expensive to actually shop in!

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 23/03/2013 18:58

*too fussed

Limpit80 · 23/03/2013 19:31

YW I have found the same with Sainsbury size 3, but we only use them at night (cloth in the day) so thought it was cos I was leaving him too long.
Does anyone use cloth at night?
madam Im.a total wimp when it comes to finger nails and make OH fo it. Sure there's no lasting harm done.
Two old friends came by today and it made me really wish I had close friends nearby . This parenting lark can be a lonely business!

YellowWellies · 23/03/2013 19:32

Madam my DH is also a nail cutting wuss. Last time he tried I swear he got a nervous sweat / shakes. Hmmph must be nice to be able to opt out of baby care jobs eh?

Pass have Jonas and P gotten the same orders from baby HQ? Total whingebag today - I can't tell if its teeth (his top ones look close), or the fact he vommed up a dose of meds last night at 35 mins after I'd given it and I erred on the side of caution and didn't redose. Hope he's not had an acid surge all day. I'd feel rotten if that's the case. Or meh whether he's pissy just because! Only I will do all day - whereas normally Daddy is comedy gold.

The Sainsburys pants are P's - I'll have a bash with the fabric frillies for J. Swap at IKEA grey squirrel? We have to dress as spies Grin

Tuesdays are good for us too. Pretty flexible really. Would love to meet you all. Are Georgee and Mrswee on the FB group or did we lose them along the way?

ValiumQueen · 23/03/2013 19:49

limpit I have used cloth at night in the past, but I am having problems with this wean so just want to get the little sod back to sleep ASAP. Once things are a bit better I will be dusting off my night nappies. I like bamboozle stretch or LL bamboo with fleece wraps best. I use fuzzi bunz, LL OSFA and Alva baby in the day. I love pockets.

misslaughalot · 23/03/2013 19:50

Limpit we use cloth at night. We only have the Little Lamb osfas for day and night. Babylaughalot can't quite go all night in one, I generally whip the old one off and pop a new one on her while she's in her cot before the last night feed. I've just ordered some bamboo boosters to see if they'll help her last all night so we'll see.

ValiumQueen · 23/03/2013 19:50

Tuesdays are good for me so long as my mum can collect sproglet from school. And I can ponce a lift again Grin

Passmethecrisps · 23/03/2013 19:53

Good question. Not heard from either for ages. Either Tuesday or Thursday works for me. P is teething for defo. Actual wee sharp bits of tooth sticking out (sadly all over the place - her parents tooth genes aren't up to much) and her whole gums are white. She definitely perks up after baby bonjela after a bit of face screwing and was a whole load better after a wee calpol. I think her cheeks are red but the dry patches makes it a bit hard to tell!

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 23/03/2013 19:57

limpit thanks. No, not the worst nail cutting experience I've had. Just wish it wouldnt bleed so much. I know what you mean about close friends - am in the same position Sad

YW yes, how nice that there is always a handover option. Who do I get to handover to?

Passmethecrisps · 23/03/2013 19:58

Speaking of pockets. . . P is sporting a tres chic little White Company romper suit courtesy of an adoring aunty. Gorgeous but it has pockets on her arse. WTF will she keep in pockets and why on her arse?
