Surprising how much blood comes out of a tiny little finger isn't it. DH has done that to both our girls. I have never had a end of finger chopping mishap but every time I remind him of that he reminds me of baby dropping incident

Brockle · 23/03/2013 20:01

spare nappy and a couple of dummies pass? Grin

Passmethecrisps · 23/03/2013 20:01

I'm a nae pals as well. Dreading the school hols as all my groups are off fr a fortnight as DH is off to Prague for 5 days. Oh blimey.

Passmethecrisps · 23/03/2013 20:04

You know brockle I tried stuffing a dummy in it but to no avail. Packet of Lambert and Butler?

I chopped the ends of P's fingers off - twice. She barely peeped. I also zippered the palm of her hand. She peeped then. A lot. In sainsbury's.

Evilwater · 23/03/2013 20:12

Madam- I've not shopped in JL since it arrived, apart from the price any good???

Tues euro millions is £94 million. Wouldn't it be nice not to have to worry about money. I've been thinking about how to spend it. I think a nice house near bath, with a indoor swimming pool, plus it would be all mine.

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/03/2013 20:13

pass I feel for you. I had DH away for 5 days, half term and the in laws away too all at the same time. I survived, just! I booked loads in to keep us busy.

I wish I could join you for the next meet. I have friends in Nairn that we visit and hopefully going in July so maybe a could crash a Scottish meet then.

Girls asleep, food ordered and just deciding what film to watch. Happy days.

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/03/2013 20:16

evil I love bath. My mum and dad were born there. One set of grandparents lived there and another set lived in a nr by village called Bradford on Avon. My aunt still loves in bath so try to get there as often as I can. Is a lovely part of the country.

Evilwater · 23/03/2013 20:23

I love it too, the spa is of particular interest of mine. It just has the most relaxed feel about it, wonderful shops too. If only I had money.. Well i can dream.

What are the schools like?

YellowWellies · 23/03/2013 20:26

Well shall we try for when pass DH is away and she's group less and in need of haggis quiche or is that a pisser for you VQ with older kinder (if so pass MM and I regularly meet for a blether in the sunny climes of Fife - you're more than welcome)? If we sort out a time / date on here or FB I might PM the haggis stragglers.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/03/2013 20:27

evil I dream about winning the lottery too. There was a thread on here recently asking if anyone had won and there was one poster who had and her answers to everyone's questions were interesting.

Phillip Schofield is everywhere isn't he? Last time I had UK TV I'm sure he was sat in a broom cupboard with his hand up a puppet's arse.

MsJupiterJones · 23/03/2013 20:30

pass how did you decide whether to give Calpol? L has been a grump all day after his smiley Friday and I think it's teething but I'm not quite sure. Am I overthinking and is it worth a dose just in case he is actually in pain? I guess I'm worried about giving it & then missing something else. He definitely has bumps on his bottom gums, no sharp edges yet but is drooling and chewing for England, anything from his own fist or my finger to books and toys.

Unless, of course, I give him an actual teether, in which case he hits himself in the head with it repeatedly.

Evilwater · 23/03/2013 20:31

How's this for house envy!

I really don't need the 8 bedrooms. But drool.......

YellowWellies · 23/03/2013 20:34

Evil our piddly collection of (ikea, cough, cough) furniture wouldn't even half fill one of those rooms Shock Grin

Lily311 · 23/03/2013 20:36

You lot can talk...

Welcome newbies.

O is in lollipop bamboo for the night but is very bulky, I am tempted to switch to disposables. During the day she is in lollipop pop'n'gro pockets, little blooms or minky ones. I love little blooms. I won an auction for 15 new nappies w boosters on ebay for £21, so finally have enough for 3 days. Saying that I used 15 nappies in 2 days, madness, she keeps pooing Grin.

As for mIL, you really don't want to hear about mine. I am so glad she doesn't speak English...

Evilwater · 23/03/2013 20:38

Yellow- all my furniture is second hand, and it also wouldn't fill a room.

PR- the lady must have had a grand story to tell. I'm sure it was not a happy ever after, but easier to cry in a car than on a bicycle.

Passmethecrisps · 23/03/2013 20:39

Aw ta YW! I think Facecock for arranging and PMing on here for stragglers is best. Messaging on facecock is weird.

Passmethecrisps · 23/03/2013 20:43

jupiter P is exactly the same. Fingers = nomming, muslin = nomming, dummy = nomming teether = confused licking followed by chucking on the floor. TBH we just made a sort of executive decision to give her calpol. She has a cold as well and just seems a bit fed up and under th weather. We figured that one dose won't hurt her. She did seem a bit perkier afterwards.

Limpit80 · 23/03/2013 20:43

Argh! First unsuccessful transfer of the night! We live on a flat, bit dont have a monitor, so I left the door open, but I think OH is playing the spoons in the kitchen or
something Hmm.
VQ and Miss LL I have bumgenius, LL and close pop in. Been using disposablesa night, but always have to change him at least once anyway, so may try with cloth.
Evil you've kicked off some serious lottery daydreaming for me!

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 23/03/2013 20:43

Wow evil. I could be happy in that house. Each person could have their own wing! The JL is ok. Have only really mooched around the baby section. Not huge. Not a lot of products. Am a bit underwhelmed tbh.

Nightmare bedtime. DD being a monkey and then DSD deciding to play up as all the attention on DD. DH losing patience and so getting all three kids to sleep becomes my responsibility. They are now all sleeping but on this sort of night I can guarantee DS will be up so I am off for some zzzzz. Sleepy dust to all!

Passmethecrisps · 23/03/2013 20:44

Almost everything we own is from Ikea. I have a total mental block about where people buy furniture other than there.

Where is dicktective?

PetiteRaleuse · 23/03/2013 20:44

That is a gorgeous house. Bet it is haunted.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 23/03/2013 20:50

Never got on with Sains nappy noodles yw don't know what all the othe home brands are quite good.

Pikz · 23/03/2013 20:52

If we had they house LO would think its heaven as he could go swimming every day

PetiteRaleuse · 23/03/2013 20:52

I drive past this house regularly and have always drooled over it: www.immoregion.fr/lorraine/vente-maison-a-roussy-le-village,thionville-est-en-moselle-2319427

But they'e selling because planning permission has been given to build a whole load of houses across the road, which is currently farmland. No way I'd pay 2 million now. In fact if I had two mill I would leave this area completely andngo somewhere with better weather near the sea and mountains.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 23/03/2013 20:57

Welcome newbies, have now lost count and any hope of keeping up with Fred

Had great day once kicked into touch by Dh and told if i had gone to all the effort to get girls in snow then I should stop cleaning. Basically. He was right. ( had a bit of a stress clean as is possible landlord is coming to check a couple of maintenance things in house when we are in NI) then I felt guilty.

So I took three big kids to soft play cue the most stressful afternoon ever. Age range 2 - 8 all with extra helpings of the bravery gene, the whole of the town in one soft play centre. My heart was in my mouth the whole time. Then off to pizza express for tea bring home a take out pizza for DH

Perfect really we all get a treat and Dh keeps some of his sanity having a quiet afternoon.

Just managed to put girls to sleep using a calming relaxation cd for children and have climbed into bed myself. DH is rummaging in the snacks and treats cupboards the boys are snoring their heads off all is well with the world.

Any suggestions for a relaxing read while I am away? Nothing too heavy.
