Perineal massage counts as foreplay these days :(

LuisGarcia · 23/03/2013 02:33

These are dark times....

TheDetective · 23/03/2013 02:42

Done. Night. Again.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 23/03/2013 03:23

Been up for 1 fecking hour so far with a feed and a lot of time lying on floor beside cot holding his hand. It's cold and I'm tired

WallinoMio · 23/03/2013 04:22

Crap night here too. Again. It was all going so well before this bloody sleep regression/growth spurt/whatever. It can bugger off now. Have been up approx 3428 times no exaggeration oh no since 9. Grrr

PetiteRaleuse · 23/03/2013 06:05

Morning. LO needed a feed at 4 which was lovely as with the meds she also needed a poo. That was all three hours ago and I didn't manage to get back to sleep since. It's now 7 and she's up again, as is DD1.

Who spent the night on a towel.

Yoko I would be really angry. They have tried to take away a precious moment of watching your baby eat his first food. They pight not see it like that, and of course you mustn't let it spoil your experience of weaning, but it is a very knobby thing to do.

fruitpastilles · 23/03/2013 06:33

izzy I was doing the exact same thing at 2am minus the feed! Took S a bloody hour to go back to sleep, had I known I'd have been in her room I'd have took my phone in with me, not only was I cold and tired, I was bored! Could have caught up on here!
She was up again at 4 but only took her 20 mins to go back to sleep and up for the day at 6 then.

yoko I would be so mad if my pil done that!

wallino was it you asking about dribbly babies? S is terribly dribbly, she is fist chewing like mad and has a constant wet patch on her clothes/vest even with the use of dribble bibs, no signs of teething though other than the fist chewing (which she has done since about 8 weeks)

Fucking sleeping through?

Kyzordz · 23/03/2013 06:59

Morning all, sorry to read about all the crap nights :(

yoko i'd be seriously pissed. It might not cause harm but it is your choice when to wean, nobody else's

I think we must've stolen sleepy dust. He didn't peep from 7:40, dream feed at 10, went back at half past. Went sleep myself at 11:30 and next thing you know I check my phone and it's 6:30! Fuck!! Sorry guys! I'll leave the dust alone tonight I am sure

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 23/03/2013 07:04

yoko I'd be fucking fuming. Very disrespectful. No it wont do any damage and dont let it spoil things, but I'd be upset.

izzy that is a very sweet picture. DS likes to hold my hand to get to sleep. However, there's no way I'd lie on the floor in the cold. When he wakes in the night and doesnt settle, I usually bring him in with me so he can hold hands and I can at least lie in my warm bed and snooze until he is asleep again.

I always see detective in a Sherlock Holmes style hat!

pass what a knob. Dont listen. She's probably one of those competitive mums that think baby milestones actually really matter, and this is her qway of dealing with the fact that your baby is doing something hers isnt yet. Stupid caaaaawww

Waves to evil and bigpig and lilliana. Feckin rain. Suspect we will be cooped up in the house today. I dragged DD out for a walk yesterday in the rain and she moaned all the way, because I thought she needed some fresh air. Fuck that today! If there is a gap in this never ending rain we will probably dash to the park but otherwise a PJ day and lots of tv

glendatheveryexcitedwitch · 23/03/2013 07:14

Morning

Welcome lurkers!!!

I made it through my first week - yay!!! Not without some stresses which the mahoosive cold sore on my top lip shows but all sorted now

Dottie has a stinking bubble blowing snot exploding cold and cough - which explains the crap feeding mon -weds - she's still smiling bless her just hates having her nose wiped - have been using the softest bibs - what does everyone else use?? And I've been putting a layer of Vaseline on her nose/top lip to stop it getting sore. We use baby olbas which helps as does bfing - any other ideas to get rid asap and keep her happy??

Friggin snow - fuck the fuck off - am so tired if the friggin cold now!!!

Hope everyone is well and babies behaving? I only have chance to catch up on last couple of pages!!

PurplePidjin · 23/03/2013 07:16

Yoko, I'd make sure they knew they would never be trusted alone with your dc (now and future) again, at least without some serious work to regain your trust Angry

R went 8-5 with one wake up. Unfortunately i fucked up the transfer so it was a 1 1/2 hour long feed Hmm

As i now have a monitor I'm thinking of moving him into the laundry and storage room nursery. Thoughts please?

Kyzordz · 23/03/2013 07:30

glenda have you tried saline drops? I have found these followed by the nasal aspirator bogey sucker thing minutes later very effective

Can't see why not pp :)

Lily311 · 23/03/2013 08:11

glenda I use baby vac which you attach to the hoover. It sucks the snot out, sounds cruel but it is very gentle and effective. O has been snotty for 4 days now and this is the only thing which helps. I also put saline drops in, leave it for a min than use baby vac.

Good night here, she was up once. Staying indoors today, it's miserable out there.

Kyzordz · 23/03/2013 08:22

Fucksticks, the first aid course we were going on today has been cancelled cos of the snow. Is being rearranged but don't know when for. Ballsocks

Pikz · 23/03/2013 08:31
MissMummy1 · 23/03/2013 08:35

yoko I would be furious.

My MIL has convinced manchild that I am doing it all wrong still bfing and if we arent going to switch to formula she should at least be getting baby rice. This will make her sleep, you see. She is 15 weeks old.... Manchild of course now agrees with his god awful mother and is being less than supportive of my decision to ebf for 6 months. (5 if she shows lots and lots of signs of being ready)

I am still very angry with him. This morning I am going to the bank to ensure any money I have is separate and then try and sort out getting my own car. I'll try not to bring the thread down again with my whiney ranting. Blush

Kyzordz · 23/03/2013 08:44

Don't be silly mm rant away. Fuck the pair of them and do what is best for you and Tilly

PetiteRaleuse · 23/03/2013 08:58

mm look after yourself. Protect you and yours and fuck the manchild and his mum. Guidelines have changed, if they can't understand that then you'll be fighting a losing battle. In a few months they'll be wondering why you aren't potty training Hmm

kirrinIsland · 23/03/2013 08:59

yuko I'd be livid

mm rant away.

glad it's going well glenda

YokoUhOh · 23/03/2013 09:00

mm it's ridiculous, isn't it? Your LO has reached their current weight by EBF, how's some baby rice suddenly going to make them grow like a beanstalk? Some people are just out to undermine us Hmm Give the Manchild se baby rice, see how he likes it!

YokoUhOh · 23/03/2013 09:01

Thanks everyone, you are lovely Thanks

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 23/03/2013 09:07

mm very sensible plan. If you dont have your own bank account you should open one. And as for your MIL, ignore her.
