Any remaining lurkers, would you like to de-lurk and announce yourselves? We won't bite!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MsJupiterJones · 22/03/2013 22:51

I had to post that quickly as phone out of battery, just to say that's an imaginary routine! Sort of based on the best timings we have had put together. But I'm not sure that day has ever existed in reality! He does usually have one really long nap though as long as he is taken for a walk to set him off. It's just annoying if that happens really early or late through circumstance.

I woke him up once as I was embarrassed at having no baby to play with at Playgroup. Never again. Far more embarrassing to have a screaming baby at Playgroup.

Toomany I met the Snugglebundl guy at the Baby Show. I wasn't convinced though, you'd have to make sure the baby was in the thing at the right times to start with. And he was a bit odd.

Fatima actually I imagine you as a young Turkish girl with a basket of bread. Grin

Det, Pass etc L has just started 'standing' - we know another baby though who has been determined to stand since birth and is always rigidly straight. I think babies just like doing different stuff and as long as they are having the opportunity to reach milestones they will do so in their own time.

TheDetective · 22/03/2013 22:53

Which detective do you think I am? Grin

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 22/03/2013 23:03

We have a snuggle bundle. Never used the damn thing!

I'm up in bed as is J. He took a piddly feed so will be up soon no doubt. I'm starting to get upset at lack of sleep I and he are having but really have no clue how to fix this! We go on holiday in six weeks and if he isn't any better its going to be a nightmare :(

Kyzordz · 22/03/2013 23:12

E has been chewing for ages, drooling everywhere. He gets granules or gel if it's narking him. Think it's been for a good month or so now! He also loves to stand! Really loves it!

Oh mm1 thanks for the recommendation of the spin n what'sit tummy thing. Astonished at 10 mins on it earlier! With an actual smile too, omg!!

kissy glad your day was better, adult company is good most of the time! dp isn't a bad one, definitely not today anyway lol! No, he's good really, even if sometimes things need spelling out to him, he does get there in the end.

Hope sleep is had quiche-wide! Night all, will post if up, don't usually but will try to if I'm awake enough.

FatimaLovesBread · 22/03/2013 23:18

I think Detective is Hercule Poirot Wink Or you could be

FatimaLovesBread · 22/03/2013 23:19

Sorry hit post too soon, was trying and failing to think of someone else

TheDetective · 22/03/2013 23:24

Stiffles giggles Grin

YokoUhOh · 22/03/2013 23:24

A bit of an AIBU conundrum for you guys tonight...

...PIL are staying and they gave F a bit of banana behind my back earlier today. Clearly this won't do him any harm, but they know I'm waiting to do BLW at 6 months. They just did it so they can joke about it with him when he's older, MIL has been banging on about giving him food since he was born (he's EBF).

Am I being precious, or is this just really disrespectful?

TheDetective · 22/03/2013 23:25

Totally, totally out of order.

I would lose the plot.

TheDetective · 22/03/2013 23:25

It is beyond disrespectful.

TheDetective · 22/03/2013 23:26

PIL would be no longer staying if they did this to me.

YokoUhOh · 22/03/2013 23:29

Thanks Det I was really looking forward to doing his first tastes of food in a month or so. I won't let this spoil it.

Passmethecrisps · 22/03/2013 23:39

Noone other than mummy and daddy should be deciding when first tastes are. I think that is really rude

YokoUhOh · 22/03/2013 23:46

Thanks pass...I vented my spleen at DH. He has a rather old fashioned relationship with them they're extremely fogeyish and is not looking forward to having words tomorrow.

Fatima just realised I didn't say hi! Are you still in Ox?

LuisGarcia · 22/03/2013 23:47

Hi all,

mm Your manchild is a dick. Sorry.

thedetective you iron babygrows?? Holy moly you're good.

Passmethecrisps please tell the idiot moose to come and show us how to get L to sit down. She will not have it, she's a stander for sure.

Yokouhoh I would have words.

Everyone else Give yourselves a pat on the back. Literally, in a Trevor and Simon way.

MrsG is not going to delurk, I'm afraid. I tried. She did appreciate the thought though.

YokoUhOh · 22/03/2013 23:52

Luis shall we indulge in a bit of pants-swinging, too? [older than the hills emoticon]

LuisGarcia · 22/03/2013 23:55

The world would be a better place with more pants swinging

Passmethecrisps · 23/03/2013 00:01

Cripes! That's a blast from the past!

Night night.

Limpit80 · 23/03/2013 00:16

Hi all. Another part time lurker here! Have been meaning to post for ages, but can never keep up! I did post on one of the antenatal threads ages ago. My ds is 19 weeks on Sun. He's ebf and laughs in the face of routine Hmm. He has been sleeping in a baby bay on the side of the bed up until now and we are currently attempting to get him to sleep in the cot.So far he's done about 40mins tonight. Confused. Im now sitting up in bed with a sleeping baby on my chest. About to attempt transfer.

LuisGarcia · 23/03/2013 00:26

Oh yeah, I meant to add. L naps for 30 minutes after every 90 minutes awake. All day. Usually in my arms, less usually in MrsGs lap. You could set your watch by her. On a good night, she sleeps in her cot from 8pm til 3am, feeds for an hour, then sleeps til 7.

On a bad night I post nonsense about pringles.

Most nights are somewhere between those two.

We are going to start training her to nap in the cot next week.

This is as different from our experience with J as you could possibly imagine.

FatimaLovesBread · 23/03/2013 01:09

Welcome limpit Good luck with the cot transfer

Haha detective I was thinking more for the awesome moustache Grin

Sadly no yoko A friend still lives on Divinity Road but I'm back oop north in West Yorks. I'll give you a shout if we come down to visit in the summer though.

Right, Ms getting too big for her basket, what next? I don't really want her on her own yet but the cot is a pain in the arse to put down and back up to move to our room. Should I move in to her room? and away from DHs awful snoring I'm lazy and love not needing to get out of bed when she wakes

LuisGarcia · 23/03/2013 01:40

Should I move in to her room? and away from DHs awful snoring I'm lazy and love not needing to get out of bed when she wakes

The downside is?

ValiumQueen · 23/03/2013 02:16

Second waking of night. Up at 12 then 2. Fuckballs. Sooo tired.

kirrinIsland · 23/03/2013 02:25

Welcome mio and limpit :)

so sorry about your fil mio Thanks

mm your DP does not sound like he is treating you well at all. :(

pikz hope he is feeling better soon.

VQ hope he throws in a mammoth sleep now

That's as much as my little brain can cope with right now - its taken me over 2 hours to catch up and now I've forgotten half of what I wanted to say.

N has just slept 2.5 hours, which is a definite improvement on yesterday. Crap feed though so I expect we'll be up again before too long.

TheDetective · 23/03/2013 02:26

Ok. Be grateful. Can't have everything... Think O must have been crying for a bit. He was very angry when I got to him. Furious. Oooops.

He went to sleep before his bedtime meds...

7.30 fed. So 7 hours? That's great. But still. Did not want to see the arse end of the night.
