VQ DD1's lungs are clear as a bell but she's still coughing since her bronchiolitis/pneumonia. The only thing which helps is a humidifier in the bedroom on lowest setting.

PetiteRaleuse · 21/03/2013 21:22

eliza no cadburys in France. Tis tragic.

PetiteRaleuse · 21/03/2013 21:22

Apart from
Chocolate finger biscuits and choc chip cookies

Bryzoan · 21/03/2013 21:23

Selective infective invective corrective collective reflective superlative detective

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/03/2013 21:53

detective I can just picture you doing that. My DH has been swearing all through the programme.

bplp I fancied a water birth too. Not a home one though. Instead I got a home birth and not a water one. Haha, that made me giggle. Some women turn into monsters during labor, and quite rightly so!

This thread title is all about Easter and we didn't make it anywhere nr Easter!

ValiumQueen · 21/03/2013 22:00

stunt that is a really good idea giving bunny to your LO at night. Make sure you get a couple of spare ones or he may ever sleep again if he loses it in the future.

No sign of pass today? Hope you are ok x

MsJupiterJones · 21/03/2013 22:05

I need a new bedtime routine. And a daytime one. Then he will sleep better. DH is off for two weeks so we are going to work on it.

Thank you Stunt I wondered if that was the case, although interested the letter said 'no sensitivity'. Anyway the formula works so there must be something going on. To anyone else changing (ie VQ), it took a few days for the tummy to settle but the claggy mucosity went v quick.

I will bid the quiche goodnight. Love yas.

Kyzordz · 21/03/2013 22:07

I thought this Fred was quite short! We outdo ourselves mythinks! I have been reading just not getting chance to post.

Mini zordz decided he'd Feck about with his bottles today, again. Still dunno why he does it sometimes! He'll drain 8oz for ages, then struggle with 5 as in pissflapping all over the shop like an electrocuted turkey for a few days, then go back to the odd 8oz with some pissflapping turkey moves and 5oz for good measure and then back to draining again. I prefer draining, is easier to deal with. Thing is, is I thought ok, maybe not so hungry. But then he wants the next one earlier and then earlier again etc and whilst I don't mind the odd time I am Not going back to feeding any more frequently than 3 hourly. Nope. So I try to get him to take a decent amount without stress, but get the odd day like today whereby every feed is a pissflapping turkey feed. Except this next feed I fucking hope as it is a dreamy one.

I still think each one should have some kind of sodding instructions!!

Going to feed the turkey.

Nothing at all compared to what many of you deal with, I do count my blessings I promise :) hope good nights are had all round!

DP is doing the bedtime tonight as O woke back up at 9.30. Assume for feed. So he took him upstairs. It is the second time he has ever done the bedtime routine. It did not go well last time.

Fingers crossed.

I am watching TV! Shock

I am going to bed as soon as O is in that cot! Whether he is asleep or not!

BigPigLittlePig · 21/03/2013 22:09

Luckily for dh I wasn't too monsterish. What I did not find amusing, however, was him giggling like a school boy about a knitted boob which was in the room. And pretending to wear said boob. I believe my exact words were "get out. Just go away. Go and sit in the corner" shortly followed by "come here" Confused Poor dh!

3 days. Tis a record.
stunt have also tucked LO in with her bunny tonight - although since I put it next to her when she was already asleep suspect will have to wait til tomorrow to create a sleep association!

See you in the morning on the shiny new fred which will be used and tarnished by then no doubt

I really am going to bed now.

ValiumQueen · 21/03/2013 22:09

I am off to bed too.

I have a pyramid shaped tent and have been known to do back garden Glamping.

Off to dream of Dexter Morgan. Nom Nom!

horseylady · 21/03/2013 22:14

Sorry only read up to page 33 but wanted to respond to vq

Here we have excess saliva and mucus. Has done since birth. He CHOKES 5x a day at least. It's not as scary now he had the gaviscon but he coughs a lot. Hes constantly wheezing. He has eczema. He is not pain he's not losing weight. He does therefore not have cmpi though I did question it with some of the symptoms. The mucus is put down to broncalitis, constant colds and his birth. He'll grow out if it. The saliva is linked to the mucus and now teething. Randomly feeding more frequently exaggerated the issue so he started going longer and eating more.

Not got time to read the rest but hugs if you need them x

PetiteRaleuse · 21/03/2013 22:17

Excellent end ro the series but next season has to be the last I don't see where they can go from here. Night all.

TheDetective · 21/03/2013 22:18

Can babies have CMPI and not reflux? I am just wondering, because everyone is surprised when I say O does not vomit at night. He is better flat. The minute you touch his abdomen in any upright position, he pukes.

Oh I don't know. Not sure I even care! I just don't understand why I have an opposite baby. Okay, I'm worrying it is something else that is being missed in a guise of reflux!

misslaughalot · 21/03/2013 22:19

OMG. I am simultaneously gutted and delighted. Gave babylaughalot a dummy tonight for the first time. Took her about 15 minutes to learn what to do with it then she SETTLED HERSELF TO SLEEP! First. Time. Ever.

Wishing all the quiche a restful night, I'm of to catch some zzzzzzzzzzs. Will catch up with the fred tomorrow x

StuntNun · 21/03/2013 22:28

Yes Detective they're completely different conditions but commonly occur together.

Bodes well for the future MissLaugh!

VQ DS2 has three Pigleys. There was a mixup and he found out about one of the spare Pigleys. So now he needs both Pigleys at bedtime... But we still have one spare! I purposefully bought a bunny that I would be able to get spares if he gets very attached to it, it's this one

Contradictionincarnate · 21/03/2013 22:41

sorry to hear of every ones problems ... dh spoke to a mate today who says everything got better after 6 months that is my new goal because the whole everything gets better at 12 weeks thing is a crock
boobed dd twice she was fast asleep after first boob but then I realised I had to put her in sleeping bag!
second time dh ended up playing an advert very loudly on iPad by mistake ...have put her down to self settle with her turtle whooshing sounds of the see...
guess that just means I will be picking her back up soon but as I'm in a better mood I feel more confident to give things a go.
enjoyed my hour plus of shopping today and sharing a bottle of wine and natter with a friend lovely!
I am a size 16 jeans in h and m and they were soo tight) I used to be a size 8 there! (many moons ago granted). tried on a lot of funky clothes that kids 10 years younger than me would wear!

Kyzordz · 21/03/2013 23:02

horsey how On earth do you deal with the choking? I am über paranoid about choking won't go up to size 3 teats even because he struggles and chokes I guess it gets 'easier' to deal with? I hate it when e does it, last time he did was when I last tried size 3's and it scares the fuck out of me. You are very much braver than I am, I would be a quibbling mess dealing with that, e is lucky to have such a calm and collected mummy!

misslaugh that's good stuff! Hopefully she'll settle easier in future now :)

det I think of the stuff you're dealing with with o when I fret ds has 'only' had 30oz or when I am frustrated he won't feed properly. Poor o and poor you, I keep hoping he is magically fixed bless him! Maybe this new formula will be the answer (everything crossed!)

contra glad you enjoyed your shopping :)

Hope you get some sleep stunt

Hope j is ok tonight vq

Forget who else, always have so much to say and can't remember it. Hope good nights are had all round, anyway! Night all
