keep repeating the mantra...

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
PurplePidjin · 23/03/2013 18:58

Last night was 1 wake at 1:30, then 2:30-5. Normally it's two at 1 + 3:30 ish, but the 2nd seems more like he's disturbed iyswim then needs boob to settle.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/03/2013 18:59

We're lucky that we can fit the cot bed in our room ds will be in until he sleeps through.

Thanks for reassurances that dp is in fact being a nob. He makes me feel like I'm actually a horrible nag Hmm

WillYouDoTheBunnyHop · 23/03/2013 18:59

I'm only in Marus Bridge ISpy, my DP is from Ashton.

MaMaPo · 23/03/2013 19:02

If I have been fucking up her dream feed all this time I'll be pretty annoyed with myself.

What's with all the twatty partners at the moment? Something in the air? Wine for everyone.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/03/2013 19:17

I dream feed at ten because I can't stay up any later Grin

Dp is doing the 2am ish feed tonight what's the betting ds either a) sleeps until 4/5 or b) won't take the bottle as it's been so long so we have to throw the milk away and I end up feeding him anyway Hmm oh and dp will definitely make a song and dance of it waking me up Grin he's working tomorrow anyway....

MyDaydream · 23/03/2013 20:09

If I feed DS later than 11 he takes ages to settle to sleep and will fuss and cry. He usually has formula between 9 and 10 then we go to bed for a cuddle and if he wants it boob. He'll then sleep through until 6 or 7 when he feeds, and if I'm really lucky will go back to sleep until 10. Then he wakes up and fusses and cries all day until DP gets home when he's a delight and makes it seem like I make a fuss over nothing!

WLmum · 23/03/2013 20:30

Lots to catch up on, and lots making me smile - ice cream gate! In this house, the treat rule is you snooze you lose - which basically means I scoff everything!!
Loving the pretending to wee - unfortunately I have older ones who just come and find me - same goes for DH who used to slack off quite a lot like stacks dp? To be fair he's much better now but does still hide in the loo having a poo (actually playing games on his phone). As above, makes no diff to dds if I'm having a poo, they still come in and hassle me/sit on my lap/point out that I have a funny foof - it wasn't funny til you came out if it!
A row we've had quite a bit is that his job can be unpredictable so he can never be relied on to do any pick ups, therefore I always have to make sure I leave work on time no matter how inconvenient - I say he has the luxury of being able to finish a piece of work, he says working late is not a luxury! Cross purposes!
Attempt no 2 at pie for dinner - DH scoffed the chicken one when he got in at 1.30 this morning - he was tiddly, annoying and snorey so kicked him out of bed - he chose to sleep in 'spare' bed which is actually dds old cabin bed - not sure they're built for 15 stone!

WLmum · 23/03/2013 20:30

15 stone inebriated men that is!

WillYouDoTheBunnyHop · 23/03/2013 21:30

I may be the most annoying person alive! I've lost all internal monologue, we're watching MIB3 and I keep gasping and commenting all the way through. I know I'm doing it but can't stop. DP may kill me soon Grin

Stacks · 23/03/2013 21:37

I just fed DS to sleep, waited till he was deep asleep, then tried to stand up from the bed to put him in his crib... and face planted onto the bed. Luckily didn't fall onto DS, but ended up with him on the bed and my weight through my elbows over/under him. He sort of woke up, snuggled in then went back to sleep! and woke ip 5 mins later, coincidence?

SpottyTeacakes · 23/03/2013 22:06

Hmm just realised dp doing a feed is actually going to be a pita as he's going to have to go and warm the bottle up...

WLmum · 23/03/2013 22:16

Came in the room after emptying dd2s potty earlier to find dd3 sucking dd1s thumb! 'But she likes it!' Yes but please don't!

Also got proper pissed on - dd had been having a bare bum kick around and got fed up so I picked her up - before I could even say nappy she peed on my jeans through to my knickers and jumper through my t shirt and vest! The only thing she didn't get was my socks!

Love it willyou

stacks I've done similar - scary ain't it

PurplePidjin · 23/03/2013 22:32

First wake up already. Normally I'd get 4-5 hours...

SpottyTeacakes · 23/03/2013 23:53

Ds's awake already less than two hours since dream feed.....

FriendofDorothy · 24/03/2013 00:09

Is anyone thinking about trying for another baby sooner rather than later?

WLmum · 24/03/2013 00:17

Not happy, we def seem to be going backwards with night feeds.

No more babies here fod! We did try asap after dd1 and 'didn't not try' after dd2 - got pg but mcd both times :-( then took ages to get pg again both times. I would have liked a small age gap but we got 3 years and 2.7 years.

MyDaydream · 24/03/2013 00:28

Friend, I keep saying 3-5 years until the next one, I'm an only child and really want DS to have siblings but am quite happy for there to be a gap.

WLmum · 24/03/2013 01:29

Why won't she go back to sleep? An hour and a half we've been up now and I have seriously had enough.

IsThatTrue · 24/03/2013 01:50

2 Nd night waking.

Well from being absolutely no more I'm now thinking is like another but I wouldn't try until ds2 is 5. I couldn't work and cope with 2 babies/ toddlers and I personally enjoy him more than I did dd or ds1 and I think the large gap is part of this. It helps that in 5 years I will still only be 30. But it app depends how we are doing financially at that point too.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/03/2013 02:57

So ds drank 1oz of my expressed milk. I don't know why dp even got him up he wasn't hungry he was just sucking his fingers. I'm really pissed off. Such a waste Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 24/03/2013 03:13

Argh now I've leaked milk all over my bed and arm! It's very sticky Hmm

utopian99 · 24/03/2013 05:10

Oh dearspotty, milk leakage not good. I snuggled up to dh after some (ahem) sexy times after forgetting to put my bra back on and we both ended up in a huge milky wet patch. SO pleasant!!

fod this is dc1 for us and hoping for a small age gap so all things being well we're planning to start trying again in 3 months. (12 weeks now)
Having said which we're still a long way from clinching the sleep thing. Arfg. Had about 5 days now of happily settled sleeping on front and tonight he wakes up snuffling after being put down on front OR back. I know it's not the case but in my sleep addled state it honestly feels like he's doing it on purpose to come back into bed with us.
Any thoughts? Apart from sleep training?

PurplePidjin · 24/03/2013 05:41

Down at 8. Woke 9:50-10:20, 2:20-2:50, 4:50 to now. Results inconclusive

IsThatTrue · 24/03/2013 06:02

Of I didn't know better I would swear this boy could tell the time. Every 2 hrs on the dot all night!

PurplePidjin · 24/03/2013 06:50

Add 5:45-6:45 which is unheard of normally! I honestly thought i was up for the day at 4:50!! If he repeats tonight, I'll keep him there - dream feed at 10 means we can have an evening Shock

IsThat they can. Our 4 month sleep regression began on the stroke of midnight 19/3 (R was early on 19/11) luckily was only one horrendous night although things have been shifting around since then :)
