Good luck with your hair appt Ispy I'm sure it'll be fibe.

And good luck at the smear WL.

I've got a very tired baby today, I forced him he fell back to sleep at 6 until 8:45. He's now asleep again. I was going to take him to baby sensory but he's snoring away again and we have to leave early for the Virgin repair man so I'm going to skip it. There's also still snow on the pavements and that awful biting wind so I'm not devestated.

Sorry, lurking a lot lately.
isthat sorry, late to this but you XH is being an utter wanker. Is there any way of limiting his contact a bit more while he's being such an idiot?

seconds yay, well done Z

ispy good luck!

spotty very jealous of your sleep but I think you deserved it after the first few months!

Sorry for anyone I've missed. Anyone who's on dc2 or more- did anyone manage to get pregnant while still BF? We weren't planning on starting trying again till the end of the year but we've decided to not not try and see what happens. Sensible thing would be to wait but both of us would be happy if it happened sooner - I especially want a small age gap between these 2. So, chances of getting preg while still EBF? Although we will be starting blw next month (going for 6 calendar months rather than weeks as he's almost 22 weeks but is 5 calendar months today)

Ooo weaning honey! How exciting Smile it's 26 weeks ish isn't it? I didn't bf dd so can't help I'm afraid.

WL good luck with that Grin I'm also the mum who brings her brood to these appointments. Dd was with me when I got my coil fitted the nurses loved it!

IsThat it must be so hard for you not to turn around and say to your dc 'your dads a twat' they will definitely find out for themselves though and they probably won't want to keep going there. I'm assuming your new dh (dp?) is much more involved in their lives anyway.

Ds has his 3/4 month check this afternoon. I've had to give him calpol this morning as he was crying with each cough poor thing.

I hope I haven't repeated anything I keep forgetting what I've said and what I haven't Confused

Ha Seconds my DP lives with his dad while i care for and live my dad. And also we have the added complication that we only actually met in February last year and i had my last period on 19th feb, found out i was pregnant on 22nd of March. I promise i'm not a slag and although i'm 28 and should of known better H was a massive accident. (One i'm glad of now although at the time i thought my life was over) He stuck by me as he told me he had fell for me and its worked out. But we're still very much getting to know each other. He stuck by me through a awful pregnancy where i spent more time in the toilet than with him. TMI i know but he is a good bloke even though he can be hugely selfish about sleep ha. Wow congratulations on Z rolling.

Good luck with your Smear WL.

Someone has swapped my baby. After 8.5h last night and 2.5h this morning, he's just had another 1.5h nap! Growth spurt?

Bless you hales! Sounds like you're doing a great job in difficult circumstances. DH and I have been together for 16 years and he can still not get it!

WillYouDoTheBunnyHop · 25/03/2013 12:12

Course you can Honey. I did mention he's teething didn't I? Rosy red cheek and everything. Could that be what's up with Dash? If not he's probably overtired. Time for the walk and rock. We should all be skinny minnies the amount of pacing we end up doing if I laid off the malteser bunnies I might have a chance

Poor you Clarella all I can do is refer you to the thread title above and suggest you invest in some bunnies. I would honestly live on them alone if they made them all year round!

Honey, R screeches, drools, chews and grabs for his ears but no red cheeks. If i peel his top lip back i can see teeth but they're not at gum level yet iyswim. Calgel rubbed on sorts him right out, so i guess they can give gyp even when not erupting. I know my wisdom teeth do!

Mmm, Malteser bunnies. I might have to go look in the shops for some :) DH kind of slacked all weekend, so we didn't go shopping or meal plan or anything. I'll have to catch up in the week. I think tiredness is making me short tempered with him, though not unreasonably so. I agreed he could go out yesterday 1-6pm, he was out 12-8pm, missing the whole day with T who goes to bed at 8. As he's so hard to put down I end up in the room with him till about 9:30, then go to bed at 10. So DH got the whole day yesterday to do whatever he wanted, 'stole' my evening from me, then had the night off too. He didn't do any if the chores either.
I'm a bit less tired today after a better night, waking at 11, 2, 4 and 6. I felt weirdly refreshed with so much sleep compared to the two previous nights. We both have a snotty nose this morning though :(

IsThat, your XH sounds like a dick. Does he enjoy spending time with your DCs or is he doing it because he thinks he should? If he's just parking them in front of a film then I wonder. It's weird to say, but I do hope your DCs start to refuse to go round there.

Honey, hope D cheers up soon. T has been horribly grumpy today, but luckily he doesn't really cry with it, just shouts indignantly when I try to do anything or nothing. The last few days he's taken a real interest in the cats which has been great. He'll sit in my arms watching them do nothing I might Sellotape them to the floor so they stay in sight longer.

Well ds has dropped a few lines and only put on 6oz in three weeks but HV isn't worried and nor am I Smile he did have a massive poosplosion before we came and is now having a mammoth feeding session so I reckon if I went and weighed him again he would be a bit more!

Clarella · 25/03/2013 14:36

I'd be a bit put out about that stacks. Biscuit

about to go for tongue tie snip. sooo anxious. not sure I should feed him now, think they like em hungry - they'll not like him hungry tho!

I'm sure he's fine spotty - prob due a huge growth spurt?

Report
WillYouDoTheBunnyHop · 25/03/2013 14:44

Good luck Clarella, I was really anxious too Sad. I left J and fed him after as it calmed him down too.

He's asleep again! I'm hoping he'll have piled weight on when I take him to weigh in tomorrow. I do at least know why he'd not gained weight last time; when I've closely monitored what he's eating, I found that he's leaving a lot more in the bottle than I thought. This means that while I'm giving him 30-36oz a day, some days he only eats 24oz, not enough for his size. But he's a monkey and either spits it out or just pushes the bottle out of his mouth when he's full so short of buying a funnel there's not a lot to be done.

Hope everything went well Clarella.

Honey - I was also bf until about 3 months pg. No issues conceiving (conceived in second month of trying) but DS1 was two, so having far less milk than at this stage. Must be possible though or they wouldn't be so insistant on advising that bf is not a form of contraception.

Hairdressers was fine - cut and colour finished without incident, and it was really lovely to have a coffee and read a magazine in peace. They came back just as she was drying though as N needed a feed but it really wasn't an issue at all.

Thanks everyone for reassuring me ianbu about XH and he is actually an arse! There are many many more instances (KFC twice in one weekend anyone Hmm) but I won't bore you all with his uselessness anymore. Yes spotty it's especially hard when they go on about him like he's a saint! I think he does want to see them but he doesn't really look at things from their point of view iykwim.

I'm trying to decide if I should keep all if ds2s stuff in case we do have another baby although it won't be for 5 yrs at least so it may be best not to have to store it all and just buying again.
