Just need a good swear - fucking hell, after perfect textbook bedtime C woke up yelling 45 mins later as the zip on her zippy swaddle fuckin broke open. Cue shit night's sleep methinks - I have another swaddle but its lighter (0 tog)'and much stretchier. Pissed off that product I bought a month ago is already fucked. Already wrote stern email to shop and will insist they overnight another one to me or refund the whole amount incl postage - something which messes up her sleep is a big deal!

AIBU? Grin

YANBU mamapo, could you write a letter for me for the school cardigan that dd wore once and the seam down the whole arm unravelled? I really need a kick up the arse or I will never do it Blush

honey a friend fell pregnant when lo was 6 mo without trying.... !

Excellent news Clarella Smile hope it keeps improving.

Mamapo poor you Sad hope you get your replacement! Ds went down an hour ago first time. I've heard him stir twice but he must have settled himself.

Oh Clarella I had meant to wih you luck! Excellent to hear everything went ok. Hurrah for improved latch.

Happy to write stern emails to whoever needs them.

:) for self-settling, spotty!

Oh that reminds me, must send e mail to leisure centre - the only changing facilities are in the ladies loo - dh had to change T on the floor of the disabled loo - not the end of the world but not great for either of them and equal ops?

Ispy fab that hair apt went well, so glad you enjoyed a few minutes off mummy duties

Clarella* I know it's horrid, I cried when T had hers done but if it were me having problems eating, I'd do it! Really hope he improves enough for you to leave the bed!

Willyou that must be a worry but I guess he is just taking what he needs. As you say, there's nothing more you can do than keep offering him. Perhaps he just has a small appetite or tummy right now, but he's otherwise happy and settled so sounds ok to me. Same goes for baby honey*. When dd1 was not putting on weight as she wasn't getting enough it was very obvious - constantly crying never sleeping baby!

I've not used the sling much over the last week or so, had her in it for a nap at tea time and it was so lovely! Note to self - use sling more before she's gets even heavier!

WL our local cinema has no baby change facilities Shock I had to change a poosplosion on the 3inches spare next to the sinks Hmm I was not impressed. Although people seemed very impressed at my ingenuity! Lol

Glad everything's ok Clarella and yay for improved latch.

That would really annoy me too Mama. Hope they sort you a replacement pronto but will keep FX for you that C isn't too unsettled in the meantime.

WL - it's so frustrating that there's still so many places without unisex babychange facilities. It's not exactly a recent phenomenon for dads to change nappies! Good luck with your complaint.

Isthat - I've got a similar dilema about outgrown baby stuff. We probably won't need it again but just seems a bit final getting rid of anything. Mind you, I should be a bit ruthless as I don't think some things would withstand use by a third baby. The maternity jeans certainally won't take another stretching Grin.

Shock isthat! sorry missed what your xdh up to.

not aibu mama - maybe you'll get a freebie?!

thanks - think it's the lack of any anesthetic that made me worry!

soo tired, really want a good night tonight....

Already got a response from the company I bought the swaddle from - they're going to get their supplier to send one out ASAP - and will refund the postage I have to spend to send the broken one back. Pretty good service so far.

Thanks WL, he's a very alert happy baby who sleeps through the night. Before he had his tt cut he was getting so little he was crying for food every 1h 30m and feeding for 1h 15m nearly fucking lost my mind. That's why I was shocked when they said he'd not gained as I hadn't noticed a problem these last few weeks. We'll see tomorrow anyway.

IsThat and WL, that's not as bad as our antenatal unit having no baby change facilities AT ALL Shock. When I went for my 6 week diabetes appt I changed him on a chair in the waiting room while giving the receptionist a hard stare in case she was planning on saying anything. I know it's for pregnant ladies not mums but I at least expected a bloody changing table/large sink/something! Instead there was one toilet so small you couldn't get the baby stretched out on the floor and get down next to him.

Clarella I took my mum and she buried her head in her hands when J had his done! She was terrified Grin. My stomach churned the entire time but it was so worth it.

Ooh I'm keeping everything for now. I always expected to have girls (no idea why) but now I'm secretly hoping for another boy so I get to use all my favourite gros again. We got so many 0-3 that they're barely worn. I had to bin all of the newborn ones though (apart from 2 faves in memory box) as we only had 7 and he was in them for 7 weeks. They were definitely worse for wear.

willyou that's terrible. In those situations I always kind of want someone to say something so I can read the riot act argumentative cow

My mum drove me to Ts tt apt as it was only a couple of weeks after my cs - she cried too and virtually sat on my lap when I bf'd her better! Bless her!

Ha my mum is the softest nan in the world. She always claims I didn't sleep for 4 years but she wouldn't even let me put J in bed in my room when she babysat as she said he'd be lonely! No wonder I didn't sleep if she kept me downstairs all the time!

C awake again. Fucking swaddle. She bloody slept through 2 nights ago, and has been awake twice since 7. I foresee a loooong night.

In the absence of swaddle, some ideas for everyone:
www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=UJPJrBd4TdU (7 ways to get baby to sleep). Unbelievable, some of them! I love the smartphone one, and the staring contest.

Hilarious! Def going to try the staring contest ! Striking down her eyes used to work but now just irritates her. She does like a bum pat though

This is bloody ridiculous - we've gone from first waking at 3ish to before midnight! It's got earlier every night this last week. Everyone else seems to be getting better while we're getting worse!

honey a v good friend of mine got pregnant while ebf, her pfb was about 4 months old at the time. Obv not having AF and not meaning to TTC, the first she knew about it was when she felt the baby move!! Grin

clarella great news about the TT success!

Ha wl that made me giggle, did you mean stroking!?

Sleep has been much worse here for a week and a half now. Last 2 nights have been really bad. DS has 4 month jabs yesterday and was very ratty and hot, the night before he was just awake cooing, like he'd forgotten what he's supposed to do at night. Hmm

The HV suggested starting solids at 16 weeks because he's so big. The GP said to give it a few weeks but do it soon because he's so large I'll be feeding round the clock if he gets much bigger. Anyhoo, I popped a bit of baby rice on his tongue earlier, he looked confused and it dribbled out. Think I'll come back to that in a month or so. He's my last baby, I'm no rush to wean!
