kissyfur · 07/03/2013 02:56

Think we are definitely hitting 4 month sleep regression stage here Sad tired.com

kissyfur · 07/03/2013 02:59

Oh and sorry to hear you have to go to another hospital Eliza, sounds like they are trying everything to help E tho

Lilliana · 07/03/2013 03:03

sweet ((((huge)))) sorry x post. Don't leave it if you feel that blackness, even if it feels better in the morning. I suffered depression for years without doing anything. I was a complete mess by the time i got help.

The tiredness is a killer, is there any way you can get a break?

We're here, make sure you talk about it xxx

Lilliana · 07/03/2013 03:05

I am not calling you huge Blush HUGS!!! Bloody phone i give up

ValiumQueen · 07/03/2013 03:13

eliza the other hospital, although annoying, may help find out something important.

sweetpea big hugs. Hope you get some sleep. If your world is going black again do talk to someone. Mine has gone pretty dark due to lack of sleep, and I am being very careful to monitor my mood, but I am having good days too. Do take care x

glendathefedupwitch · 07/03/2013 03:13

3am??? Wtaf???? Get thee behind us sleep regression!!!! So warm had to check heating wasn't on!!!

Welcome wallino!!

ValiumQueen · 07/03/2013 03:16

Sorry kissy rest assured the sleep regression is fairly short lived. I hope, anyway.

DS did 2.5 hours. He was in bed very early so that may be why.

glendathefedupwitch · 07/03/2013 03:16

Oh vq please voice your concern to school, a 7 yr old dd1 is 7 and hearing that sends shivers up my spine :( is very young and if anything happened to them you would never forgive yourself!!

ValiumQueen · 07/03/2013 03:17

glenda welcome to the fucking won't sleep club x

ValiumQueen · 07/03/2013 03:21

Hope your stay is brief obviously glenda I meant to say, after mat leave you need to stay with employer for 3 months, but surely training with same employer counts? I am hoping I may score a place on HV training when I go back. Perhaps it is contractual as I would be seconded but you are a student. Seems bloody unfair though x

PurplePidjin · 07/03/2013 03:29

5 hours then 1 3/4 Shock although i was just about to transfer him when i woke him sneezing Sad this cold can do one already!

R likes to sit on a lap, or be supported to stand. Then we alternate between play gym, bumbo and door bouncer. If he grizzles, i press the button on something musical - often it's that simple. He also has a special whimper he does that means Next Please! We do feeding group on Tuesday, occasional swimming/baby groups depending on my friend's shifts, visits to grandma and walks in the sling. Seems to be enough, i find he gets grumpy if we overdo things so I'm trying to scale it back a bit.

Hello newbies, glad there's an end in sight Eliza Thanks

kirrinIsland · 07/03/2013 04:00

At least another hospital is a change of scene Eliza ! Though I suspect one ward looks very much like another.

sweetpea what others have said ^^ Get help if you need it - don't give it time to set in.

Yay for 5 hours pidj :) Thats a great improvement. Hope the cold buggers off quickly.

N has just slept from half ten til now Shock Grin That's just over 5 hours. I don't want to get too excited, but we seem to be stopping the every hour thing. Hopefully it will last.

Lily311 · 07/03/2013 04:16

Arghhh, I can't sleep!!! DD was up at 3 and went back to sleep after having 3 oz, I am now struggling. Does anyone else suffer from back pain since giving birth? I had a back to back labour which lasted 25 hours and the back pain is getting worst. Especially when lying down.

kissyfur · 07/03/2013 05:29

Sweetpea I second what others have said, pls talk to someone quickly about how you are feeling xx hugs

LO up again snuffling and chewing her fingers, she keeps sticking them in her mouth and making herself gag - silly baby! Supposed to be having 2nd lot of jabs today, should I cancel it as she's snotty and a bit bunged up?

VQ def talk to someone about those children, something not right there for sure

Oh where has my good little sleeper gone?! Guess my share of the sleepy dust has run out

Pikz · 07/03/2013 05:34

Sweet pea big hugs.... Don't let it set in.

5 hrs and 5 hrs finally. He currently thinks its morning so have left him chatting in cot as I'm trying to train him anything before 7 isn't morning.

Welcome wallino and barefoot

YellowWellies · 07/03/2013 05:49

Det if you had reflux as a kid makes me think it could be CMPI as that has a strong genetic component (mindst normal reflux could for all I know!) if his symptoms reappear and you can discount weight gain, teething, virus and jags then I would speak to your doc re his formula.

Do I get my Momma multi tasking badge yet? Am feeding DS, MNing (natch) and have just squirted gobshite cat with water pistol for yodeling like a miaowing banshee and threatening to wake the baby! Grin I do have a caring compassionate animal-loving side but not before six am

Det hadn't spotted you were looking for a jumperoo my dear - the offer of a boxed rainforest one (potentially with some bits missing - I've not checked its in the loft) which I made to lily is made to you too - if either of you are interested just PM me. As I say it'll be down from the loft when we move (5th April).

Sweet pea my Mum had depression and it was scary to watch, if not for you but for LO go and talk to your doc or HV. Do you have much support in RL? We're all here for you.

MM lovely see you at ours on Fri just text with a time - have nowt planned xx

YellowWellies · 07/03/2013 05:52

Lily I had a labour like that and yip I do get back pain - hadn't put two and two together! I also still get a bit of organ settlement pain post ventouse Envy Confused

Lily311 · 07/03/2013 06:05

Thank you for Jumperoo offer, I pass it to Detective. I put an ad on our local selling site and one is very nearby, I pick it up over the weekend.

We are up. It is going to be a long day...

kirrinIsland · 07/03/2013 06:10

YW I take it the yodelling cat has previous form for that? Or did you just happen to have a water pistol by your bed?! Either way - great multi skilling!!

Another 2 hours (nearly) out of N. This is how she used to sleep. I can cope with this. Hopefully she'll go back down for a bit now. I have started getting her up at 7.30, even if it's been a shit night, in an effort to bring bedtime forward from midnight! It seems to be working so I'll stick with it, even if it sometimes feels like hell getting up then.

Getting the girls passport photos done today. Hopefully they will cooperate!

YellowWellies · 07/03/2013 06:16

Yes Kirrin! Haha not your usual bedroom accessory I grant you. right transfer time and DH up in ten mins. Bollocks.

Lilliana · 07/03/2013 06:30

L did another 3 hours which is better than her usual 2 for second sleep but woke by dh's bloody alarm again. asked if there is a less annoying / more subtle noise he could use, answered probably! Well did you not think to change it yourself then?!

Why did i end up lying awake while l and dh's slept? I needed that hour!

Anyway on to thankful Thursday.

Thankful that dh's job gives us a huge house to live in so we have lots of space for l and can rent out our house so i can afford to go part time.

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/03/2013 06:34

kirren don't say that, I was hoping the new hospital would have all singing and dancing hula girls!

sweetpea I watched my father suffer with depression for years and years. He eventually turned into an alcoholic which eventually killed him whilst I was pregnant with DD1. By the time he got the help that I battled for him to have it was all a bit little too late. Sorry not a very cheery tail! The fact you have recognised and not us your depression is coming back is a fantastic start but you must get rl help. Do you have a counsellor? What's your family support like? I can't remember where you live but will happily meet half way if its achievable for either of us. That's if I ever get out of this god foresaken place of course Grin and also talk to us loads...the quiche are here for you.

As contra pointed out to me, you always have company when you're on this thread!

Well E has gone back off after the 6am obs and feed so I'm going to try and grab another couple if hours if I can, otherwise it really will be the longest day known to man!

Pikz · 07/03/2013 07:26

Morning Eliza hope you get some sleep!

I too missed out on an hour kirrin as couldn't get back to sleep after 5am feed and then he only dosed off til 6.30.

YW pmsl!!! We have a hockey stick next to bed as it was used for removing hornets last summer but the fact you have a loaded water pistol is ace! Are you never tempted to use it on DH?

PetiteRaleuse · 07/03/2013 07:28

Morning all. Eliza that sucks that you aren't going homebutnit's great you're being so well looked after. The NHS does rock.

This morning I am thankful that both my girls are well. I am thankful for immunisations, which will protect them from all kinds of nasties. I'm saying that now because in about an hour's time I might be less thankful for that.

VQ I am usual of the do not get involved school of thought, because you never know an individual family's circumstances, but in this case I would phone the school and give them a heads up, then back off.

Erm, welcome to the latest stalkers lurkers. I have thoughts on bilingualism which I will share later. In the meantime I have to get the LO to the doctors after a shocking night with DD1. For some reason she just wasn't sleepy until about 3am. at which point she woke up LO with her shouting. Well she was sleepy this morning when I woke her up at stupid o'clock to go to nursery
