Morning all. Great news.
N selpt from 6, til 730. He woke at 8 when I put home to bed, then wide awake at 1130 til 130 and was asleep again. Smile

He was a bugger at the will place as he just cried, and whinged. Envy

Evil

They can pretty much have fussiness at any time according to the ww!!?? The stormy period according to them is 15 to 19 weeks peaking at 17 weeks. I think. Not got the book on me!!

Sorry to those of you who had bad nights. We had three wakings which is better than the hourly we had the night before!!

Off swimming after doing the horses then need to get ready for my course tomorrow. 12 hours away :(

horseylady · 01/03/2013 08:07

From my boy that should end!!

CandyPop · 01/03/2013 08:19

I was wondering whether she was getting enough from the last feed as she's still being breastfed. Considering to to u with formula with the feed. Anyone doing that?

CandyPop · 01/03/2013 08:21

Top up*

StuntNun · 01/03/2013 08:23

It's probably just a growth spurt Candy so you'll have more frequent feedings regardless of whether you bf, ff or combined feed.

candy welcome back. I have been giving J a bottle most days for the past week. He did do his first 8 hour stretch but has not repeated it and is waking 3 hourly currently. We have had a chat on the board and ff does not mean better sleep. J is 18 weeks old and has done 1 x 8 hours, and 3 x 5 hours in his entire life. I am tired. He will get there though.

TheDetective · 01/03/2013 08:55

Thanks ladies. Unfortunately I didn't even get to speak to DC1 this morning!!!! Fucking shitter of a night, can't even go in to it. Both me and DP tearing hairs out and having our own tantrums!! DP took DS to school as I think I slept 7-8.30 and that is it. Hmm

We've got smiles and normal poo this morning.

Feel less alone knowing it isn't just us that had a sleeper who decided sleep is for wimps! And if sleep is to be achieved it has to be on a human bed.

kyz the water wasn't cold enough when the powder was added so it was too thick to get through the teat. I resorted to the syringe as the only way I could get his feed in!!

sweetpea1112 · 01/03/2013 09:20

Some really shitty nights last night. Brew all round.

I think part of O's problem is that he only poos once every two days, so the night of the Day of No Poo he seems quite uncomfortable and wriggly. No idea how to change this though and hoping it is just a phase.

TheDetective · 01/03/2013 09:48

I have to admit I was tempted to put him in the car and drive him round last night. Also at one point I was eyeing up the swing. But I won't let him win! It's nightime not play time!!

This better fucking pass!!!

ValiumQueen · 01/03/2013 09:49

DS poos constantly. The girls were the same. Gallons of the stuff. Rather that than constipation. That must be horrid for all concerned.

The vest DH put on boy last night was a long sleeve one that he has been too big for for some time now. It looked like body paint and was a bugger to get off.

I have started cutting up favourite outfits of the kids ready for memory quilt. Sad but very therapeutic.

Pikz · 01/03/2013 09:52

eBay for this boy today....

StuntNun · 01/03/2013 09:59

Oh dear Pikz what did he do?

OP posts:
CandyPop · 01/03/2013 10:03

Aww vq still no luck with sleep? He is a stubborn one but at some point they will give in, hopefully we don't have to wait until they're teenagers before they love sleep!! Ooh and the vest changer poos! I live on edge now, bubba poos have changed from pooing several times a day to one every 1-2 days. When it comes, oh boy is it messy!!

Lilliana · 01/03/2013 10:09

Chunky I fell asleep with L feeding last night too Blush woke up an hour later and tried to feed her again as didn't realise until I looked at the clock Blush Blush

Detective sorry to hear you had such a bad night. Hope you don't have too much on today

We've had madness since 8 weeks - she is now 13 weeks! Don't think I can blame the growth spurts, this is normal :(

Hi Candy, you were due the same day as me iirc. Hope the 3/4 hours is a blip for you and you are back to normal soon.

Horsey it's going to get worse??!!

CandyPop · 01/03/2013 10:12

Yes liliana we did have the same due date! However LO was early by a week and a half :)

TheDetective · 01/03/2013 10:12

DP just put O in the cot but the cot mobile fell off and clonked him on the head. Don't think we will be getting him back in there any time soon!

Blue murder was screamed.

It's going to be a long day. I will crack the enigma tonight. I will. I have a plan. O is not being told of said plan!!!

gardenpixie32 · 01/03/2013 10:13

5 months old today and already in 6-9 month vests and baby grows! Can't believe we managed to get the girls to 5 months in one piece. DP and I feel quite proud that we have done it alone, just the two of us!

Pikz · 01/03/2013 10:26

Stunt he has been up since 6 with one 30min nap. He is a whingey Velcro poonami boy. I can't even put a nappy in bin without a meltdown.

StuntNun · 01/03/2013 10:32

eBay it is then Pikz!

Detective my DM was complaining about me using my phone near J in case it gives him brain damage. Little does she know that I have managed to drop it in his head twice while feeding him. Blush

OP posts:
Lilliana · 01/03/2013 10:35

Candy L was 2 weeks late!

Pikz I have a velcro baby today too. Think it is going to be a long day.

Sounds exciting detective are you able to whisper said plan? hope it works.

Jabs have been put on hold until L has get the ok from consultant, at least I don't have to worry about them messing up our sleep further for a few weeks.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 01/03/2013 10:37

DS is 17 weeks today and I cannot believe where the time has gone either garden

Another crap night last night. DS woke at 1am, put him down at 3am only for him to wake up and need more rocking to sleep until 3.30am! Had we been at home I might have considered letting him just grizzle back to sleep, but we are visiting family and I didn't want DD to wake. But she woke anyway at fucking 5am and that was it.

Off to see childless friends today who are TTC and have been for 4 years and who I have promised some adult time to after kids asleep. Will have to stifle my yawner,

StuntNun · 01/03/2013 10:39

Holy sh1t! I put J in his cot for his nap just now since he started rolling a couple of days ago. Cue dummy popping out, scrabbing at himself with his nails, and generally not going to sleep. Anyway I just turned him on to his side because he usually feeds to sleep in bed with me and he's out like a light. He isn't all the way over on his side just canted up a bit with his head turned to the side. Me so stoopid, why didn't I think of this sooner? DS2 slept on his side from day 1. He's drifted off now and rolled back on to his back with his head still turned to the side. Quick I'm off to get a cup of tea and hide the matches before the HV arrives.

OP posts:
StuntNun · 01/03/2013 10:41

My HV isn't a pyromaniac or anything by the way, I just thought it wasn't advisable to advertise that they are sometimes left in reach of the children cos DH is a careless idiot who thinks bad things don't happen to him.

OP posts:
ChunkyChicken · 01/03/2013 10:45

DS turns himself on to his side to go to sleep stunt. I figure, as he does it, I won't bother turning him back. It usually means he's ready to sleep.

Have received info about the school reorganisation from the meeting on Wed. My job is safe, shouldn't affect my dept (other than increase our teaching allocation) but there are pastoral manager roles (only 15% teaching in a F/T role). I'm idly wondering whether I should look into this. I don't want to do f/t but equally it might give me options for later on... Hmm
