Fuckbags just realised spring steals an hour of my precious sleep.... Noooooooo

BigPigLittlePig · 01/03/2013 11:12

F has abandoned her 8 hour stints too, preferring to wake at 3.30. Such a horrible time of night to be up. Luckily she has been going back in her own bed afterwards, until 6.30ish. I too have fallen asleep when feeding her and forgotten she was there Blush

Our house is fairly un-childproof it must be said. I'm sat here looking at a very ashy open fireplace complete with wobbly cast-iron poker stand next to it, matches on the side, leads from dhs ps3. Don't even get me started on the utility room with the cats litter tray shitpit. There will be a stairgate on that door once F becomes mobile.

kirrinIsland · 01/03/2013 11:25

pikz at the moment spring will simply mean one hour less of no sleep to me!

Seems there's a fair few of us having crap nights at the moment.

That's good stunt Perhaps there'll be some sleep for you soon then.

detective what's your plan? And will it work on N?!

chunky good news on your job. The new roles have got to worth at least looking into? Always good to keep your options open.

I am determined to go for a decent walk today. I have managed to get back to pre-preg weight with a little help from a sick bug but I'm still quite flabby? And yesterday's 1.6km was a PB since I started using the pedometer - pathetic!

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 01/03/2013 11:28

Morning, we're having sleep problems here too Sad, so tired and fed-up of feeding. I don't mind breast feeding normally but the extra feeds are really beginning to depress me, It's daft really, but I resent feeding her in the night when she didn't need feeding last week. She's gone from 5 feeds a day to about 8-9.

I hope you're ok tits and getting the help that you need from a doctor. Keep talking xx

Kyzordz · 01/03/2013 11:44

detective e has been on reflux milk for a few months now and I have tried lots of different ways to do his milk. The water doesn't cause the powder to clump when it is at room temperature or just above. If left as the powder tub says, 45 mins, it goes thick, gloopy, and I have to sieve each bottle before giving it! It's very difficult. I am not sure if leaving the water to go to room temperature will be a problem re:bugs etc

BigPigLittlePig · 01/03/2013 11:51

dicks Envy at 5 feeds a day. F has never gone below at least 10. With you on the resenting though, then I feel guilty for feeling resentful.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/03/2013 12:18

Took LO to the paed this morning as While she was ill I noted down how much she drank and yesterday there was a sudden dip and she was more irritable than usual, despite the temperature dropping to normal. I was worried about her ears. Of course she laughed her way through the appointment and showed me up. Ears chest and throat clear (good!) so the Doc thinks she is, like me, st achey and fed up of the fucking flu.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/03/2013 12:46

Ooh happy St Davids contra St Davids St Davids St Davids St Davids St Davids

PetiteRaleuse · 01/03/2013 12:46

And to everyone else of course.

glendathefedupwitch · 01/03/2013 12:52

Fucking cunting app - just written epic post as its taken me hours to catch up!!! Bollocks!!!

Most important bit was huge hugs to tits ThanksThanksThanks

Arse I'm so pissed off!!!! What's the frigging point - back under my rock!!

ShellyBobbs · 01/03/2013 12:55

Joe got in at his prefered high school thank goodness. 2 down and 2 to go Grin

Well Tommy slept soundly in his cot last night with a 1.15 & 4.20 feed. I think the times he spent in bed with us have paid off, when the light went out he went straight to sleep. I had the 15 week megafeedathon last week!

Elizadoesdolittle · 01/03/2013 13:23

Not had time to catch up on thread but just wanted to pop on quickly to say that we've been admitted into hospital. We were here for 5 hrs yesterday having various tests done. Got the call this morning to come in. Not got test results yet. Waiting for consultant to come. We have our own room with en suite which is something and they've just bought me lunch. Hope all other babies are fit and well...will try and catch up on thread later. Sure i will have plenty of time, I reckon I'll be bored stiff!

ValiumQueen · 01/03/2013 13:28

Thinking of you eliza

Good news on school placements!

I am feeling a bit brighter today. Just going to make cookies while J naps. DD 2 is busy mopping the floor. She loves cleaning. Strange child.

ValiumQueen · 01/03/2013 13:29

shelley was that his first night in the cot? Well done Tommy!

ValiumQueen · 01/03/2013 13:30

glenda post in small snippets. Less frustrating. We want to hear from you!

PetiteRaleuse · 01/03/2013 13:32

Ooh VQ does the loving cleaning phase last then? DD1 loves cleaning to the point she draws on the wooden floors deliberately then asks for a wipe to clean it :o I have been not so secretly hoping that this interest will last until she is big enough to want to do quite a bit more.

Eliza I have been wondering if you were already in. Good luck for the next few days.

sweetpea1112 · 01/03/2013 13:45

Just been for a nice long walk with O so feeling a bit more awake now. Had the opposite effect on O as he is sound asleep on me.

Dreading the clocks going forward, wondering if it will affect his sleep and hoping the longer daylight hours don't mean less sleep in the evenings and mornings.

Boring question alert: Those of you whose babies are in cots - what bedding do you use? I bought two lovely and expensive gro bags but he hates them Hmm So we are using cellular blankets but he is a wriggler and last night he ended up cold as he had wriggled up and away from them.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/03/2013 13:47

When do the clocks go forward? Is it this weekend?

sweetpea1112 · 01/03/2013 13:50

31st March I believe

PetiteRaleuse · 01/03/2013 13:56

Easter Weekend then. Will have to make up for lost sleep with chocolate.

blonderedhead · 01/03/2013 14:11

Oh I posted this earlier but it failed. I always copy long posts now so can paste 'em later if that happens. Et voila! Bit out of date though now, must add hugs and Thanks and Brew to Eliza.

MM we have a Fiesta, have wished it had 5 doors and isofix a few times in the last few months but I love driving it, only downside to DH passing his test is I have to share it!

YW also had poo in bath with me in too, delightful.

Candy welcome back, I concur that ff hasn't helped sleep with us, in fact the opposite! He used to sleep quite well until it was introduced but his tummy hasn't coped with it at all well and we are now on prescription hypoallergenic stuff.

We had one of our poorest nights since newborn days, despite Calpol for sore jabbed legs. Thank goodness DH could go into work a bit later so I could get some sleep at dawn.

TheDetective · 01/03/2013 14:12

Sat in M&S cafe with baby on knee!

Plan to be unveiled later it's shit don't hold your breath!!.

Also. O liked swimming better with the neoprene wrap. Will link later as they are much cheaper than the zoggy ones.

Kyzordz · 01/03/2013 14:12

I knew there was a reason I never go anywhere! Took e into town to get a coffee with dp and mil, and e was overtired so we had a meltdown and screaming abdabs. I didn't know what to do with him for the best so took him outside to cool down and put him in his pushchair lying down and he finally went to sleep, only for 20 mins, mind.

kirrinIsland · 01/03/2013 14:24

That's good news for you and Joe Shelly and well done to Tommy too :)

N has just woken up from a 3 hour nap. Why can't she do 3 hours over night then?!

Thinking of you Eliza Keep us posted if you can.

PurplePidjin · 01/03/2013 14:30

R is asleep on me, in his sleeping bag in the bed. I'm going for transfer...
