Still no sleep. LO currently laughing on her playmat as I brought her downstairs in the end. How can she go so long without sleeping?!?

sweetpea1112 · 28/02/2013 23:51

First feed of the night already - I'm starting to lose hope that he will ever sleep longer than 4 hours, I am so so tired. This is his longest stint of the night too, history tells me that I will be lucky to get another 3 hour block tonight.

Really thought he would be better at this by now Sad

TheDetective · 01/03/2013 00:05

Sweetpea same here Angry Blush. He fed at 6.15, then 8.20, finally got him to sleep at 9.30 but he woke at 11.30 screaming blue murder. We were in the middle of doing the bottles so we didn't have one ready. He had to scream for 20 minutes while I got frostbite desperately trying to cool a bottle to fridge temp. It didn't work so now he is fighting with a bottle full of lumps. Ffs.

sweetpea1112 · 01/03/2013 00:10

It all started to go wrong at 12 weeks - pinning my hopes on some kind of growth spurt/wonder weeks style regression.

Back in cot now so off to try and get a bit of sleep. Fingers crossed you get some decent sleep Detective from one Oscar mother to another Grin

StuntNun · 01/03/2013 00:12

Midnight? Unbelievable, he didn't even manage four hours for his longest sleep of the night. Humph I'm too tired for this.

Feeling your pain guys :(

N fell asleep at half ten, which is really good for her, and is awake for her first feed already. I used to moan at the mere four hour stretches - now I dream of them! I'm hoping this is a late 12 week growth spurt.

Hope you're all too busy sleeping to read this :)

TheDetective · 01/03/2013 00:29

Arghhhhhh. I've just syringe fed him with a 1ml syringe, cup fed him, given up on both and now giving him a carton of cow & gate out of desperation. I'll take the vomiting over up all night.

Except he's choking on the fucking milk because the thicker milk needed the size 3 teats but he's screaming at them now hes having the c&g. Size 2 now in steriliser.

Nervous breakdown here.

DP in doghouse for not doing bottles WHEN I FUCKING ASKED Angry.

TheDetective · 01/03/2013 00:31

Twatting men. Twatting milk. Twatting twatty twatter.

Gaaaaah.

TheDetective · 01/03/2013 00:50

Well he took 3 oz of the gloop autocorrect fail changed gloop to floppy!! and 1oz of the carton and he now appears to be asleep after being wide awake 10 mins ago and flashing his most winning smiles at me knows he was pushing his luck!!. Good job I lost the receipt for him!

Exciting news for DS1 in the morning. Got the secondary allocation email just after midnight. He got in our 1st choice school! Yay!

Lilliana · 01/03/2013 01:30

Gah we're up for first feed too after going to sleep at 10. No chance of another 5 hour stretch then.

Detective well done with tt although can't believe they didn't have the courtesy to email you and yay fir school choices.

No bath poo here yet but L is prob storing it up for when i bath her as it is usually dh's job.

Know there was more i wanted to say but brain is fried and stupid phone won't let me look back at what has been said.

Oh well prob see you again in a couple hours :(

sweetpea1112 · 01/03/2013 02:53

Nightmare Detective but yay for school success!

Up for second sodding feed now. 2.5 hours, but been awake at least half an hour listening to him stir.

What is wrong with him? At my wits end now. I would say 'This too shall pass' but I genuinely don't know if it will Sad

Sorry to everybody else having crap nights. Something in the air tonight.

StuntNun · 01/03/2013 03:35

And he's feeding again after another three hours so DM will be on at me to start weaning. He's 15 weeks though, is this an unscheduled growth spurt?

OP posts:
rootypig · 01/03/2013 03:49

pea I feel your pain, my LO the same, all went pearshaped at 11 weeks, down to two hour wakings from doing nearly all night stretches can't bear to think about it, she has gradually crept back up to fairly consistent four hour stretches, but now 17 weeks so not much to shout about, she is four months tomorrow so am shitting myself for this famous regression and worry her sleep will be crap forever

rootypig · 01/03/2013 03:52

oh wait Detective fab news on the school! yay for happy morning with DS1! hope you get to enjoy his excitement. and there would be lots of Angry in my house over bottle fuckwittery too, wonder wtf is wrong with blokes quite a lot of the time, why can't they just bloody do what they're told

kirrinIsland · 01/03/2013 04:40

Nearly 15 weeks here as well stunt We appear to have gone back to waking up whenever she's put in the cot as well. I'm just about to try for the third time. Only a bottle fixes this but I just cant express enough to give a bottle every night.

Yay for school decision detective :)

Lilliana · 01/03/2013 04:45

Here we are again 2.5 hours later. On the up side she has been in her cot rather than sleeping on me, onthe downside she seems to sleep better on me.

I share your pain rooty, stunt and sweet. She slept better than this at 5 weeks :( at 8 weeks she started waking all the time; too long now to blame a growth spurt and no sign of much improvement.

Being positive it gives me time to catch up with mn Grin

Kyzordz · 01/03/2013 06:13

I'm awake, LO isn't. Wonder when he'll put in an appearance! Sorry to those who have had crap nights :(

Can't believe it's march already, madness!

Howcome you had to do syringe feeding etc detective? Was o being difficult?

kissyfur · 01/03/2013 06:44

Finally got her to sleep at a quarter to 1! 15 weeks here too so maybe it's their age?! Hoping she'll go back to sleep.

Hoping the rest of you get some more sleep too

nillynoon · 01/03/2013 06:46

First half decent sleep for a week - definitely having a 15 week growth spurt/wonder week fussiness going on here the past wee while!

sweetpea1112 · 01/03/2013 07:00

What an awful night Sad. And DP has now told me that I can't look after him when I'm tired so he has to look after him at night's now Hmm

Well today is a new day, let's hope it is a good one for all Smile

ChunkyChicken · 01/03/2013 07:00

Had a whinge to DH at about 4.30 this morning because 'DS is wanting feeding every 3hrs' & he kept spitting his dummy out etc etc However, the first feed was 4.5hrs & this feed is 5.5hrs ish Blush Even more Blush given some of your nights... I'm so tired though. I fell asleep feeding A & woke up over 2hrs after I started to feed him having forgotten he was there.Shock It could have been disastrous :(

Hope those that had bad nights have better days today...

StuntNun · 01/03/2013 07:13

I must say I'm relieved that the 15-week madness isn't just us. I don't think the wonder weeks have applied here, J's periods of fussiness and wakefulness have been completely different. J is messing about in the boob: sticking his thumb in his mouth, popping off and talking to me; staring in fascination at the pattern on my dressing gown. Now my dressing gown's pretty awesome but surely not that worthy of detailed examination? These are not the actions of a starving child. So why such frequent night feeds?

The HV is coming today so I'll be able to get the wee tub of lard baby weighed. I need to ask her about the problem they found with my blood after J's birth which will no doubt confuse her. But the hospital were supposed to send me a card to carry in case I ever need a blood transfusion so it sounds quite important.

Right must go change his bum again. He had five dirty nappies by 11 o'clock yesterday! I don't know how he does it.

Pikz · 01/03/2013 07:30

Yay for mini detective and school!

LO has been up, had breakfast and is now back asleep in bed. I too am off back to bed as he fed at 4 and then wanted to get up at 6!

Pikz · 01/03/2013 07:31

Stunt we have had 12,13 and going into 14 week madness. Feels likes growth spurt each week for like 2 days.

CandyPop · 01/03/2013 08:03

Morning ladies ! Can I rejoin?? Haven't been on for ages but had still been keeping up with our Facebook group. When I read the title of this thread I thought thank god it's not just me. Bubba had been sleeping T least one 8 hr stint for weeks but suddenly she's waking every 3-4 hrs during the night for a feed!! Why??? !!!

Gonn go catch up on this thread now... Wonder how many I've missed .?! Are you ladies still as chatty as ever??! :D
