Asked you to wait 2 years to have a baby?!! Worst idea ever!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 06/03/2013 14:18

What's worse is there is a history of fertility problems in her family so she's convinced it may take a long time for her to conceive. Imagine if we were trying at the same time and I fell before her. There'd be no resentment there would there? Takes bridezilla to a whole new level!

EggsMichelle · 06/03/2013 14:45

Well done Pidg and R, we are no where near rolling, but he loves standing up and can sit up with minimal support.

DH and I are planning a weekend away in April, f went to il's for one night in February and he have had lots of evenings out, but decided we want to have a weekend to ourselves. F appears to enjoying staying with them, so I know my mind will be at ease.

DSis also had a 'I want to be pregnant before you plan' which when I fell pregnant instantly and it took her 4months caused a bit of a rift, but she is 32wks now and very much got over that episode!

Been out to the mums and baby group this morning, taken DH to work and now cracking on with the ignored house work from the past few days. Although keep procrastinating on Rightmove, it's dangerous!

WLmum · 06/03/2013 15:01

Exactly willyou

T has been the amazing sleeping baby today! It's been a rare treat!

SpottyTeacakes · 06/03/2013 15:16

Ds's sleeping lots today too.

He's nowhere near rolling over, doesn't even push up at tummy time. His feeding in the day is more 2.5 hours now Smile

EggsMichelle · 06/03/2013 15:23

I take back the no rolling, just caught him rocking his hips to the left trying to roll!

Only a short 2hr nap today, but he did spend 1.5hrs asleep in the car!

Chloe55 · 06/03/2013 16:42

Lots of rolling onto the side and kicking her legs over the past few days here. I remember with ds the frustrating stage when they can roll onto their front but struggle to get their arm out, lots of tears! Also, big sleeping/feeding baby here too.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/03/2013 16:47

I just sneezed and ds's bottom lip went and he burst out crying!

FriendofDorothy · 06/03/2013 17:01

I have noticed a bit of a flat spot developing on Edwards head. He isn't keen on tummy time but we keep trying. What else can we do to improve his head shape?

SpottyTeacakes · 06/03/2013 17:13

FoD you can buy special pillows have a google. Always face him so be has to look the other way to see you/toys/whatever he's playing with. Move his head to the other side each time you see him laying on his favourite side. Dd had/has plagiocephaly (sp?) but at least she can cover it with her hair! I blame the forceps delivery tbh

IsThatTrue · 06/03/2013 17:37

FoD I can't remember if you use slings or not but these help to keep the pressure of their heads while out and about.

My ds1 had a flat head around 4/5 months and it got better when he was sitting up. He now has a perfectly spherical head like Carl pilkington! Grin

MaMaPo · 06/03/2013 17:53

Eggs, 'only' a 2 hour nap? I am dancing because we got a 2 hour nap this afternoon! Sure, had to slog around and around the park, but still.

So, teething signs:
-grumpiness - tick
-sudden crying in sleep/out of the blue -tick
-drooling -tick
-chewing on stuff (own hands) -tick
-amazing runny/smelly poo -tick
-two neat little white dots on bottom gum - tick - spotted today during crying jag.

In all, I think it's begun. Although Honey, probably your HV would disagree with me!

Ah the mystery of the amazing screamy baby becomes clear! We have all of your list mama apart from white dots. But the one spot he likes to press your finger to on his gun feels much harder than usual. Poor baby!

Stacks · 06/03/2013 19:50

I was sure T is teething, except the hard bits on his gums are on the top..

I got T weighed at massage class for the last 3 weeks. He's dropping percentiles rapidly :( I'm trying to feed more, but I feed whenever he wants it, and often try to feed when he doesn't want any.

I had T in his pram today to go into town, he stubbornly stayed awake on the bus both ways (45 m each way). He seemed happier with the hood down so he could see out. Still got fed up with it and I had to get him out. Also got a new bra while out, measured at bravissimo and went from 34E to 32F.

HoneyMumandSon · 06/03/2013 20:13

Mama Grin my hv would tell you it isn't teething even of there was a full set in there!

SeymoreInOz · 06/03/2013 21:16

Morning! Just about to catch up on the thread.

DD is singing to DS, bless her she's so out of key (gets that from DH) but DS is loving it. I've never heard him coo so much! Grin

WLmum · 06/03/2013 21:39

That's a worry stacks did they have anything useful to say?

halesball · 06/03/2013 23:26

Stacks hope your LO is ok.

Wow what a weight isthat. Congratulations on becoming a AuntyThanks.

Congratulations to everyone whose LO's are rolling over.

Commiserations to everyone whose LO's are teething. Hope the babies are ok though.

H is her normal self (despite having her jabs this morning) after frightening me on monday i'm wondering if she had something in her eye which caused the swelling. To me she has no symptoms of a infection, but i think she may have asthma. DP has it and also my sister and shes very much like my sister when she was born. I'm about to have a good nights sleep after having hardly any the last couple of days my mum has come to mine to takeover.

IsThatTrue · 06/03/2013 23:28

Ds1 (6) has been sick 4 times. I was asleep by 9.30 and DH just had to wake me to come help. I hadn't heard anything when DS came in. Ridiculously confused and took about 15 minutes to de-fog my brain. My first proper sleep in ages :(

and kicking myself for eating his leftovers from dinner

WLmum · 06/03/2013 23:59

Fx you don't get it isthat. When dd2 had it we 'd been taking turns to bite a sandwich and I was fine (until 2 weeks later so assume it wasn't her I got it from). Hope he feels better soon.

Dd is having. Most unusual early feed.

Sold a stack of reusable nappies today. Am Smile at £ and cupboard space but Sad at how fast I seem to be casting off baby stuff. The 0-6 month sleeping bags are in the too small pile already, my big girl is in 6-18 months tonight (aged 11 weeks!).

WLmum · 07/03/2013 00:14

Oh dear, just put her down and she was sick twice (not poorly just good old reflux) so had to change cot sheet. Woke DH to tell him she was in the bed, he held her hand and fell straight back to sleep. Checked on dd1 (is poorly) and woke her for calpol as she's burning up. Came back to dd grinning at me in the dark. Hmm a long night ahead?

IsThatTrue · 07/03/2013 03:29

Oh ds1 is being sick again and is now sat on the toilet. DH is having to deal with it as ds2 is feeding right now

utopian99 · 07/03/2013 05:08

Staying at a friends with ds. Had Sad message from dh saying he misses us yesterday evening, but am hoping he gets a nice solid night's sleep. Been co sleeping with O in their spare room double bed and he slept from 11.30-5! Absolute Shock!

Is this just because of co sleeping?Loving the sleep but I just really don't want to end up in a situation where he's always in with us as I really really like being able to cuddle up to dh and not worry about a small one in our bed. Also rock hard humungoboob when I woke up just now -I was the one waking him up to feed so for all I know he'd have carried on...

utopian99 · 07/03/2013 05:11

isthat so sorry for your ds1... Hopefully a 12/24hr bug that will pass soon?

Assume from the silence we have lots of sleeping babies.. Smile Hurrah!

IsThatTrue · 07/03/2013 05:37

And just got woken by the car alarm Shock I'm writing this one off as worst night ever. Ds2 has been am angel though 9.30-3 and 3.30-5.30
