I started putting O in outfits a few weeks ago because they looked cute on him like a tiny little man, but now I really enjoy him in the grows again too.. I never thought I'd be the sort to want him not to grow up.too fast...

For those upthread who were asking :)

Wet towel on the radiator with olbas oil on :)

WillYouDoTheFandango · 02/03/2013 11:49

Oops I appear to gave been back to bed for 2 hours when DP got up Confused what year is it? Where am I?

HoneyMumandSon · 02/03/2013 13:06

When D moves into the seat unit if the pram does he have to have a footmuff/cosy toes or are blankets enough coming into spring/summer?

SpottyTeacakes · 02/03/2013 13:37

Ds's too small for his foot muff at the moment so I just use his blanket

HoneyMumandSon · 02/03/2013 13:41

I'm just wondering how worth it it will be leading into summer or whether I can get away leaving it till next autumn. The pram we have has a seat liner anyway.

SpottyTeacakes · 02/03/2013 13:45

Well I didn't have one for dd. I don't think they're ever a necessity just a convenience thing

IsThatTrue · 02/03/2013 16:32

Ds2 went forward facing in the buggy today as he was wide awake I thought he might enjoy it. I used the buggy snuggle I got from a nearly new sale (£8 bargain!).

Stacks · 02/03/2013 17:12

I'm stuck in bed.. DS is sleeping on one side of me, DH on the other. I'm starting to get a headache from reading my phone in the dark. :(

SpottyTeacakes · 02/03/2013 17:14

I've been horrible shouty mum today. Dd has been horrendous (even though we had a nice morning at the garden centre and ate lunch out) and I'm just too tired to deal with it so just shout Sad

Dp probably won't be home until six. I managed to hold off cebeebies until 4:30 though Grin

IsThatTrue · 02/03/2013 18:49

Ds2 had to be woken at 6.30 for his bath with dd (if she wouldn't of kicked off I'd have left him to sleep tbh) he'd been asleep since about 3!! He went straight in the bath after I woke him and I even managed to dress him before his feed. We're definitely in the sleeping stage of this growth spurt.

I've been quite productive today which is good, I'm not normally! :)

Stacks · 02/03/2013 19:07

Is it common to sleep in a growth spurt? T slept for 5 hours on and off yesterday, and 4 hours today. He'd have slept longer both times too, only I had to get up for dinner and he was sleeping in bed with me (doesn't sleep for more than 30m during the day in his crib). He's obviously exhausted just now too, and he only for up at 5:30.

IsThatTrue · 02/03/2013 19:14

stacks I don't know about others but I've noticed ds2 seems to do 2-3 days of non stop eating and then a few days of mammoth sleeping and then gets back to normal when he's having a spurt.

He's back in bed now Hmm

ISpyPlumPie · 02/03/2013 19:33

Well, it might have taken us three months Blush but we've finally DTD! We had a rare opportunity this afternoon as DS1 was at PILs and N has decided over the last couple of days that he can have a decent length nap during the day without being held. So, so lovely to get some grown up time again Smile

EggsMichelle · 02/03/2013 21:30

Pants day, F has been happy and smiling all day, but refused to sleep. It has completely thrown me off combined with him sleeping through last night. It sounds like the most stupid thing to complain about, a solid night sleep and content baby, but I have been on edge all day waiting for him to scream the house down with exhaustion, and with DH on nights, I didn't want him disturbed so haven't left F alone long enough to get any jobs done.

DH at work now, F is asleep in bed and I'm eating Galaxy, watching Child of our Time and feeling very emotional. Maybe my periods coming?!

FriendofDorothy · 02/03/2013 21:54

We DTD last night too. I didn't break or anything!

The Little Mister is still horribly grumpy and coldy, I really hate seeing him like that!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 02/03/2013 23:51

Get you lot, sexing it up! I'm 4 weeks into my period Hmm, we DTD in the 5 days I didn't bleed between lochia ending and period starting. I'm starting to wonder if I will ever stop.

HoneyMumandSon · 02/03/2013 23:52

Sorry, got to post here as am fuming and here can't be traced by faintly. We had our family Christmas meal tonight (everyone elsewhere with inlaws at actual Christmas) my dad has a history of alcohol issues (not that he'll admit but used to easily drink 2 bottles of red a night.) much better now largely as since his diagnosis of Parkinson's and a major £35,000 fuck up with money my mum looks after all the cash he's bit down. It effects his Parkinson's and he knows it does but still drinks as much as poss if its there, like at family events. He'd drunk more than he should and knew I was upset as he'd promised he'd stopped smoking before D was born (I told him he wasn't coming near D if he had been smoking) and then, at 10pm when D had been really good all evening he started whining a bit a my dad properly shouted at him. Me and DH were in different parts of the room but I was holding D and coulbt believe it. A bit later I pulled my dad up on it and he denied having shouted at D. Then when we were on our way homer and DH both separately said how upset we were that dad had shouted at D and then denied it. The alcohol and Parkinson's may have made him unsure what he'd done bit equally he knows that drinking will have a huge effect on how he copes. Just really upset his grandson isn't enough to make him choose to drink less.

Sorry, rambling. Rough evening.

SpottyTeacakes · 03/03/2013 01:34

Honey that sounds really tough Sad I'm afraid I don't have any good advice but rant away.

Eugh no sex here, why would I do that when I could sleep?! No, just have to wait another four days for my pill to become effective definitely not risking a third unplanned pregnancy Hmm

We just had four and a half hours, that's the longest yet!

IsThatTrue · 03/03/2013 02:56

honey that sounds awful, sorry no advice but I hope things get better.

spotty yay for 4 1/2 hrs :) we've only done 3 hrs tonight but as he'd been asleep all evening 3-6.30 and 7.15-8.30, 9-11, 11.15-12.30 and 12.45-2.45 I can't complain too much!

WLmum · 03/03/2013 05:32

honey how horrible :-( don't blame you for being upset.

Envy of all the sex! We still haven't managed it, something always gets in the way - like now I feel shite with a cold.

Well, having had an awful night last night and barely closing her eyes during the day yesterday, dd just slept 8.30 til 5.15!!

SpottyTeacakes · 03/03/2013 05:38

Ds just did another four hours. Hooray for best night ever! Grin One wake up between nine and five thirty amazing!

WL that's brilliant sorry you're feeling rubbish with a cold

WLmum · 03/03/2013 07:21

Yay for baby spotty!

Dds sleep was amazing but took so long to get her back down that the big dds were up. Not so pleased at starting my day at 5.15! Oh well, can't win em all I guess!

SpottyTeacakes · 03/03/2013 07:29

Oh we started our day at 5:30! He only went back down half an hour ago but I can cope with early starts when I've had a good night! Plus dp is home today so we can go out Smile
