Yay YW that's fab

Pikz · 21/02/2013 10:23

Yay for YW!!!

Catbag · 21/02/2013 10:36

YW Loving the imagery of you sliding across the floor, ha ha. Congratulation wellies, that is truly exellent news Grin

Back from the doctors. Was predictably horrid. Does anyone else have the urge to actually punch the nurse in the face? I think that it isn't helped by the fact that she isn't particularly nice anyway, but I feel violent hackles rising when she jabs my babies Angry I am usually just sad.

Catbag · 21/02/2013 10:37

Ffs, EXCELLENT news*!

Contradictionincarnate · 21/02/2013 10:53

pennie surely you mean Tom Jones's Kiss! Grin Wink

I think mini disco is a good idea!!
I can't get to any baby classes I tried to do rhyme time myself but nursery rhymes are very annoying I always listen to lyrics that's my problem!
requested in Zumba last night proud Mary I had forgotten about that - its a good one with hand movements too...apart from that Buddy Holly is good! Grin
I will have to make a note of all these good songs with simple lyrics so I am not condemned to 12345 over and over!
zoe Williams on this morning! ... I love her! Grin

What a relief yw ((((group hug))))))

misslaughalot · 21/02/2013 11:08

Congratulations YW that's great!

Stunt thanks for the link about sleeping times and ta to everyone who replied. I know I should do what's right for us but like I said before I can't help but question every decision I'm making at the moment which is exhausting and I just wanted to get a feel for what others are doing. After an epic bedtime last night of two and a half hours and eight failed attempts to get her to sleep in her Moses basket (she kept waking up after 10-15 minutes, just as I was dropping off to sleep), I gave in and she slept with us at 11.30. We've never had a bedtime like that before, and she was waking up crying which she doesn't normally do. She seems fine in herself though so I'm not sure what's up with her?

Right, must check DP took the car to work this morning and it hasn't been nicked...

kirrinIsland · 21/02/2013 11:44

Yay YW Thats great :)

contra I have the same issue. N has her best sleep from around 7am. I know I should get her up then to try and bring bedtime forward but I just cant face it when I've been up half the night. I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and do it - it will be well worth it if it works and I will be mighty pissed off if it doesn't

Sophia no idea about housekeeping stuff I'm afraid. I occasionally read threads on there but they only serve to point out more things I should be doing. My house is awful. On the plus side DP seems to be coming round to the idea of getting a company in to do a deep clean every now and then. But presumably his apparent change of heart is because things have reached a new level of awfulness Blush

horseylady · 21/02/2013 11:56

cat radiation physics (medical applications)

stunt fab article. Thanks

TheDetective · 21/02/2013 12:09

I'm still alive!

I'm still on sweary Wednesday. Cocking boiler. I hate you!

The guy who plumbed it in had an emergency 24 hr call put number. I called and left a frantic message on it last night. The boiler could be heard taking off in the background. He still hasn't called back. I might leave a new message saying simply. We are dead. Hmm

O was a pain in the ass last night. Slept all through the boiler commotion. Woke 30 mins after we finally went back to sleep. So he woke at 2, I picked him up and sent DP down for a bottle. By the time he came back he was asleep. But only when on me. So he slept til 4. Fed one fucking ounce. Slept til 6.30 when he fed 2 oz which I practically forced the 2nd oz down (he screamed blue murder for the bottles and no amount of sleep inducing tactics worked prior...) and then he went back to sleep on me only to be woken by a delivery driver at 7.40 saying they would be at ours in 10 mins (DS new bed!).

Baaaaah.

Yay YW I like the celebration too! Love that feeling when everything seems to fall in to place!

ChunkyChicken · 21/02/2013 12:10

My DS decides he WOULD NOT sleep downstairs (as usual). So much so he kept throwing a proper paddy if I picked him up. Put him in his cot. He's fast asleep in minutes. Apparently, at 14+4wo, he has decided when & where he will nap... Confused

TheDetective · 21/02/2013 12:17

I am thankful for foundation. Today it is making my haggard face look just aged instead. Hmm

ChunkyChicken · 21/02/2013 12:21

YW Congrats. Good news.

Seeing as I didn't take advantage of sweary Wednesday (I had a good day), can I use my allc

ChunkyChicken · 21/02/2013 12:26

Allocation now...

Fucking stupid phone.

And cocking stupid late sister again. I don't mind a few mins late cos that would be v v hypocritical Blush but 2 fucking goddamn pissflaping HOURS!!! She's meant to be taking DD out for the day. Original pick-up time was 11am. Then 10.30-11. Then 11.30. Then they were leaving just now 20mins ago!!! I live 5mins WALKING distance.Angry I can't do/start anything because I don't want to be caught in the middle. Can't play games with DD because a 2.10yo doesn't understand. Plus explaining to DD that she was going out with Dsis 'soon' is a bit fucking difficult. Ffs.

ChunkyChicken · 21/02/2013 12:41

FINALLY DD has been collected. Bless her, she's been eagerly looking out of the window to see whether her Aunty has arrived yet all morning. I'm sure she'll be fine, just hope they don't get stuck in too much traffic.

Kyzordz · 21/02/2013 12:48

misslaughalot I have been the same re decisions. I feel like every single one is monumental and I struggle to make any decisions. I am getting better though but find everyone on these threads really helpful because it helps to have a variety of views and ideas to read, plus there has been situations where someone on here has thought of something I hadn't even considered.

Yay yw good news!!

chunky I HATE it when people do that, dp's mum and sister were coming once at 1pm. They finally turned up at near 5 when ds had just gone to sleep and proceeded to wake him up and then they kept asking me why he was so grumpy! Erm, I do wonder!

I have discovered something else I hate. Why is it if someone is holding your baby and the baby starts to cry and you say 'here, let me put him down, he is probably tired cos he has been up since seven' (it was 11 and he had been yawning). Why do they ignore you and continue with the baby until he is in hysterics because no amount of me telling them he won't sleep on them because he only met them 10 minutes ago and is in their house where he's never been and is over tired. What do you do in said situation? I found it very stressful :(

Thankful Thursday... I am thankful ds sleeps really well usually and that I feel a bit better than yesterday. I am not so thankful for period pains however!!

Glad you're still alive detective sounds like you had a really not fun night!!

kissyfur · 21/02/2013 13:35

I hate the daily mail, my mum buys it but only on a saturday for the weekend magazine apparently

Another rubbish day in the kissy household. DD1 was sick in our bed this morning Sad and LO still cries every time I put her down. Think something has got to be wrong with her surely?! Don't know what else to do with her

ChunkyChicken · 21/02/2013 13:54

I'm seriously hoping that DS is making up for a lack of sleep yesterday, as I just had to wake him from a 2hr (possibly more) nap. He's gone 4.5hrs since his last feed & yet couldn't manage 3hrs overnight. Seriously hoping he isn't reversing day & night. Grrr.

Am thankful that we have free contraception, a welfare system & social housing having just watched Call the MW. Am also thankful I don't currently require the above.

horseylady · 21/02/2013 13:55

It's freezing out there!!! Think puppy dog might be coming into season :(

Got a show jumping lesson shortly too!!!! It's sooooo cooold!!

TheTiger · 21/02/2013 14:10

Today is a year since I found out I was pregnant! It was pancake day, we are having pancakes tonight in memory Smile

Last night DS reached out in his sleep and put his fingers in my mouth. I had no intention of waking him up by moving him, so we slept like that.

chunky unless it was a large vom, I wouldn't dream of changing my clothes.

YW great news on the mortgage.

GT you have my sympathy. Morning sickness is the worst. Hope you feel better soon.

TheTiger · 21/02/2013 14:11

Oh, and kyzordz I find that if you actually put your arms out, or go to take your baby off them, no one is going to keep hold of them! It is very annoying though, I agree.

FatimaLovesBread · 21/02/2013 14:15

Off to visit a child- minder tonight after visiting a few weeks ago. Anyone any suggestions on what I should be finding out?
Has anyone got any opinions on nursery vs childminder?

PetiteRaleuse · 21/02/2013 14:23

Fatima with nursery they pick up all kinds of bugs but you are not dependent on staff sickness, holidays etc. I had a very bad experience with a CM and an excellent experience with nursery though, so am obviously biased.

GTbaby · 21/02/2013 14:33

Woke up at 2 Shock. Oh dear.
