Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
applepieinthesky · 25/02/2013 21:10

I've got seven bottles made up in the fridge and enough to make maybe two or three more max. Im going to need some tomorrow. Will have to drive round all the shops until I find some.

horseylady · 25/02/2013 21:11

Seriously?! That's crazy?! Is it just aptimal?

capedcrusader25 · 25/02/2013 21:12

Thanks Pikz will do. This will be another reason for mil to insist she be eating roast dinners by now Hmm

capedcrusader25 · 25/02/2013 21:13

O is on cow & gate horsey, E is as well isn't he?

applepieinthesky · 25/02/2013 21:14

Worst case scenario is I will have to buy the ready made stuff. Asda had it today but not the powder. It works out expensive long term but I really don't want to change his milk and make his stomach even worse. I'll get some in the morning before people start panic buying that as well.

horseylady · 25/02/2013 21:15

No I use sma!! I never changed from hospital. No need.

Pikz · 25/02/2013 21:15

Ocado have normal plus the comfort milks.

Apple what about a waitrose click and collect, they have the liquid which could keep you going til you get powder?

capedcrusader25 · 25/02/2013 21:16

I think it's all brand horsey because of the comfort formula shortage. Eithe people swapping of people panicking it will affect the regular milk so stockpiling. Or a mixture probably.

applepieinthesky · 25/02/2013 21:17

Yes thanks Pikz I might do that. Hopefully this is only a short term problem.

horseylady · 25/02/2013 21:17

Apple/caped worth trying the little coop stores for powder. Most of the ones round here stick sma, aptimal and c&g. People may not realise I was surprised!

ValiumQueen · 25/02/2013 21:27

You could phone stores rather than drive around. They should be happy to check stock and save some for you.

capedcrusader25 · 25/02/2013 21:32

We only live in a small town horsey so not a wide selection of shops but hopefully I'll be getting some delivered, what a nightmare!!

Pikz · 25/02/2013 21:33

Off to bed. VQ am praying you get a repeat of last night.

Sleepy dust for everyone. I am praying for one wake up... Though I'm sure it will be the normal two.

StuntNun · 25/02/2013 21:46

Startling news here, J is asleep in his cot! It may not last for long but he was put in awake with a dummy and is now asleep. This brandy sleepydust is good stuff. DH has gone off in search of chips, not so easy to get hold of in rural County Antrim on a Monday night .

I wonder if a bit more foreplay would help your DH Glenda? Hopefully you just need to get back into the swing of things.

Did anyone's LO have their BCG? J has an appointment for his on Thursday and I'm wondering how sore their arm gets afterwards and whether it scars as badly as when you're older. DS1 and DS2 had theirs last year and it was pretty nasty for a few months, especially DS1's.

Sounds like a nightmare this formula business! Still haven't gotten confirmation of the 4 tubs of aptamil AR I ordered but I did pick up two earlier so that should do us around 10 days I think. I don't know what I'll do if it's not sorted by then esp if normal milk becomes scarce too! I'm sure it won't though, surely?!? If anyone uses normal formula and struggles to get it, I have a sealed c & g first stage if anyone needs it? Yeah I know, I have far too many unopened things! Got it before e had to have reflux milk. No idea when I'm supposed to be trying him on normal milk or if he just stays on AR forever now or what. Guess this production business may decide for me!

evil hope tomorrow is a better day

apple hope your ds is ok bless him

Cuddles to those who had jabs today, hope there's no symptoms for anyone! When are the next ones after the 4 month ones?

I finished the octopus scarf today! All 58cm of it! Just the hat now to go :)

E goes for his monthly pictures tomorrow as he is 16 weeks. Not sure where that went! Don't know what to put him in either, usually I know by now.

Just waiting to do ds's bottle then is lovely bed time. Dp gave ds his bottle at 6:30. Why did he drink it without fussing?!? How unfair!!?!? Shouldn't complain I guess as I had a hot dinner for the first time in forever. Was yummy. Think it's the third time dp has fed ds. I always feed him as I hate the thought of ds doing anyone's nut in with crying or fussing or anything. I am terrible. Dp assures me he will be fine and I should let him share the workload a bit but I don't know, I tend to just get on with it. I get so anxious when anyone else feeds him which is just rediculous really.

Hope there is lots of sleep for us all tonight :) wonder what little vq will manage :)

Kyzordz · 25/02/2013 21:52

Woohoo stunt! FC it's the First of many times in his cot :)

Brockle · 25/02/2013 22:04

stunt all three of mine had the bcg when they were a few months old and the scar is tiny. Y's had hardly come up at all and he had it four weeks ago. good luck vq for tonight. Y's snot has returned so could be in for a fun evening.

applepieinthesky · 25/02/2013 22:14

DP works at our local Twatsco. He just got home and said they don't have any Aptamil first milk either. Going to look at click and collect now. Failing that will go out early tomorrow to find some.

YellowWellies · 25/02/2013 22:15

This formula and IG business is a nightmare - I'd have kittens if there were a shortage of omeperazole Shock Just in time delivery systems make modern life so vulnerable. Am going to stop whinging about clusterfeedathons as that's nowt compared to the stress these shortages are causing. Hope it resolves quickly. The other Mums in the park today reckoned Boots online and Ocado were good resorts for those looking?

kirrinIsland · 25/02/2013 22:17

Yay stunt :)

N just suckered me in good and proper. She fell asleep on me and seemed very settled so i risked a transfer to the pram and she stayed asleep......... For 20 minutes. Just long enough for me to think "success" and risk laying down to sleep myself! She is very snotty, and she's coughing so could be a long night. I feel pretty crap myself :(

daisychain76 · 25/02/2013 22:28

Oh dear kirrin and brockle. I sympathise. H is snotty and his cry is a pathetic croak. He?s quite happy in himself during the day, but woke for a feed every hour or so last night. Quite honeestlu, l can?t see him sleeping through til he?s one. l have visions of being theconlyy sleep deprived one left on the thhread. People keep asking if he?s sleeping through yet and he never goees longer than 3 hours!

Sorry for the moan. Giving myself a good shake now!
