Noooo S is asleep and has been since 2pm, tonight is not going to be good Hmm
Do you think I should wake her up or leave her? She doesn't normally nap this long in the afternoon so she must need it. Don't know why though she slept 12 hours last night

horseylady · 25/02/2013 17:47

It was three jabs and she tried to do them with him sitting on me. Anyway she got the first in but the second two were really difficult :( she just kept kicking. Eventually she got them done. Thankfully she didn't get me!! I was worried she might as he struggled!! She just said 'he's so strong what are we going to do when he has three at one?'

Well thats something to look forward to.....not.....anyway he's calmed down, had a good feed and sleep and now enjoying kicking about nappy free!!

PurplePidjin · 25/02/2013 18:08

2nd set today too, he cried but calmed down in the magic sling. He's been lovely all day though, slept 1 1/2 hours this afternoon so I'm hopeful, tentatively, for the night.

Dp has dropped the daytime nap and, while he's shattered by 7, is sleeping properly at night. His voice is slowly unfreezing, he got up to watch the footy on sunday, and he's enquired about a couple of jobs. Anti d's are working for him, it seems.

Just got social services to deal with on Tuesday now

Pikz · 25/02/2013 18:25

Eeek off to gym daddy in charge of bedtime. Not sure if more scared of exercise or them having better time without me!

ChunkyChicken · 25/02/2013 18:30

My boobs feel Dolly Parton-esque now, after 3.5hrs!! Shock Bloody growth spurt... Hmm

fatima iirc, asking about supply... DS is 15wks. I'm still leaking at night if its a longer gap but less so during feeds. I too was hoping for things to settle down sooner than this.

I think I definitely view DD's early months with rose-tinted specs, and she's only 2.10, so I imagine its easy if its been 20 or 30yrs!! So I don't remember the Dolly boobs at this age either (but I guess as she wasn't sleeping through, it must have been even later before they settled iyswim Confused).

horseylady · 25/02/2013 18:41

pp great news for your dp. These were thankfully our final set!!!

ChunkyChicken · 25/02/2013 20:00

I am a BAD MUMMY. I left DS propped up on the sofa against the cushions to speak to DH who was in the loft. I was gone a couple of mins when DD comes up the stairs saying "Aaron falled off". I said "Oh, did he slip down?" & leisurely made my way downstairs. No. He hadn't just slipped down on the cushions. He was laying, face down on the carpet, perpendicular to the sofa!!! Blush He was alright actually - making his 'I'm pissed off being on my tummy' noise rather than crying. Shock

Do I get a prize? Grin

YellowWellies · 25/02/2013 20:01

horsey I'm dreading the third set of jags - he goes mental at two injections, three is going to make him go nuclear! Something to look forward to next week...

What a gorgeous sunny day. Made the most of it with my sister taking the kids for a nice long walk. Now the spring nights are here I'm itching to get running again on an evening. I love it at this time of year in the dusk listening to birdsong.

Just need Jonas to get through the 4 month growth spurt and give me a bit of evening back.

woooo he's just unlatched - asleep. This is record breakingly early compared to the last fortnight. OMG - could we be out the other side? Shock

ChunkyChicken · 25/02/2013 20:05

How old is he now YW & when did he start? I'm looking for some reassurance given DS is only 15+1 & been 'regression-ing' since 14+3... Wink

BigPigLittlePig · 25/02/2013 20:06

Feel a bit ropey tonight, not sure if it's tiredness or impending viral doom. Attempted to declutter a bit today, house looks worse than ever before. I keep reminding myself that the mess has to get worse before it gets better....right??!

capedcrusader25 · 25/02/2013 20:23

O had hers today horsey and screamed and shook something awful. Never heard her make that noise before!! Poor girl.
Our Tesco has sold out of regular c&g stage 1 milk Shock I'm thinking those who use comfort milk may be buying the regular stuff and people who use the regular stuff maybe stockpiling in case the shortage affects that milk too. Which is great except I need milk!!! Angry

YellowWellies · 25/02/2013 20:24

Chunky he's 18 weeks tomorrow but was a month early. His sleep regression lasted about a week to 10 days. It was shit at the time but thankfully brief and he now sleeps through 5 nights out of 7 so was worth the pain! Its the feeding that's mad. He's just been feeding like a creature possessed for the last ten days....

ValiumQueen · 25/02/2013 20:27

Thank you all for your positive words Grin I am not expecting the same tonight but I am hoping for similar. I have felt fab today and achieved so much.

I have caught up but have forgotten everything said.

I have also realised I forgot to take J for his jags on the 14th. Oops! I will take him Thursday. I hate jags, but am so glad we have them. I found the pre-school ones were the worst. The look on her face, and the words 'how could you let them do that to me mummy? still ring in my ears.

In relation to yesterday, I did nothing different.

I am showered and de-fuzzed and in the mood for lurve! What a difference a night's sleep makes Grin

ValiumQueen · 25/02/2013 20:32

glenda if a fella takes a while to get to the finishing line, it is more likely something psychological rather than physical that is hindering them. We tend to think that with blokes it is all about the physical, but they do have emotions too, apparently. There could be a multitude of reasons why this is happening. As you say it all feels fine down there, and you were happy with things, so I really doubt you have a bucket for a fanny. I agree best to talk about things. And remember, practice makes perfect Grin

Evilwater · 25/02/2013 20:39

Well I'm tucking into some ice cream as N has been a grumpy pant all fucking day. He didn't sleep well, and boy do I know about it.
He's had a bath, so I'm hoping it will put all to rights. I can't believe it, he was sleeping from 8-8. Now hes up all night at least once every hour. Sad

Ill read the posts.
Evil

capedcrusader25 · 25/02/2013 20:42

Oh bloody hell. And our Tesco express and our spar. And mothercare online Shock
Starting to panic!

ChunkyChicken · 25/02/2013 20:52

Thanks YW. I remember he was early as we had the same EDD :) There is hope...

Thanks BPLP Grin And yes, it gets worse before it gets better it better bloody do

evil DS was waking once in 11-12hrs, for a feed, end of, since about 10wks. He now wakes every couple of hrs. I feel your pain.

YellowWellies · 25/02/2013 20:59

He must have heard me - unlatched and asleep by 8.20! Shock Mr Yellow Wellies might also get lucky tonight!

applepieinthesky · 25/02/2013 21:01

I think you are right about the panic buying caped. I can't find any Aptamil first milk in our area. Shit.

capedcrusader25 · 25/02/2013 21:02

I've just had to order some off boots online to be delivered Friday so I'm hoping it actually does arrive. Really starting to worry a bit!

applepieinthesky · 25/02/2013 21:03

What am I gonna do? He's got upset stomach as it is. I can't go changing his milk!

MissMummy1 · 25/02/2013 21:04

12 week growth spurt hell Sad. I feel a bit weepy today. No reason why. Bloody hormones. MrMummy is out at sea so no chance of loving either Sad.

Woe is me! Hugs to those who need them. Lots of sleepy dust (hopefully Matilda will get some too). Tomorrow will be a better day! Smile

capedcrusader25 · 25/02/2013 21:07

:( Maybe look online at boots it mothercare or online shopping - Tesco, sainsburys, etc? This is slightly ridiculous and scary!

Pikz · 25/02/2013 21:09

Apple/caped try ocado...
