oooh, enjoy contra Envy

Am pretty sure DS is my last. We have 2, there is also DSD, we cant afford our life as it is. The sensible position is that we're done. But, but, but... It seems so final to know that each time DS outgrows something, that's it, not being used by anymore babies of ours.

MissMummy1 · 23/02/2013 16:55

Antibiotics for staphyloccocal skin infection apple Sad Getting them into her is an absolute bugger

PetiteRaleuse · 23/02/2013 17:02

Suddenly felt tired at lunchtime and went for a nap. Woke up five hours later with a temperature, sore throat and achy back. Just when I thought we had had an illness free week... Bastard flu. Hope LO doesn't get it. Crap.

TheDetective · 23/02/2013 17:07

Horsey Saw these, and thought of you! Horseys for Horsey!

Fatima Happy 1/4 of a year birthdays to our babies!

I was working out last night, I got my BFP on 22nd Feb, but didn't believe it til I did a CB digital on 23rd, as I had had BFP's the previous 2 months on the same days that just became periods :(

My LMP was 2nd Feb, so I knew for definiate at 3 weeks pregnant! And he was 20 days late. That means I knew I was pregnant for 10 months! Fucking hell!!! Longest pregnancy ever!

I would like a 2 year gap if I could manage it, but I can't. So tell me about your lovely 3.5 year gaps and make me feel better! I want O to grow up with a sibling, but worry that the gap is a little too big IYKWIM.

DS1 is a cheeky fucker, he just asked when was the last time someone cleaned his walls!!!! I asked what he meant and he said because there are cobwebs!! Ha. Bloody clean them yourself then, cheeky sod! He can reach now he has a high sleeper!

Was browsing on Mothercares website looking for a double pram that MIL has just bought for O and her other grandchild who is 6 months older crazy nutter saying she will have both of them at the same time!! and came across this crazy contraption. Seriously, am I missing something here, or is this spectacularly shit, and the price, omg! THE PRICE!!!! double pushchair!

gardenpixie32 · 23/02/2013 17:23

Had lovely day out. Pizza Express for lunch, shopping and great chat with good friend. Got some bargains for the girls in Gap, they had a big sale on. A big bag of clothes for 44 pounds.

DP took them out for a long walk and I came home to two happy smiley babies. He gets stopped a lot by other men who tell him he is very brave bringing two babies out on his own. He loves it Grin

VQ It would only be fair for a late sleep regression. They are been far to happy and contented!

FatimaLovesBread · 23/02/2013 17:27

Impressed with your long pregnancy detective
I started my LMP on 17th Feb, had eggs collected and embryos made on 2nd March and the little blastocyst that was to become M put back in on 7th March, got my first BFP on 12th March even though I wasn't meant to test until 19th Smile
Can't believe I've got a photo of M as a five day old embryo

PurplePidjin · 23/02/2013 17:28

One year tomorrow i started my last period Shock

applepieinthesky · 23/02/2013 17:33

Poor thing MM. Why doesn't he want her to take them? Sad

That sounds crap PR. Hope you are better soon Thanks

DS was born exactly 9 months after Valentines day but not sure when he was conceived. Could have been then. I found out around the 13th of March and we kept it secret until the 1st of May. Longest 7 weeks of my life.

FatimaLovesBread · 23/02/2013 17:34

I priced up the srokke xplory for a laugh, if I had all matching add ons including winter kit and summer kit and carseat and carrycot
It would have been over £2k for a single pushchair that looks like a space ages office chair according to DH

£250 for the winter kit! £135 for the bag to put the pram in! £210 for the sheep skin liner! £150 for the bastard footmuff

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2013 17:46

That Stokke does not look particularly sensible. Not much fun for the baby under the carrycot.

horseylady · 23/02/2013 18:04

I don't like the stokke.

Omg I will buy those sleep suits!!!! I need some more!! Hehehe thanks!!

Erm I have No idea when I ovulated. I did have implantation pains. Someone at work said 'implantation pains' when I complained. I think i said 'no they're a myth anyway don't get my hopes up as we maybe needing ivf later this year'. We didn't!! Randomly a month later she said 'did you come on' and I said 'no'. I can't lie!!!

Sophiathecheesefairy · 23/02/2013 18:10

That stokke is stupidity itself. Is more expensive than the Donkey and notas nice looking. The undercarriage looks really claustrophobic, particularly with the pram bit on top. P&T better idea with the flat cocoon underneath.

I didn't get my BFP till 2nd March conceived on 14th though! Grin

Has anyone ears about the formula shortage?

Also, keep forgetting to ask, ha anyone tried the box tots nappies in Tesco?

applepieinthesky · 23/02/2013 18:11

Don't like the look of the Stokke. DS would scream if I put him in the carrycot at the bottom. He likes to see what's going on.

horseylady · 23/02/2013 18:12

Formula shortage?! Oh no :( I only buy it as I need it. Do I need to stockpile?! Mind you I was planning on moving onto stage 2 around 6months anyway. Is that in short supply too?

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2013 18:15

It is the comfort formula. Problem with production.

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/02/2013 18:21

I've been in pizza express for lunch too garden I had my DD's with me though. Luckily E slept the whole time and DD1 was actually good considering we were in there over 2 hours.

Apart from going to the hospital to drop in E's urine sample and popping to the shops that's all I've done and I'm bloody knackered! Trying to watch the rugby but my eyes keep closing! Got to get to bed earlier tonight, have been staying up too late.

stunt hugs. Hope you are ok.

PurplePidjin · 23/02/2013 18:21

Sophia, i use a mix of easyfits (the all in one type available in tesco), pocket style nappies and another aio type called Realeasy by Hip Hip Baby for daytime. Easyfits are great, very slim and room for extra boosting if needed. I get 4-5 hours from one. They're very expensive imo, my realeasies were £6 each from www.babykind.co.uk

I've also got a couple of bamboozles for overnight, they go 8-9 hours under fleece or PUL :)

Sophiathecheesefairy · 23/02/2013 18:22

Ahhhh. So if you were using comfort would you use standard or swap to comfort in a different brand?

GTbaby · 23/02/2013 18:23

Thanks Shelley !
Apple I feel awful. Sick. Yuk. Tiered. Don't be envious. Ill have two in nappies.

When discussing sleeping arrangements with DH he suggested dc1 & and dc2 use same cot, opposite ends... "So you think we should put a 1yr old crawling toddler, who will potentially be jealous , who will be capable of hitting and standing in a cot over night with a newborn child? Really? You think that's a good idea?"
DH- "prob not"
Wink Stupid man.

I remember a friend telling me she bought a phil n ted double with her dc1 as she knew she wanted a small gap(18month I think it was in the end). N laughed to DH in mothercare when we were looking that we should consider it....(half joking).

I don't think we need much. Just the bed situation needs some thought... Shame you can't get a tandem bed type thing.

TheDetective · 23/02/2013 18:26

I don't stock pile it, in case at any point I need to change it. I buy one, and have one extra at home in case. And 3 ready made cartons.

Horsey you don't need to change it at 6 months unless you want to. Follow on is just a marketing tool for manufacturers to get around the no advertising thing. You are just as well to stay with first stage. Your HV can tell you a lot more, just ask them next time you see them. :)

Sophia I looked at them, but they were more expensive than the own brand ones I get elsewhere. Confused. I think they just make the big boxes so people think they will be good value for money. I don't like to pay more than 10p a nappy. I like a bargain. Grin

At the minute we pay £3.19 for 42. So well less than 10p per nappy. That is the Asda ones. He is still in size 2.

Fatima I find it funny that our babies are the same age, and same weight, or they were when I last had O weighed, don't know if M has been weighed since? Yet he is straining out the 0-3, and 3-6 gives a better fit now, even if it is huge around the middle! And M is just in to 0-3. Silly sizing! And we get our clothes from similar places! Bloody strange shape my child!

horseylady · 23/02/2013 18:27

Erm not sure what I'd do?! If using powder I guess I'd mix for a bit? Maybe try a different brand?! I'd possibly go out and buy lots!!

Sma comfort?

horseylady · 23/02/2013 18:28

Oh ok detective. Thought the follow on had additional iron? That was my thought for changing.

TheDetective · 23/02/2013 18:31

Bunk cots eh GT. Duuuuuuuh @DH!! How silly are they sometimes! Honestly... engage brain!

Is the cyclizine helping?

I keep remembering how awful it was, and there is no way on this earth I could do it with a little one :( It is one of the few reasons I want a 3.5 year age gap. I was so wiped out, and the vomiting... oh god, the vomiting. Can't even bare to think about it. I hope it buggers off quickly! Take my hat off to you. I don't know how you are managing!

Sophia I'd change to another brand probably.

TheDetective · 23/02/2013 18:32

Since seeing physio I have been doing PF's 3 times a day, long and short ones.

I feel worse.

How can that be?

I've gone back to crying in pain Confused. The pain actually woke me up last night. It was like I'd been kicked in the arse.

Fucking fanjo!!

Sophiathecheesefairy · 23/02/2013 18:32

dH has just bought some SMA comfort but I am warey (sp) of changing over in growth spurt week (which is why he is on it) and when we are going to ILs on Sun. Could be a complete disaster. Will check out Waitrose in the morning I think
