GT I have this concern too - it is not just you. P can be awake for an hour I reckon without actually needing us there. Mind you - during the day I can't leve her alone despite the fact she doesn't want to actually sit on me. Weirdo

applepieinthesky · 22/02/2013 23:49

GT and pass You should count yourselves lucky that you have very content babies. I wouldn't worry about it.

Passmethecrisps · 23/02/2013 00:03

For sure apple. It just goes to show that there really is not end to the things we worry about

daisychain76 · 23/02/2013 00:17

Chunky there is also grizzly bear ~ cave~ wave!

On the food front, today l have made 24 coconut cherry muffins, 15 choc brownie cupcakes, 20 buns and a large cake for H?s christening on Sunday. Only stopped cos rann out of caster sugar. Feel all domesric godess~y for once.

StuntNun · 23/02/2013 00:26

Detective we make Cheesy Chickpea Enchiladas. Fry a sliced (red) onion, sliced pepper, can of chickpeas, can of tomatoes, bit of tomato puree, chilli powder and/or sweet chilli sauce, ground cumin, ground coriander, black pepper and coriander leaf if you have it. Cook over a highish heat so it thickens a little. Then roll up in fajitas, sprinkle grated cheese on and pop under the grill to melt the cheese. Serve with sour cream or natural yoghurt or creme fraiche. Very yummy and low fat if you don't use too much cheese.

Contradictionincarnate · 23/02/2013 02:07

think daisy you win foody Friday!! Smile can you cater for dd's christening?

StuntNun · 23/02/2013 03:02

Where's the rest of the night shift then? J fed at 8, 11:30, now we're on the second feed since 2:30. I had a nap at 8:30 and DS2 woke me two or three times in 40 minutes so I had to give up on that. I may not survive the weekend. Confused

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2013 03:42

I am here stunt sorry about your poo night. J slept from 10 to 3.30 so well chuffed. I am beginning to dare things might be getting better.

GT just be grateful. Chances are your next baby may be less chilled.

Thank you for the additional verses, I will endeavour to incorprocate them into my repertoir.

Cannot remember nuffin else. Sorry.

ChunkyChicken · 23/02/2013 04:03

Why? Why? Why?!!!! Why has he stopped sleeping properly? He keeps stirring & making noise, building up to quite a level quite quickly (although not full on crying/screaming) when his dummy has fallen out. He isn't hungry as he accepts the dummy & I refuse to feed him just for him to unlatch & both of us get covered in milk. I know lots of people have had this since birth or for weeks, but he was SO good!!! Please say this is the sleep regression thing so I have hope that it will pass. I can't do the waking every 1.5hrs ALL NIGHT LONG much more!!!

Tits Apple stunt ((hugs))

VQ hope tonight is the start of something good...

daisy excellent!! 7 verses now? I'll have to write them down... Grin

evil glad your MIL was on your side about nursery.

missL kirrin contra have you tried just putting them down awake? My DS often stirs on transfer but will thankfully given his current night time behaviour settle himself to sleep if he's full & warm, sometimes needing a dummy. If they're crying, that's different obviously...

DS is off AGAIN :(

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2013 04:17

chunky I forget how old your LO is, but if over 15 weeks or so, it will be sleep regression although usually involves growth spurt too.

J took an hour to feed and settle again. Thank goodness for MINUTE and you guys. He will be 4 months old tomorrow.

My left boobie is sore. Blocked duct. Has happened a few times but usually eases quicker. He hates my left one as it is not a good milker at all.

ChunkyChicken · 23/02/2013 04:18

This explains it all I really, really hope it doesn't last for MONTHS, like another site said :(, just a couple of weeks...

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2013 04:18

MN not fucking MINUTE fucking auto correct.

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2013 04:19

Cannot link as on phone chunky will look in morning. Hope you get some rest! X

ChunkyChicken · 23/02/2013 04:22

Thanks VQ. He's only 14+6 today but he's been a tad early on spurts etc. Read the site I've just linked to & its spot on (fussy, not seeming to want feeding, grumpy etc) so guess he will be wanting more feeds soon too... Sorry about the boob. Feed first on that one & heat etc. Hope it gets better soon.

glendathefedupwitch · 23/02/2013 05:54

The shittest night ever!!!

She went down as normal at 10 until dd1 woke up with a fucking night terror wish they would fuck the fuck off screaming so woke her up

There then followed 3 fucking hours of trying to get the baby to sleep - I tried everything and was ready to leave her crying all fucking night when I got her another ff - 1oz and she crashed!!! All that fucking drama for one fucking ounce!!! Finally get her asleep and transferred at 3am and am now awake with her again noooooooooo not 2 fucking hours sleep - I need 7!! Dh goes to the loo doesn't even acknowledge her and goes the fuck back to sleep - twat!!!!!

I'm staying in bed all fucking day and he can have the baby and do the housework and go shopping and make dinner !!! Twat!!!

I'm full of snot and got a shitty headache and feeling very woe is me

Apologies for the rant Shock

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2013 06:20

(Cautiously gives glenda a hug) hope you get your day in bed and feel better soon.

DS woke again after 2 hours, screamed, but will not feed as keeps going to sleep literally as soon as he clamps on. I have put him down again and he is yowling. Hope he self settles before he wakes the girls.

Very good night. One waking as I class 6am as morning.

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2013 06:29

He carried on yowling and is now feeding. Rascal.

DH has a rare weekend off and wants to go out for the day as a family. I would like to try to sort the house, go shopping, put laundry away etc. All the stuff I do not get time to do when I am home with three kids. Grr!

TheDetective · 23/02/2013 06:59

chunky feeling your pain! We have had 3 weeks of sleep regression. The last 2 nights finally seem to have bought calm.

He has just done 10-5.30 but only fed at 6.30. Slept a little fitfully on me til then.

Baby steps... Baby steps!'

I haven't done anything differently. But he has. He suddenly decided 7.30 was his bedtime. Sadly the dog fucked that one up last night.

Contrary little buggers aren't they? Hmm

Glenda know the feeling. 1oz after fussing and crying and sounding like the world is ending. It's like WTF?!! All that, for THIS!!

Okay. Feed done. Back to sleep!

cacacaz yes please!

Loving the recipes thank you! Cherry coconut cakes OMG they sound like heaven!

TheDetective · 23/02/2013 07:00

VQ well fucking done J! 5.5 hours is amazing!

horseylady · 23/02/2013 07:37

Well done j for not being so bad!!! Vq I only have one ds and still don't get the laundry away. I think this adds my not being able to have more than one theory.

Have good days peeps!!!

glendathefedupwitch · 23/02/2013 07:45

Thank you vq though a hug might send me over the edgy into a blubbering mess!! Dh is exactly the same - weekends are his downtime and he either wants to go out for the day as a family or he spends the whole day playing on ps3 while I carry on doing laundry, tidying, shopping, cooking..... Twat!!!! I'm going to divorce him for wearing earplugs - he says its cos I snore!!!! Twat!!!! What about his fucking walrus snoring?? Twat!!! Oh how I'd love to say that to his face but there's no point he won't change!!!

Recipes sound delicious but I hate cooking - it's a chore!!! If you could all send me enough for a family of four - I would pay you well!!!

Plonked Dottie in front of post man pat while the cup of tea and co codomol work on my headache!!!

detective out lab lies in door ways and is chocolate coloured so invisible!!! Times I've nearly tripped over the fat moose!!! She too is a Hoover for all spillages - she's gonna have a field day when Dottie starts on finger foods!!!

I'm so tempted to book a holiday in the sun on dh's credit card - but that would definitely spell divorce!!!

kirrinIsland · 23/02/2013 07:50

Brilliant VQ Looks like you might be getting there!

chunky Putting her down awake in the cot really doesn't work - she gets upset and wound up instantly. But I'm trying in the pram in the evening and that seems to be going ok. And she took a dummy last night! not sure if I'm creating another problem though? I was hoping if I could create some good habits there - I.e. Settling herself to sleep in the pram with a dummy - I could then try again in the cot and she'd be ok. But I may end up with a baby who'll only sleep in the pram! Wish it were possible to rock a cot...

I understand your frustration chunky Hopefully you're suffering a minor blip and he'll go back to his usual habits soon.

glenda and stunt sympathies too - hope you manage to catch up on some sleep today.

Sophiathecheesefairy · 23/02/2013 07:53

Good job J!

DH has taken boys for Saturday Costa. Mummy Fairy feeling fed up in bed as am still bleeding and now have terrible pelvic pain.

Sausages an coffee I think.

kirrinIsland · 23/02/2013 07:56

Our dogs love toddler feeding time - it's like all their Christmases have come at once Grin I call them the Canine Cleaning Team and it's brilliant - send them in, and then a quick wipe of the floor and you're done, I recommend it. I can't imagine having to clean up the mess she makes myself.

glenda I'd be using his card to book myself a spa break if I were you. A swift kick up the arse is needed. When do you get a break?
