That fucking DOG!!!!

Raging. She tripped me up with a plate full of dinner and the commotion woke O.

Angry does not describe me right now!!

We waited til after he went asleep so we could try and have tea together. Yet again. Another meal fucked up.

Fucking fucking bastard dog. She can sleep in the hall tonight. GRRR.

Bet she just wanted me to drop the plate because she knows she gets to clean it up. Hmm

Evilwater · 22/02/2013 20:51

Well foodie Friday, tonight I cooked pork Hungarian style with rice.

Been a good day, I've talked to MIL and she agreed with me that N needs to go to nursey. We have had a nice day at home, but he cried a bit from 5.

I've also complained to my drs about that receptionist. I got a phone call back, and it was the manger and she apologised! Grin I can't believe she wouldn't give me a appointment unless I told her! This seems to be a trend with receptionists.
I'm also booked in for a coil. At last, no pills. Any opinions/experiances on weather I should have the copper one or the one with the hormone?

applepieinthesky · 22/02/2013 21:26

Good on you evil. What is it about bloody receptionists thinking they know it all?

I have had a very grumpy little boy today which isn't like him at all. He has had terrible diarrhoea for a week now so it's understandable but I hate seeing him so upset. The doctor thinks he has just picked up a virus but we are waiting for some test results to come back to rule out an infection. I called today but they're not back yet so I'll be fretting over it all weekend now Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 22/02/2013 21:27

:( keep an eye out for signs of dehydration won't you. Hope he gets better soon.

Evilwater · 22/02/2013 21:29

Apple- I understand that they need to prioritise, but if someone says "I'd rather not say" surely they could say is it urgent or routine? Any way I was very impressed with the call back.

applepieinthesky · 22/02/2013 21:37

He is still drinking as normal so that's a relief. The doctor said to take him back straight away if that changes or he starts vomiting which I would of course. He is teething as well so has that to deal with on top. Poor mite.

Titsalinabumsquash · 22/02/2013 21:38

Argh! J has cried for the last few days, well actually it's just shouting and thrashing about, he will not be put down and I'm slowly losing the plot Hmm

Evilwater · 22/02/2013 21:41

Oh no tits!
Thinking of you apple.

MissMummy1 · 22/02/2013 21:44

Remember my rant about the ignorant dinosaur/pervert in the docs surgery the other day? Well turns out it's caused them to review their policy. I told my aunt (the only normal receptionist!) and she discussed it with my gp - mortified doesn't cover it Blush - but turns out in future all any woman made to feel uncomfortable while bfing has to do is mention it to staff and the perpetrator will be asked to leave the waiting room! Grin

Still embarassed my aunt didnt seem to think I was capable of sticking up for myself and said as much to my gp. Hmm I am famous in my family for being quite shouty and riteous Blush

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 22/02/2013 21:48

Phew, I've finally caught up! I've been at my parents for two nights in Wales with my two girls. Little B slept 12 hours while we were away, 7.30-7.30, tonight she won't settle at all.

I've read so much over the last two hours I can't remember what I was going to comment on. Hope everyone has a restful night.

Kyzordz · 22/02/2013 21:51

Hope he feels better soon apple

Cor I've had a cracking headache all day, it won't sod off!

detective I'm forever tripping over the dogs, bloody critters are always underfoot! You'll get a meal in peace one day hopefully! Takes so much planning though doesn't it!

Glad E wasn't admitted eliza

I forget what else I wanted to say as per effing usual!

Trying to stay awake long enough to feed e, was gonna feed him at about 10:15, not long now. One of these days I'll be brave enough to just go to sleep and let him wake me when he's hungry, see what happens!

Hope everyone has a lovely sleep filled night tonight :) I shall be persuading e to have a lie in tomorrow morning I think I hope

Evilwater · 22/02/2013 22:04

Right off to bed! I Deffo need it.
Off to see my nan, and hear the words "oh he's grown!" And all the other usual weekend things. I'm hoping for a warmer day tomorrow, as I'm itching for a walk, that won't turn me into a ice cube.

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/02/2013 22:16

apple sorry he is poorly. Hope he gets better soon.

tits poor j and poor you!

Hugs to you both.

E is such a little minx. Seems like she's sussed what I'm trying to do and as soon as the milk starts flowing from the tube she unlatches. I'm doing exactly the same thing as I did yesterday. Luckily at the moment I'm laughing. What a tinker.

Re nursery rhymes and songs, DD1's faves are wind the bobbin up, twinkle twinkle, dingle dangle scarecrow, wheels on the bus and row the boat. I was having a conversation with my friends about kiddie music. A lot of my friends put nursery CDs on in their cars. I refuse to put them on, although to be fair DD1 never asks. My car is my sanctuary and I think it would drive me insane if I constantly had to put twiddley kiddie music on. She likes listening to the radio but objected when I put my 90's dance anthems cd on and said it was just noise Grin

GTbaby · 22/02/2013 22:18

Ok. I'm going to sound loony. But can your baby be to good.
He had a bit of a tantrum earlier when mil had him. Tried calming him down didn't work. Changed his clothes and nappy. Tried feeding. Bouncy chair. Play mat. My room. Put him in his crib and walked out.
He hasn't been like this in a while so was strange even for half an hour. So left him calmed down a bit. Still kinda moaning. So go bk in 20 manage to feed him. Then left. As is usual as he normally falls asleep. But today I went bk up maybe 45min later and he is awake sucking his thumb looking at his Mobil. Quite happy just alone.

A few times I've gone in in the morning and he is the same, awake n just chilling. Now starting to wonder how long he does this for before he starts calling.

Am I crazy for worrying that my baby is happy being alone? I mean am I not affectionate enough? I'm starting to think all crazy things. I've messed my baby up!
He does laugh n smile n make eye contact with me and other ppl do he doesn't dislike contact with ppl.
Ok I think I'm going crazy Hmm

TheDetective · 22/02/2013 22:18

Nick nack paddy whack is a good one for actions!

Bloody he'll YouTube has a lot to answer for. There are some scary terrible versions of nursery rhymes on there! With wrong words grrr! The wheels on the bus go round and round all day long. Not the wheels of the bus go round and round all round the town. Angry

Poor O is very confused after our youtubing! We stuck with Disney classics after that. Can't go wrong with a bit of Disney!

Pissed off with the dog still. O been unsettled all evening and has spent the last hour wide awake after we spent the previous 90 minutes settling him. Angry

Dog is on boring dog food only tomorrow. Hmpfffffffff.

TheDetective · 22/02/2013 22:22

O gets a bit of Disney in the car because I like it! We counter that with some Aerosmith, ACDC, Biffy Clyro, Green Day, Metallica, Queen etc. He gets a wide variation! Grin

TheDetective · 22/02/2013 22:23

GT he sounds just perfect! Stop fretting! Everyone, even babies, needs a little time alone just to be!

Contradictionincarnate · 22/02/2013 22:32

gt I think that too my dd squeaks and I think I will get up in a min next thing I know its been over an hour

dd seems quite content on her own on playmat which I thought was good as allows me to get a shower and has let me express for 30 mins every morning this week but then I feel bad she doesn't like being entertained by me ... Sad
she loves her dad entertaining her though he sings all sorts of rap take that etc ...
I wish I could go to a rhyme class or something but can't drive and trying to get buses etc very awkward! (they wouldn't go straight there may need to transfer etc).

misslaughalot · 22/02/2013 22:35

GT I often wake up in the morning to find babylaughalot smiling at the ceiling or her hands, and I'll have no idea how long she's been awake for!

Ugh, this baby will not sleep though! 2hrs 20 mins since I brought her upstairs and she's been feeding for most of that time. Is this 12 week growth spurt behaviour, she's 12+2?

Also why can I bounce her around in her pram on the crap pavements around here and she'll stay asleep, but moving gently and slowly from our bed to her basket, all of 20cm away, makes her go from snoozing to instantly awake?!!

horseylady · 22/02/2013 22:36

Hello!! Taken me all day to catch up.

Good to hear about good babies!! And famous people.

Sorry about lost dinners etc. and bad teeth,

I've been reading different countries weaning guidelines because I have nothing better to do......it's very interesting!! In most countries they would be advising I weaned him in the next couple of weeks. Pretty much the uk and USA advise later.

Contradictionincarnate · 22/02/2013 22:48

dh giving dd formula as she was really fussing on boob like the good ol days ... I could regret this!

PetiteRaleuse · 22/02/2013 22:52

Strange. About an hour ago LO was asleep in her pram and woke screaming. Ok, last feed time. I try that, no. Nappy change, no, still screaming with real tears and a very angry face. A jiggly session on knee, tears and accusatory face.

So I say, right don't know what you want, off to bed with you.

Not a peep since. She just wanted her bed. I love her. Not sure she'll last the night without a feed but hey, it's Friday, DH can deal with that but screaming to go to bed? I like. Wish DD1 would be as interested in sleeping.

Cacacaz · 22/02/2013 22:59

detective I love Chinese 5 spice chicken and tandoori chicken. I don't have my recipe book right now, gave it to my DM the other day. Let me know if you want the recipes. Have also heard chicken with fantastic orange is lovely and very like Chinese sweet and sour.

I took M to the doctors this morning, he has a cough and cold, apparently justviralamdnothing to worry about. I did think the cough had gone into his chest. Doctor was lovely and didn't treat me like the paranoid Mum I am.

We sing lots of songs in the house, Nursery rhymes galore from me < 12 years working with children to thank for that> and DH makes up songs. The current favourite appears to be Mummies milk, mummies milk I love mummies milk, which results in the cutest little giggle. In the car we listen to either the radio, Rihanna, Fun ora bookbug Cd from the library.

MM good to hear the surgery are reviewing their policy.

GT I think you are over thinking it, he is obviously happy and would soon let you know otherwise

Applei hope lo feels better soon, it's horrible when they are ill isn't it.

kirrinIsland · 22/02/2013 23:07

miss laugh I feel your pain. n seems to have cot radar. She will be totally asleep (blow on her face, pick up and drop an arm and no reaction asleep) but awakes as soon as I lower her into the cot. She often doesn't even reach the mattress before her eyes ping open! It's so frustrating.

She is, however, asleep in her pram right now, and has been for over an hour. This is the first evening I have had 2 free arms in over 14 weeks!

tits and apple sympathy to you both. Hope the weekend is better for you.

Contradictionincarnate · 22/02/2013 23:21

miss my dd too kirrin pram/cot alert is a good term ... my dd is asleep now let's see what happens!
