I just ate a banana while bfing J so up yours Detective's mum's husband. Wink

Good luck at the GP today MM.

I can't wait to hear how the weaning goes PR. Are you the first to start? I'm quite looking forward to it as I think J will be easier than his big brothers. I suspect the dog (Lab) will enjoy the weaning stage too but not as much as she likes toddlers who wander about shedding bits of biscuit wherever they go.

Lovely to hear about the triplets Garden, what a challenge they will be. I have a friend with triplet boys and I think he found them a handful and a delight at the same time. He's certainly number one proud dad.

CC The band size smaller meant that the cups didn't fit properly. My boobs are good but a bugger to fit properly.

DS has slept badly since our road trip last week. He is only dropping off with help now and waking a lot with reflux. The zantac doesn't seem to be touching the sides poor lamb and is massively spewie with vile acid spew. I miss my sleepy baby who would take lovely 3 hour naps.

kissyfur · 18/02/2013 09:28

Morning all, here's something to make you laugh... I got DD1 up and dressed and all the way to Playgroup this morning before I realised it was half term! what a donut I am

Off to catch up on the thread now

BigPigLittlePig · 18/02/2013 09:29

I'm treating myself to a guilty pleasure today - Jeremy Kyle Grin The height of trashy daytime tv but I love it!

Dh just phoned to tell me we had debt collectors at the door - not for us but the previous tenants. This happened to us in our last house too, but this house is lovely in a beautiful area - just goes to show that you can't guess at who has money problems.

Triplets = 3x the sleepness nights & poonamis BUT 3x the love, 3x the joy, 3x the smiles.

PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2013 09:33

With the different guidelines here I assume I am the first to start. If it goes anything like DD1 the first couple of attempts will be her tongue pushing the food out and then getting upset because she wanted to try it but doesn't know how. My dog will certainly enjoy weaning. He still follows DD1 around when he thinks she might be feeling generous with her food.

dd1 was on 98th centile from birth until she fell ill in Decmber and dropped to 75. I'm not sure where she is now. We have never been made to think we might be overfeeding her, except by a total hypochondriac who thinks if they sneeze they will obviously be seriously ill. Mentioning no names.

Lovely sunny day here. The sunrise was incredible. Just trying to see if LO will have a nap so i can shower and iron.

Passmethecrisps · 18/02/2013 10:02

Doh kissy! At least you are all up and about though.

Poor p seems to have had a cold relapse. She wants to sleep but is snotty. Mind you, I am wondering if DH might have caused a problem by spraying his deodorant in the living room where she was sleeping. She woke up coughing and then had a crying fit for ages not knowing what to do with herself. She is now in her basket staring at Ewan. I've asked DH not to spray near her again as I think she choked on it a bit.

Passmethecrisps · 18/02/2013 10:04

PR I have taken to taking P with me for showers. She sits in the bouncer and watches.

YellowWellies · 18/02/2013 10:09

Today feels like its going to be a good one. We're going to put an offer in on that house! Jonas Bear slept til 7.30. The sun is shining. DH has the next two days off. Am v excited at the prospect of a second viewing today - what should I be looking out for?

PR good luck with the weaning. The French way makes much more sense to me - its the way I'd like to do it. Sadly with DS reflux we've been told to wait til 6 months minimum / or when the tongue thrust anti-choking reflex disappears as he is more vulnerable to choking. He is fascinated when we eat now so waiting another 9 weeks is going to drag - though I know his tum is so sensitive its the best thing for us. I'd love to hear what foods you try and how you do it over there Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2013 10:39

Well I've bought carrots, sweet potatoes, apples and pears so far, so they will be the first things we try. I'm just going to puree and freeze them into tiny baby portions.

Loved the house by the way. (It was you wasn't it)

PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2013 10:40

Pass no space in the bathroom. I'd have to leave the door open and if I do that I get an audience from the cats andnthe dig gets excited and tries to come in with me bitter experience

PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2013 10:41

*dog, not dig. I don't have an archaeological dig hanging round. That would be awkward inthos circulstances.

Passmethecrisps · 18/02/2013 10:43

Busy bathroom with all those bearded historians knocking about!

Just room for the bouncer - poor sausage needs to b straddled by me getting dried!

Good luck with the offer YW!

Catbag · 18/02/2013 10:44

PR Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2013 10:54

Ooh looks like my ipad has taken some random executive decisions wrt to spelling this morning.

BigPigLittlePig · 18/02/2013 10:56

Many a time I have tried to have a bath, first the cat joins me. Then dsd will wander in for a poo, when done she returns with various barbies who want to go diving, then LO wakes up and dh brings her up. Peaceful? Not so much Grin

FC for you yw

horseylady · 18/02/2013 10:56

pr I think I will start about 20 weeks with puréed food, no cereals. Makes a lot of sense and offer finger foods few weeks later.

Just got him weighed still tracking 25th line which is better they've recommended getting a stronger cream from the gp for his dry skin though. Need to try to get repeat prescription if gaviscon. Will see if I can drop to one sachet!!

Good weights for the triplets!!! That's nearly 10lb in baby just there!!!!

Right need to finish feeding e, buy dh his bday present (getting Samsung tablet sooooo tempted with iPad mini!!!) food shop, check lambs. Go into work, passport applications, dog walk, ride hopefully oh and house desperately needs cleaning!!!!!

MissMummy1 · 18/02/2013 11:20

I had a rubbish night. Matilda slept 20 mins the whole night - and that was on dp! In the end I went to the spare room and left him to deal with her. I feel like the worst mummy ever Sad . Feeling much more refreshed this morning though.

The massive poonami she has about an hour ago might explain why she was so unsettled.

We are braving getting the bus to our appointment today. I havent done public transport on my own with her yet so this could be interesting! Another gorgeous day so might walk back (about 1.5 - 2hrs maybe?) But that would mean taking the big buggy on the bus - maybe not then.

My eBay bargain this morning was a brand new m&p baby rocking horse for 99p! Local pick up. Seems too good to be true. probably is Hmm

Congrats on the triplets! I went out with a triplet for a few months. The bond between him and his brothers was amazing even though they all lived in different corners of the country.

YW good luck for the house! It looked smashing - I have kitchen envy! Umm, going by dp's rants when we looked at houses, stepped cracks are okay, as is surface damp around windows etc (okay as in not fatal!). Look in the loft space for mushrooms and wood rot if you can. Urm, can't remember what else, sure you know more. Give us a shout if you want him to have a nosey over it for you. Smile

StuntNun · 18/02/2013 11:47

Horsey my DS1 got an iPad Mini for his birthday and it's impressive. I would say if you have an iPhone and iPod then an iPad would be a good addition. If you have an android phone then the iPad probably isn't worth the extra money as the big advantage in it is being able to use the same apps and share your files (e.g. music and photos) across different devices through the cloud.

YellowWellies · 18/02/2013 11:49

MM good luck for the docs and the bus. Big cuddle to M. Ta for advice - just off for second viewing now!

YellowWellies · 18/02/2013 11:51

Horsey I really rate my Google nexus tablet - I'm normally an apple girl but for £200 less than the mini I couldn't justify the extra spend.

horseylady · 18/02/2013 11:54

Stunt I have apple, he has android.

Yw think I'm going to go Samsung....looked at the nexus, but he does like Samsung and he tends to go Samsung phones to so.......

horseylady · 18/02/2013 11:59

Yw - houses - look at damp proof you can usually see where it's gone in. Walls should be good do not be afraid to poke anything you are unsure of!! Many a house have we knocked parts off it!! Generally though a good survey should pick up most things. Saying that our house had a very very dodgy part which was picked up by the builders when we extended it. Basically we were living in a death trap which no one could have seen. We should have sued the previous owners. Had they not been dead!!

MissMummy1 · 18/02/2013 12:02

Thanks yw - have fun!

Horsey I have a galaxy note phone. Like a mini tablet. Cannot fault it in anyway! DP lusting.after an ipad but has since decided he wants a galaxy tab.Grin less expense for when it goes overboard like all his other bloody gadgets Angry

MissMummy1 · 18/02/2013 12:03

Oh and the other thing he mentioned was he cat d energy band - check if it's been insulated and factor in how much decent loft/wall insulation may cost you.

Contradictionincarnate · 18/02/2013 12:06

dd went back to sleep again until 11! I wanted to sort out clothes for charity collection I still have size 10 (in 14 at the mo) that definitely have to go! never going to fit in them again.
when me and dh first met I was a size 8 (I was a massive baby but from 6 always skinny til a few years ago). my dh was about 5 stone heavier! Shock
