The answer to the sleeping though question was a chorus of "no"s but there were a few resounding yesses and a lot more keeping quiet because the rest of us would be well jel.

Defo mm

pp you have had loads to cope with and however we wonderful girls think we can take it on you can't be expected to deal with a poorly DH and a newborn like it were a breeze. Let yourself go and have a cry. It is so hurtful when people offer to help and then don't. I would rather em not bother saying anything in the first place than offer and not deliver.

It is quite good in our quiche when you are feeling down [hugs]

Sophiathesnowfairy · 17/01/2013 13:34

Sorry thought they have developed a hug emoticon there.

About time they did don't you think?

gardenpixies32 · 17/01/2013 13:40

I have split up with DP. Must be some sort of record, babies only 15 weeks old. Ah well, it is still raw but I know I have done the right thing.

PetiteRaleuse · 17/01/2013 13:46

Sorry to hear that garden I hope you are OK.

Passmethecrisps · 17/01/2013 14:10

On nom ikea meatballs! Any excuse for meatballs.

I would love a wee meet up.

P has taken to hanging on to my hair when I am carrying her around. Tight grip for a wee girl!

ValiumQueen · 17/01/2013 14:13

Oh bugger garden I do hope you are ok x big hugs x

PP as above, babies are hard enough to manage without ill partners too x you have had two major life changing things in such a short amount of time.

Baby clinic is bursting at the sodding seams. Some bloody big babies too, like at least twelve years old! And coughing and spluttering. Yuck.

FatimaLovesBread · 17/01/2013 14:37

We've got a drs appt booked in an hour for this thrush. Any ideas what I need to be getting? I want something else for my nips that you don't have to wash off and I've read about a gel for their mouth?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 17/01/2013 14:46

garden are you sure? Is it really it? Are you ok?

PurplePidjin · 17/01/2013 14:50

Brew and Cake Garden. Have i missed the backstory, or would you like to spill? I'm happy to call him swear words for you if you like?

FatimaLovesBread · 17/01/2013 14:52

God missed a lot of posts there

purple (((hugs)))

Welcome furious

Shit garden are you ok? What's happened? (((Hugs)))

ValiumQueen · 17/01/2013 14:55

I have had to go to get DD1 from school. Need to go back to get the jags. Not sure they can accommodate. Clinic if from 2 to 3.15 and I saw countless babies come in behind me and get seen, and yes, they were to get jags too. This happened last time. Beginning to see a pattern. I was there before the clinic started ffs!

Kyzordz · 17/01/2013 15:11

Rang docs about clear stuff, they said to ring back and make a same day appointment if I see any more but it could be mucus he's swallowed or saliva (he is chewing things and drooling, past couple of days to a week). Am hoping it's nothing to Worry about.

Sorry to read that garden is it definitely over? :(

pikz · 17/01/2013 15:18

Hugs PP and hugs to garden. I am so sorry to hear about both situations.

Am having a crap day currently sat in doc waiting room. Fingers crossed for miracle cure to LO being so poorly.

blonderthanred · 17/01/2013 15:27

Good luck with the tongue tie procedure BP. Hope LP can feed better after. My DS wouldn't take the breast straight after (as they are meant to) but did later on so don't panic if that happens (as I did).

Apple just don't buy supermarket own brand beefburgers!

pp sorry you are having such a tough time. I guess sometimes you have to be specific about the help you need even though it doesn't feel nice to have to ask. I hope you get some help soon.

garden I am very sorry to hear about your DP. I hope you have some support in place. It is a very trying time for all of us in our relationships let alone with 2 babies.

I want to live in Scotland and come to a Scottish meet up. All the Scottish people on here sound such fun.

Passmethecrisps · 17/01/2013 15:40

Awful cross post - banging on about bloody meatballs

garden I am so sorry. I M sure whatever decision you have taken is for the best but I am sure you are caught in a total mess if emotion - I know I would be.

pp there is never a shortage of tears on here and your are completely understandable. I wonder if you are near one of us? I would help if I could.

Passmethecrisps · 17/01/2013 15:42

blonder get yourself on a train! You can be an honorary jock!

Passmethecrisps · 17/01/2013 15:54

Right! Have just sorted out P's room, cleared te cotbed and charged the baby monitor. As of tomorrow p is havig her naps in her own room. I will start by putting her down in the Moses basket in the cot then work towards her being in the cotbed itself. DH is very keen on this primarily because he spent ages researching a lovely mattress for her cotbed but she is currently sleeping on the really thin foam thing which came wih the cheapo basket.

I have also hunted out a sleeping bag so will start her using that for her 7pm-10:30 sleeps. Our previous attempt at not swaddling was a bit of a disaster.

PurplePidjin · 17/01/2013 16:02

I'm about as far from Scotland as you can be! Down near Southampton - it'd be quicker to get to Paris from here :o always up for coffee and cake with folk, though

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 17/01/2013 16:07

Me too purple, am in Devon!

garden hope you are ok. Feel free to vent, or not, here. Have Wine Brew Thanks as appropriate. Pity there isn't a cake or gin emoticon.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 17/01/2013 16:08

I think the emoticons need updating.

ChunkyChicken · 17/01/2013 16:19

Still catching up, but so far...

Dixie a few threads ago I wrote how I lost it with DD. I still have frequent moments of madness at her. Yesterday, for example, I'll driving, she demanded her dummy, I say no, we're nearly home (think literally 4-5mins) she screams "me want my dummy" I scream "I want you to shut up" & turn the radio on to cover the whining.Blush Not my finest hour!! I'm trying to give her more structure and get out every morning so I can she can let off steam. I don't have her in childcare (my DH & dsis did my childcare for us on my 3 days working) so I literally never get a break, & with DH buggering going off to hockey for hrs on end on Sat, I find things get to me. So the routine with help us both I hope.

Took DS into bed for feeds last night, so fed laying down because it was too cold out of bed, and he snacked all night, I think!!! Them DD wanted a cuddle. It was like the teddies - there were 4 in the bed, & the little one said...

blonderthanred · 17/01/2013 16:20

Wow an honorary Jock! I am on that train.

Although Paris with Purple sounds fun too...

DonnaDoon · 17/01/2013 16:24

Envy I dont live nowhere near Scotland and Garden Sorry to hear your news x

PetiteRaleuse · 17/01/2013 16:30

Chunky andDixie sounds familiar. DD1 had a temper tantrum earlier and it was all I could do to stop myself from joining in. It's hard having two so young but the good moments are really good. I love one sitting on one knee feeding and the other coming up and snugling on the other knee. Or when DD1 just decides to go and give kisses to LO.

Makes up fir stroppiness and competitive screaming.

CandyPop · 17/01/2013 16:32

garden so sorry to hear. Hope you are ok and getting plenty of RL support. You always have us here too if you need to talk.

Jealous of the northern met up!!!

LO developed cradle cap since last week. The last couple of days it's begun to smell ... Like stinky cheese eewwwww ...... The paediatrician said it was ok just keep it moisturised but that's what I have been doing . I asked him should it smell, and he said not really?!?! Wtf???!! So I asked is it infected, and he said no as its not red and then didnt really answer why it smells?! . I've bought some detronox (sp?!) so hopefully that will clear it . Currently she's sleeping on me and its seriously stinky!!! It stings my nostrils !! Lol
