Lol I only read this thread and in the tack room with any frequency. I have occasionally skim read other threads but tbh stopped as I was getting fed up with folks berating anyone for thinking of introducing a routine (even if the child was starting school that week) etc. At some point we are all in some sort of routine and have to sleep in our own bed. However I read the thread we were mentioned on and found most of it amusing bitchiness. I really laughed at this and thought actually some people do come across like this
when you think about it life as a typical MNetter is very hard.
You get up at 5am (after co-sleeping with your children all of whom you are still breastfeeding) to make the packed lunches and do 3 hours of cleaning.
Then you walk the 16 miles or whatever it is to your kids school.
then you come back and do another 4 hours of cleaning
Then you go to the supermarket for the weekly shop where you have a budget of £4.20 to feed everyone including enough to buy gammon which you will cook in coke.
When your kids get home from school you all sit around shivering in your house with no telly, no games consols and no heating on.
Your husband then gets in from his 18 hour shift and must immediately do 4 hours of housework
I also liked the fact that apparently a chicken can last some families a week. :)
