2nd feed here too but it only lasted 5 mins so we're just smooshing until cot transfer can take place.

CandyPop · 25/12/2012 05:30

Merry Xmas everyone!

kyz I'm so jealous! Out of interest how many weeks is ur LO again? How r u feeding? Breast or formula?

We had a horrendous night . Started off ok , sleep after feed at 1pm then woke at 1.30am for a feed. Then she wouldn't settle. took 2hrs before she went into light sleep, we had 45 mins then she started crying and fussing again. We faff faff faff come 3.30am dh took her down stairs so I can catch an hr :( .... Hoping she will be really tired now and settle adter this feed ....

Dixiebell · 25/12/2012 05:45

detective, everyone knows Santa doesn't come if you're awake, so proof of his existence should be no pressies for DS1!!

StuntNun · 25/12/2012 06:00

DS1 and DS2 are trying to be quiet but I think they're about to burst in. J is on his last feed of the night then we're full team go for Christmas.

:( candy hope you managed to get some sleep

Hope those of you with older children didn't get woken too early. DD1 doesn't really get Christmas yet so I'm ok for this year! I'm sure it'll be a very different story in a year or two.

Hope you all have a great day.

misslaughalot · 25/12/2012 08:21

Happ Christmas to all of you on this thread and to your newborns! Hope you all have as lovely a day as possible!

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/12/2012 08:29

Merry Christmas to all of you and your families. Hope everyone has a good day and not too tired (like me!)

DonnaDoon · 25/12/2012 09:36

Merry Christmas everyone...happy first Christmas to all our new babas...can't believe they were just twinkles in our eyes this time last year x

Cacacaz · 25/12/2012 09:38

Merry Christmas everyone! Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 25/12/2012 09:42

Merry Christmas to you all.. Can you believe our LOs didn't even exist this time last year?

DD1 still ill, and I've come down with a cough and cold too. It's pretty nasty so hoping LO doesn't get it. DD1 preferred to look at the presents rather than unwrap them. Don't know what I was thinking getting her more lego for me to step on and tidy up.

Just feeding LO now and will then get on with lunch. No turkey in the Raleuse house. Doing boeuf en croute with leeks and mushrooms and foie gras completely ethical paté.

TheDetective · 25/12/2012 10:01

Yaaaaaaawn... Santa arrived at 0345. Hmm

Oscar awake at 5 for a feed. Ds1 wakes up. Shouted at him to get back in his room and go the fuck back to sleep.

Oscar woke at 815 so that's when we started the day.

Everyone is happy with their presents! Oscars remain unwrapped as typically he decided to go back to sleep after his feed!!!!!

Merry Christmas one and all!!

Belgrano · 25/12/2012 10:48

Merry Christmas to you all!
Been up since 5 here, with a 2am feed and 4 feeds since 5 am so far. Is it crazy that I regard that as a good night?! DCs loved their stockings though I look haggard.
All I want for Christmas is 12 hours sleep (all joined up please).

Belgrano · 25/12/2012 10:51

Ps in car on way to mums now, all DCs dressed and breakfasted. Looking cute. (Them, not me!) Yawn.
Hope you all have nice turkey dinners at least, I do love Christmas food.

Thechick · 25/12/2012 11:27

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

ValiumQueen · 25/12/2012 11:32

Dreadful night here with coughing and vomiting. Girls woke at 6 and presents all liked. Not impressed with Ewan so far. I find him irritating, but he may grow on me. The harp noise, indeed all noises have heartbeat going on too. Is that right or is it faulty? DS feeding constantly. DH has bathed and dressed both girls. Ff to grandma soon to be fed.

blonderthanred · 25/12/2012 12:00

Ewan has heartbeat noises in all his settings. I didn't find it a magic fix but always play the front left foot when I put L down at night, post-feed or if he wakes and it seems to soothe him, or at least set the tone. I play the harp one during the last feed or sometimes during night feeds if he has woken up too much eg because we've had to change him. It's one of our few bits of routine. If he is feeling windy or uncomfortable it won't override that so I imagine as J is still recuperating it may not work straight away.

I guess like most things it won't work for every baby but for L it was worth persevering with. I'm not a fan of the back legs though!

MissMummy1 · 25/12/2012 12:55

Merry Christmas!! Grin

Hope you're all having a lovely day. M went down at 12.30 last night and woke up at 4 and 7.30 for feeds. Little star! Smile

Having a great day. DP excelled himself buying me a beautiful diamond necklace and some gorgeous clothes for M. Feeling very blessed. About to have some food then off out to visit family.

I even treated myself to a cheeky bucksfizz this morning!! Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 25/12/2012 12:58

Merry Christmas all.

We have seen the house stunt is great, well I think it's great but is just bunch of foundations but I stood at my pretend sink and looked out at the mountains and I stood in my pretend lounge and looked at the sea. It is a very happy Christmas. I had asked DH for a north face coat for when we move over to protect my bottom from the rain and when I opened the box ( that he had not wrapped) there was a Tiffany box sitting on top of the coat with a necklace and an O charm ( O for Oliver) with diamonds on it.

I know I am a lucky girl, my life wasn't always this way so I feel especially blessed.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 25/12/2012 12:59

Good good good one mm I just knew it. Use be diamonds when he snuck int he house moth the bags.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 25/12/2012 14:17

Please excuse the above, rest assured I am not drunk!

glendathegoodwitch · 25/12/2012 14:34

Merry Christmas to you, your gorgeous babies and lovely families xxx

Hada bad night with dots not settling until 3 ish then up again at 6.30

Everyone loves their prezzies and I am chuffed to bits with my maroon 5 tickets with permission to drool over Adam Levine from hubby and personalised pink stethoscope ready for march!!!!

Dottie looks cute in her outfit though had to take the tights off her as she looked like Nora batty lol and she loves the play gym her grandad bought her -it's the first toy that she's spent longer than 30 seconds looking at before raaing!!

Hope you all have fabulous day and thank you all for your advice, support, laughs & stories - you've helped keep my sanity xxx

ValiumQueen · 25/12/2012 14:45

Thank you blonder you are right, a stuffed toy cannot make him better, but hopefully it will soothe and lead to sleep association. Although I am fucked if I can remember what sleep is!

Girls have been thoroughly spoiled by grandparents. Makes our gifts look really mean as we have had a frugal christmas.

Despite being so tired I could sleep standing up, and getting fuck all from DH, I am so very very happy. After being told I would never have kids, I have three and they are more or less healthy, all clean at the same time, and are not crying or fighting. Both my parents are still alive, as is my brother who we thought we were going to lose a few times over recent years. I still have a fat arse, but it is paid for. Life is good, and I am not drunk either!

mummytobe1990 · 25/12/2012 18:18

hope everyone had a lovely christmas and all the babies behaved themselves Xmas Grin

KissysUnderTheMisteltoe · 25/12/2012 18:39

NervousReindeer · 25/12/2012 18:47

I hope everyone's had a good day today

I've had a lovely day, got completely spoiled and so did LO so many people gave her presents which was lovely of them, don't think we'll need to buy any toys until her 1st birthday Xmas Grin going to put a Christmas film on soon and have a drink or 2 and DP is loaded up with bottles and nappies
