Go VQ! Sounds like service was a great success.

I meant to say earlier that I am massively relieved that th milk is on prescription as it costs between )£15 and £20 per 400g. Thank heavens for health care free on the point of need.

ValiumQueen · 24/12/2012 17:40

pass more money to spend on washable nappies then?

I feel tiddled after one tiny drop. Oops. Bad mummy.

Glenda we're still in the process of forming our traditions - we've never spent a Christmas day entirely at home. We have a stocking each, empty of course, the magic key to leave out for Santa, plus the obligatory mince pie & drink (might have to be a non-alc one for me to drink it, & this is the 1st time we've done that as DD is only old enough this year). We have a nice brekkie planned & then will open pressies. Will pop into DH's GPs before walking to my DM&D for lunch. This year, everyone is coming to ours for tea & games, including 'Christmas Tree Presents', a tradition from DH's GP. I'm hoping I will get some sleep at some point!! :)

Hope everyone's doing well. We're watching The Santa Clause before bed.
I'll try catch up in the night feeds but wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone in case I don't get chance to say it tomorrow
Hope all the babies enjoy there first Christmas' and everyone has a fab day

It is all out war in the Detective house! DS1 is trying to prove FC doesn't exist! He will be in for a long night! I've found his video camera mwhahahaha.

I'll need matchsticks tomorrow at this rate! Just you lot wait til they are older pains in the fucking arse! and don't go the fuck to sleep. Oh. Wait....

Happy Christmas! We are festive here now! Cinema went well, despite being on the very front row Hmm! He fed as soon as we got there, and slept the rest, part way in his car seat, then in my arms!

I'm off to do sale shopping now! I have DS's birthday in March. We need cheap stuff. Due to mat pay kicking in after this month :( Desperate times call for desperate measures! Fucking sales shopping. On christmas eve! TUT!

Passmethecrisps · 24/12/2012 23:39

Merry Christmas everyone!

I have an unsettled little lady at the moment. A day of granny cuddles all too much it seems. Poor DH tried to give her a cuddle and got 5 minutes before she announced it was her turn and took p away.

Ok, massive poo she has been fighting with for 2 hours has arrived. Brill'

Passmethecrisps · 24/12/2012 23:48

Just to clarify - granny was a star today and will be brill tomorrow as well. She doesn't get many cuddles so it's not resented. Just has made for an overstimulated wee girl!

KissysUnderTheMisteltoe · 25/12/2012 00:27

Merry Christmas one and all!

ValiumQueen · 25/12/2012 00:36

Merry christmas. J keeps coughing himself awake and is getting more and more upset. DH made me a cup of tea which shows how bad things are. On nights like this it is easy to think that a bottle would solve everything. My logical head says it would not help his cough. It is the frantic feeding with mews that just cuts me up.

The girls both went to bed no trouble, but I am expecting an early start. No sodding batteries for Ewan. Grr. And no rennies.

NervousReindeer · 25/12/2012 01:56

Merry Christmas ladies Xmas Smile I hope you all have a great day and babies enjoy their first christmas and those already with DCs enjoy it too

GTbaby · 25/12/2012 02:14

Happy Christmas. I hope u all enjoy every moment of ur first Xmas with ur sparkly twinkly little ones.

katkit1 · 25/12/2012 02:38

Merry Christmas to you all.

Thrush for me started as feeling itchy - on the nipples - when feeding then progressed very quickly onto very red rings around my nipples. One of the other ladies on here described it as feeling like broken glass being smooshed into your nipples when feeding - this is spot on. I resented feeding so much over those 2 weeks because of the pain. We're both on the mend now.

katkit1 · 25/12/2012 02:43

Sorry still going on about thrush - this was a real battle for me and resulted in tears everyday and support from my hv and breastfeeding clinic to get through it, the last thing I wanted to do was feed when I was so sore. I'm not sure I would carry on breast feeding if it came back again.

TheDetective · 25/12/2012 02:54

Ds1 is really pushing his luck now!!!!

GO THE FUCK TO SLEEP!

He needs the fucking Ewan the uglyist dream sheep!!!

Oscar, well, he has been asleep since 9. Poked awake by me at 12 with the intention of feed then bed. Except there is no bed!! Because fc can't drop his load Grin.

katkit1 · 25/12/2012 03:00

Hi Detective is DS1 very excited about "Santa" that he's awake so, so late?

TheDetective · 25/12/2012 03:32

Nope, he is trying to catch 'Santa' out because he doesn't believe and I insist he is real! It's my own fault really...!

pikz · 25/12/2012 04:03

Hahahah detective...what's in store for all of us in the future then!!!

VQ sendin you some batteries for Ewan! Am pumping milk and LOstill sleeping!

ChunkyTurkeywiththetrimmings · 25/12/2012 04:25

kitkat thanks for the info. A night without breast pads & bras has helped, as yesterday I wasn't as itchy etc so I don't think it can be thrush. But if I get any non-latch related pain I'll go straight to the Dr. Thanks again.

Kyzordz · 25/12/2012 04:29

Merry Christmas all, hope you all have a fab day :) at risk of being shot i'm lying awake waiting for LO to wake up. He slept eight hours solid the night before last and it's been seven and a half so far tonight! I feel a bit redundant lol! Really shouldn't be complaining though! I'm not expecting it to last but he's doing so well :) I bet tonight will be extra gruelling to make up for the couple of good nights we've had of course!

katkit1 · 25/12/2012 05:13

detective - hope ds1 tired himself out and is asleep without catching Santa in the act.

chunky - fresh air seems to have done my boobs a power of good. I've been going bra-less and not using pads as often as poss, I was wearing my bras constantly. I also stopped using nipple cream - everything dried out and started to feel much better. I'm using meds as well of course but I think I was creating a lovely, damp, warm environment before the thrush came along.

NervousReindeer · 25/12/2012 05:17

Second feed here and I'm busting for a wee

detective hope Santa managed to finally drop his load Xmas Grin

kirrinIsland · 25/12/2012 05:22

Merry Christmas everyone :)

kyzordz he is doing well - enjoy!!

detective hope your DS1 has given in and gone to sleep!

Sleep dust to everyone else!

We're just doing feed number 2 and hoping she'll settle quickly. She's done quite well the last couple of nights but seems a bit more unsettled tonight.
