Merry Christmas.
Fab day here too. Ended up 4 in a bed from 01 30 and ds 1 up at 2 30 and then 3 30 but did eventually get up at 07 30 so pretty respectable really. Dc's all completely hyper but had a ball and been thoroughly spoilt. My small girls been a star today after a very unsettled day yesterday.
Now to sit on the sofa amid the carnage that is my house. Oh well it can wait until tomorrow.
Loving the Christmas Facebook pics. Hope your days have been merry and good x

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/12/2012 20:51

Hope everyone has had a good day. We're all knackered so all in bed now, both kiddies asleep woop!

Starting all over again tomorrow at FILs house Xmas Grin

Evilwater · 25/12/2012 21:38

DS is really driving me up the wall!
Last night it took from 7 till past midnight to get him to sleep and then he protested all night. Then he was grumpy this morning, he was so tired he feel asleep at lunch time thankgod I was going to leave him in his room till he was quite at everyone's delight. I was not much company at the table as I wanted to sleep between meals.
Now he is still grumpy but not as bad.

Here's to a better tomorrow!

Evil
Happy Xmas.

Kyzordz · 25/12/2012 22:04

Merry Christmas everyone! Sorry I'm late! Hope you all had a lovely day

Had an ok day, poor LO has suffered with wind a bit but hasn't been bad considering, bless him. Xmas itself was grand, thoroughly enjoyed it :D

candypop he's 7 weeks today, and is ff, he managed a long one again last night, fed at 9, down by 10:15 and asleep until 4:20, when I put him in with me for 'five mins' and we fell asleep till 5, whoops!

blonderthanred · 26/12/2012 00:21

My lovely boy gave me quite the gift.... He slept through the whole of Christmas dinner so I got to eat with everyone else. Given that pretty much every mealtime is usually eaten in shifts as he seems to have a sixth sense for its arrival, this was a Christmas miracle!

Hope you've all had lovely days.

GTbaby · 26/12/2012 01:21

Argh rant rant rant. Sry this is all I seem to do here. So sorry.

Went to spend Xmas with BIL n the whole inlaw family. At midnight I realise I can't find my keys. So tell OH that's it's easier for me to come home ( I was meant to go bk to mums) he basically says no, I'm not to come home n to go to my parents. I can't say he shouted. But the tone he used infront of his whole family really upset me. He said he got angry as he felt my family couldn't be bothered to stay up. Wen actually I was trying to be considerate to my family. As if my family would lock me out, forget the fact I have my kid with me. He upset me so much.
Argh stupid fucking man. In not gona call him. If I buckle please stop me! If I get weak ill post on here n remind myself y he is such a jerk.

On a plus side, LO got some lovely gifts, although he cried on n off for two hours. Think he was over tiered Hmm but he is cute. N my little fraggle so he an get away with it.

n now he has done a poo. Must remember what I JusT said!

NervousReindeer · 26/12/2012 03:48

Aw GT don't worry about ranting we all do it, this place is a great place to vent Xmas Smile hope your got into your mums okay in the end

Just up feedin, for some reason I couldn't sleep after the last feed now my eyes are stinging.. Hope this is a quick one so I can get back to bed

StuntNun · 26/12/2012 03:58

Sorry to hear you had an upsetting evening GT. Why didn't your OH want you to come home?

Currently on the second feed of the night. FC he'll go to morning after this one as I'm knackered.

My DH is miffed because I wouldn't DTD last night. It's not that I don't want to but between the nipple thrush and the lochia, it doesn't seen like a great idea. I told him the bleeding would stop if I got more rest but he was really unimpressed. I'm six weeks tomorrow so I kind of thought it would have stopped by now.

Right, 4 o'clock and J has finished. Please sleep till half six baby!

CandyPop · 26/12/2012 04:37

gtbaby hope ur ok. Rant away. Why couldn't you go home? It's a bit out of order, its suppose to be ur home too so who is he to say no?

We had a good run from 11pm till now but now she's wide awake.... Hmmm.... Dh turn to settle her!

Bryzoan · 26/12/2012 06:13

Gt that sounds awful. How strange and unpleasant. Really good luck in reaching some kind of resolution. I think I would be thinking long and hard about where home really is.

Lovely Christmas here - tthough G refused to sleep till after 1 and has been awake again since 5. Sleep, little man, please. I can hear his big sister stiring now too - readying myself to say hello daytime! Also I think he has picked up his big sister's eye infection despite my bet efforts. Dang. At least hers seems to have cleared now - at last.

kirrinIsland · 26/12/2012 07:12

GT :( Thats really not on. What was his problem?

Bad night here. What happened to the 4 hour stretch I've been getting used to?! Didn't happen tonight - she's gone 2 hours tops between feeds. Hope it's just a glitch. Must be the excitement of Christmas!!

Dixiebell · 26/12/2012 08:03

Me too kirrin. Teddy did 3 hours till 2, but then was really unsettled, finally back down about 4, but up again at 5, 6 and 7! Tried out grobag for first time, but he was rather warm at 2, so went back to cellular blanket. Maybe needs only one layer under it?

Dixiebell · 26/12/2012 08:09

Had a lovely day yesterday tho, if a bit hectic. At my dad's house, there were 15 adults and 6 kids under 4. We spent practically the whole day opening presents, except for when eating! Kids had their own meal sitting, then we left them charging up and down the hallway watching a DVD while adults ate. Teddy slept throughout lunch Grin. And DS1 had a great time, he wore his new dressing gown all day, despite getting extremely hot and sweaty with all the running around! We haven't even got round to opening the presents under our own tree. And to my mum's today for take 2. And take 3 tomorrow at DH's dad's! Divorced parents on both sides do mean a lot of Christmases...!

Bryzoan · 26/12/2012 08:34

Ahhhh - lovely dh got up with dd1 and gave me a lie in. I feel so much better. He now has a lot of good husband points. Busy day today though so time to get up now :-)

ValiumQueen · 26/12/2012 10:12

I love Ewan. Very much. DS fed, rolled his head away and talked to Ewan until he fell asleep. Ewan does not override a wet nappy or wind, but I did not have to be a human dummy. Thankfully it came with demo batteries that lasted. He is still waking frequently with cough. The sheep is a tad annoying! But less irritating than a crying baby.

ValiumQueen · 26/12/2012 10:15

I still have yet to have turkey or cranberry sauce or chestnuts so I am going shopping today. We had beef at mum and dads which was lovely, but not Christmas dinner in my opinion. DS also slept for 3 hours over lunch which was very handy. It was the only sleep he had all day though.

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/12/2012 10:19

I got 9-2 last night then quick feed and straight back down, in fact last night was good and feel a bit more with it today.

Off to FILs soon, dh's sickly thin sister will be there and she had her second baby in sept and she was back in her size 6 jeans after 3 weeks! I always feel scruffy and frumpy next to her even though I'm 5"8 and a size 8!

blonderthanred · 26/12/2012 11:11

Oh I'm so glad VQ. He did well for me too last night as L woke up at 5am, an hour after feeding, but I switched Ewan on and he dozed off again till 7. I keep him on the quieter setting as it is perfectly loud enough imo.

L got so many presents that we are taking some round to my Mum's today to open. DH and I got him a small stocking with bits he needed and a book from us both but DSis and DM both got him a sackful, plus ILs and assorted friends & relatives meant there actually wasn't enough time in the day to open them! What a spoilt baby.

I bought N a jewellery box because I felt she should have something, and I suspect she'll get some money from my Dad and sister, but that's it! But I told everyone else not to get anything - am I cruel?! We have everything she needs because of DD1 and there's plenty of time to spoil her when she understands what's going on.
I held back some of DD1's presents because I thought it would get a bit too overwhelming, but we're doing Christmas again at Dads tomorrow and it's her birthday on Sunday so she's going to have a week of getting a present or 2 everyday - hope she doesn't get too used to it or January will be a shock!

Ewan the sheep sounds intriguing!

kirrinIsland · 26/12/2012 11:56

lane I know what you mean about the breastfeeding - it's been constant here for the past few days (growth spurt?) and I'm pretty sick of it to be honest. She was 6 weeks on Monday so hopefully we'll be out the other side soon.

blonderthanred · 26/12/2012 12:05

kirrin DH and I only got L a book o fairy tales (plus the stocking bits) as he has everything he needs. But he's the first grandchild/nephew so there was no chance of DM and DSis not going overboard. It's very lovely of them and I know I couldn't have stopped them if I tried!

I've been really overwhelmed by how kind people have been, we've had cards & gifts from people we never normally hear from or even some we've never met - friends of DMIL in particular. I knew family would be excited about L but I hadn't realised how many other people would be excited too. It really is lovely.

kirrinIsland · 26/12/2012 12:26

Ahh blonder that's lovely. N is the second grandchild/niece but the 12th (!) in her generation for the wider family so we're all pretty much over the excitement now!!

ValiumQueen · 26/12/2012 13:21

We got Ewan for is really. Apart from that he got some too-big socks, and a bib so we were restrained. I asked my mum to get some sleep suits in a bigger size. 18-24 mths! Not quite what I meant, but lovely all the same.

Anyone on the look-out for gro-bags, Asda had loads for half price this morning, so £6 roughly. I bought some more vests and baby gros in bigger sizes with some money from his great aunt. They had loads of clothes in the sale.

Anyone else braved the sales? I would love to go to Next and M&S but did not feel brave enough.

NervousReindeer · 26/12/2012 13:25

When you freeze breast milk then thaw it does it taste different, does anyone know? We've tried to give lob2 bottles and she's rejected the each time so I'm hoping its the milk and that she's not rejecting the bottle, I only wanted to breast feed until 6 m
