It's alright Nervous, I have the other two to keep me company. I think they'll be glad of some time with me when I haven't got the baby draped over one arm. They're at the village Christmas party just now so it's just me and the cat watching the Phantom on telly.

On the plus side, I got the pleasure of watching Home Alone 3. Hmm

Thanks DS...!!

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 21:19

Same here with both cars Pass wheel off pram comes off, and the seat has to be pulled as far forward as possible!

Definitely need new cars! Or at least one, we could manage with DP's, it is mine that will probably need to go. yes!! Grin

With bath time, I pick an alert time of the day to do it, he loves it. So if I notice he is awake, or we are doing a nappy change and he is calm, I will do it then. I don't do it every day. Just when he needs it, which is probably every other day. I drop stuff on him Blush meaning he can get a little sticky occasionally Grin.

I've got 100mls ebm in the fridge, and no school run to wake pain in the arse DP for in the morning. Please let tonight be a better night!

I am grateful for weekends!

GTbaby · 07/12/2012 21:25

Thanks for ur advice this morning. Have my 6/8 week check nxt week so will bring it up with dr then.
Will research treatment first tho. As I don't want the dr just to give me pills.

Off to have LOs hands/feet cast tomorrow. Looking forward to it :) and managed to write my Xmas cards just need to print pics of LO tomorrow to include with card and I'm sorted.
Also start Xmas gift shopping tomorrow. Blush Not to bad tho, 7 kids to buy for. 2 secret Santa gifts. Bro, sis and my parents. Will have to buy DH something from LO aswel. n myself something from LO as DH is to dumb to think of doing anything

In the mood for some jiggy jiggy. It's the talk of sexy knickers. Not that mine fit me lol. Although dont know y i bother with them as DH is never interested in the packaging lol. I was gutted to realise this after spending almost £500 in rigby n pillerBlush n now none of it fits. Double gutting.
Right off to research pnd and dummies. Keep saying ill research dummies but never get to it.

horseylady · 07/12/2012 21:30

£500 on underwear??!! Jesus I would be pushed to spend that on a horse (but would expect to sell it for at least 10x that!!)

Detective - I think my epis is similar to yours. I'm tempted to photo it for vq and her great age. See what happens :) we could then compare. I'm disturbed by that diagram....

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 21:31

GT I'll never forget the time I dressed up for DP, IMO I looked amazing, the reaction did not make me feel in the least bit sexy. I distinctly remember stomping off telling him he'd never shag me again. Grin

Yet the time I am stood there with my wobbly belly in huge knickers up to my tummy button, 3 maternity pads, a feeding bra stashed with nipple pads, a shattered fanjo and he can't get enough of me.

Sick bastard!!!!!

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 21:33

Horsey, you give me inspiration that I might be able to walk again soon then. Seeing as you have been on your horse!

I'd crumble in to a thousand pieces at the mere thought of putting my broken bits on a horse at the moment! I'm giving it another week. Before I stomp off to the GP for stronger painkillers and a referral back to clinic!

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 21:34

I think we should all put pictures of our broken fanjos online. People might think twice before having babies then Wink.

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/12/2012 21:35

stunt you should have a baileys! I was talking to a friend at lunchtime about our favourite xmas films. I'm a bit sad as mines elf. I watch it every christmas with a glass (or 3) of baileys and since then I've been craving it. Going to do that Sunday night I think. Just the 1 glass though.

I've booked in a couple of nights out over xmas and in the new year so I'm trying to build a decent supply of ebm in the freezer. I'm just hoping the nights out won't interfere with my supply. I'm not against E having any formula but bf is going much better than I thought it would so don't want to mess things up purely as I am being selfish by going out. Any tips/advice that you ladies can give to try and make sure it doesnt would be very much appreciated.

GTbaby · 07/12/2012 21:37

horsey never again! It was before the wedding. So I literally bought a whole new wardrobe. (I lost quite a bit of weight so that was my excuse) n have now put it all bk on Hmm

det it really does surprise me. But DH really does love me just the way I am. Stretch marks n all. Shocking but true. To my horror, He keeps trying to kiss my tummy lol

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 21:38

Men are strange creatures, yes?!

Good job though!! Grin

horseylady · 07/12/2012 21:44

Detective - pelvic floor is not what it was. I can ride quite happily but I constantly have a dull ache in my coxic?! Tail bone area anyway when I'm sat on the sofa. Ill ask the dr about it at the ten week check ( seeing as that's when were booked in!!) that is slightly concerning me. Along with my pelvic floor. Saying that, I can ride/walk/jog pain free so.......

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/12/2012 21:45

Re bath time I tend to put both DD's in bath together. DD1 has a bath pretty much every night as part of her bed time routine and has done since I can remember! If DD2 is awake and happy she goes in as well but she's only had about 5 baths. She's not a great lover of them but in my experience babies don't tend to like them much. Think it's the whole getting nude beforehand and being chilly when they get out. DD1 used to scream the place down but once she got to about 3/4 months she loved them. DD2 isn't as bad. I have a cuddledry towel and that has helped when she gets out. She looks all snug and cozy in it.

jenbird · 07/12/2012 22:33

Have to say I couldn't even contemplate any jiggy right now. Feel far too unattractive and knackered. Can just about manage to brush my hair!

My 2 older dc's have gone for a sleepover tonight. One at Beavers, the other at her friends. It is going to be very quiet in the morning with just the two littlies around. We have a full on busy weekend too so I hope they are not too sleep deprived and grumpy tomorrow.

My dh goes back to work on Monday. I have to say I am a little scared. The thought of getting all 4 of them out of the door on time for school when it is freezing outside is somewhat daunting!

stunt I could really drink a Baileys with ice right now mmmm...

Passmethecrisps · 07/12/2012 22:51

Thank you for bath advice. I am trying to be all Gina Ford but nobody told penny she was supposed to be all chillaxed.

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 22:52

I take my hat off to you Jen I can't even contemplate getting one child out the door for school!!

I also forgot to brush my hair today. It has yesterdays hairspray on it still Blush.

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 22:54

Must be nearly feeding time again... boobs are tingling! Wish I had gone to bed now. Could of had nearly 2 hours... feck.

StuntNun · 07/12/2012 22:57

Baileys has been drunk so I'm off to bed. Hope DH stays out for ages!

Jen we have to start all systems go on Monday as well. DS2 isn't much of a problem but DS1's ADHD meds take a while to take effect so morning time is very difficult. Now I know why my dad used to have breakfast after he had for us all off to school.

Eliza with my other two I expressed once a day, kept it in the fridge that day then froze it in bags. That way I always had a bottle available in the fridge if I needed it unexpectedly and a stashes in the freezer if I needed to leave milk with DH or with MIL if she was babysitting. The electric pump is brilliant as I can pump one side while J is feeding on the other. At the moment two pumping sessions (in the morning when I have loads of milk) is making a 5 oz bottle.

Right off to bed for me. I'm allowed out to go shopping tomorrow as I have a wedding to go to next week and nothing decent to wear. Fortunately it's just the evening do so I don't need to be too glamorous.

OP posts:
FreddieMercurysBolero · 07/12/2012 23:19

Tits - congrats on getting the pump! sounds like you deserve it:)

garden- fingers crossed they don't get chicken pox, DS1 was exposed to it a LOT over the summer, every kid in the estate had it except for him, and he still hasn't got them...

Petite - good to hear about your lo, here's homping the news continues to be good:) Jealous of your snow, I'd love some but am still learning to drive so snow would put me out of action for a while, so maybe it would be best if it stayed away for a while!

Pass- oh your poor DD, still having poos like that. Hope the new formula works.

Yoko - welcome:) DS was due on the 10th, but decided he'd rather be induced on the 22nd instead...

Chunky - hurrah for free tounges! Hope feeding goes better for you now, well done on getting this far with tt:)

Dectective - we have a Punto and manage to squish into it, pram and all! Although we are going to my sister's for christmas and I'm already trying to figure out how we will get presents etc in... Hmm. My bits are still in bits too, although starting to feel a little better, hope yours get better soon.

GT Shock at 500 quid on underwear, our car isn't worth that much! Hope you're feeling better today, remember we are always here if you need people to talk to.

DS is asleep now, he seems to be (fingers crossed) settled into a pattern of feeding every 3 hours, which isn'y bad for a two week old I think... DS1 was every two hours until he was at least three months, so pleasantly surprised with this one. They are so completly different, it's amazing. DS2 looks awfully like my Dad, it's slightly disconcerting to look down and see my Dad's face munching away at my boob Hmm

It's nice though, i have 4 siblings and none of us look like my Dad, he may change though.

FreddieMercurysBolero · 07/12/2012 23:25

It's scary isn't it Jen - tomorrow will be the first time DH has worked a day shift since DS was born - I'll be on my own until 3.30 with both boys... I can see there being a lot of Peppa Pig tomorrow...

Stunt - I really want a Baileys now. Was in Lidl today and was supposed to pick up a bottle of their cheapo stuff for Christmas (it's called something cat like 'Holiday Cream' I thinkGrin) and forgot! Oh well, I'll try hold out until next week!

Evilwater · 08/12/2012 01:09

Sorry I've not checked in, baby evil has been very grumpy!! Not eaten loads, but has wanted to be in a persons arms now for 2 days. :(

On a hunch I've put him in the cot, and it seems to be working. What's the next thing for down stairs??

I've finished my costume for Sunday.

If things go well, I'll catch the thread up tomorrow, if not the tonight.
Evil

GTbaby · 08/12/2012 01:13

Fucking twat of a ducking husband. I asked him to pass me the dummy as LO was screaming n milk was to hot. Made some comment having to get up. N I burst out crying.

He just apologised. Half arsed half asleep and he is already asleep. Fucking stupid man. told him I can't sleep and I'm exhausted, he asked me what is wrong with me, I just said insomnia. He won't "get" pnd if that's what this is. He will give me the gumph that he is here to help me. But then won't help.

He made a comment about me getting out more n doing more myself. Which is rich as I was planning to go tesco cafe n he asked me to wait for him n he would come with. LOng n short being we didn't end up going.

Did the nhs quiz about pnd as well and "I am very likely" to be suffering n should contact my gp. Great. But thinking I have it is making me more upset which makes me think I must deff have it cos I keep getting teary. Stupid cycle. I don't want pnd. I just want to b happy. I just want to snap out of this.

ChunkyTurkeywiththetrimmings · 08/12/2012 02:02

GT that sounds difficult. It doesn't need to be PND to be annoyed by your DHs sleep, I get annoyed by mine. And maybe with a bit of help, you will "snap out of it" quickly, but don't feel guilty. It's not your fault.

NervousAt20 · 08/12/2012 03:05

Aw GT I agree with chunky that being annoyed with your DHs sleep doesn't mean PND, hearing them snore whilst we're awake is awful

I'm sure your DH would be supportive for you if he understood how you feel, there is alot of information out there to help partners understand each others feelings ect... If you go to see your GP now it might not even be PND but the start of which you can get support for to stop it becoming full on

StuntNun · 08/12/2012 03:21

GT I think I had PND after DS1 but I didn't realise I had it until I started to feel better again.
