seconds - totally sympathise. I get hugely angry with DH for wanting to have some sleep before he goes to work all day even though there's nothing he can do by sitting awake with me while I feed!

Bellaboo123 · 18/12/2012 10:19

Seconds can I join you for a sob I'm feeling totally useless Aurelia has hardly slept all night, I'm just so exhausted and now feel like I'm coming down with something...body aches, head hurts and temperature.i laid there to and just let her cry out of sheer frustration. Confused

SpottyTeacakes · 18/12/2012 10:31

Bella how are your boobs? Sounds like symptoms of mastitis?

Bellaboo123 · 18/12/2012 10:35

Massive! Not as sore as they have been the last few days...I feel really fluey?!? How would I know? Aurelia didn't really feed well last night either...

CODwidow · 18/12/2012 10:49

bella do you have and hard lumps or hot bits on either boob?

CODwidow · 18/12/2012 10:49

any not and!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/12/2012 10:50

Symptoms of mastitis. Could just be a virus but worth thinking about Smile

MaMaPo · 18/12/2012 10:59

Do get checked out if mastitis is a possibility. my sister was hospitalised with it when my niece was 5 days old, so dont ignore it.

Bellaboo123 · 18/12/2012 11:00

One was really sore over the weekend...think I'll give the HV a call and see what they suggest. Thanks both didn't even think of that!

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 18/12/2012 11:54

Definitely get checked, Bella. Can you express to keep your supply up and relieve your nipples a bit?

6lb 15 oz this morning, hurrah! Bought dummies, will try him on them later...

SpottyTeacakes · 18/12/2012 12:21

pidj Felix generally shakes his head away from his dummy before he finally remembers that he loves it and then cries when it falls out!

Bellaboo123 · 18/12/2012 12:28

Waiting for HV to call me back.

Emotional wreck today argh! Hate being like this. A wont settle either feel such a failure.

I usually express a bottle a day so I'll keep doing that to help relieve

Sorry for me me me post feeling sorry for myself today

SpottyTeacakes · 18/12/2012 12:32

Don't worry Bella I feel sorry for myself most days Grin let us know what the HV says. Maybe take some paracetamol?

Someone I know (who's now become a friend) had their son at 32 weeks and they were in SCBU with us after four and a half weeks they're finally allowed home Smile

brooke89 · 18/12/2012 12:35

Don't worry bella I'm always feeling sorry for myself! Hope everything is ok!

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 18/12/2012 12:39

Bella, Dr Pidj prescribes bed, dvd and cold flannels on your boob. If you can rope in an adoring grandparent or friend to take baby out for a walk, all the better!

Bellaboo123 · 18/12/2012 13:47

Spotty you were right - thank you!

Am following Dr pidj orders hopefully I'll start feeling better soon.

Thanks everyone x

SpottyTeacakes · 18/12/2012 13:49

Oh I hope you feel better soon it's the last thing you need on top of the sleep deprivation! Thanks

brooke89 · 18/12/2012 13:59

Hope you feel better soon bella EnvyThanks

WeeJo08 · 18/12/2012 15:07

Feel better, Bella Thanks

kate2boysandabump · 18/12/2012 16:44

I've not posted for a few days as I've been ill. I've had a horrific uti, which I ignored for a few days and by then it was really bad. Got antibiotics and i'm startingh to feel a bit better, it's very frustrating to still not be feeling better.

Bella don't ignore bring ill like I did. If you feel ill, see a doctor.

I've achieved the one thing I needed to.this week, I made it to.the carol service! Ds3 slept through the first half and fed through the second, he was such a good boy. I can now rest through the rest of the week, until dh finishes work.on Friday.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 18/12/2012 16:52

Well we've had a windy day and Ethan has been really unsettled but I'm hoping we're over the worst of it. He's now in his Moses basket sleeping. I've been productive and sorted all the girls clothes out of Ethan's drawers lol. And I've picked out an outfit for him to wear tomo for the hv visit!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/12/2012 17:08

Hope you're feeling better kate

Dd has been vile all day, again. Dinner is looking to be a disaster and ds has been moaning all afternoon. And I look like death warned up humph.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 18/12/2012 17:12

Oh spotty that doesn't sound like a good day. AR least my big ones were at school today while Ethan screamed.

Ds and DH have gone to have their hair cut for Xmas now, Ethan's feeding and dd is making Xmas presents for ds. My house is a tip but I couldn't give a flying fig right now.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/12/2012 17:15

It's ok there's one of those chocolate celebration trays in the fridge as its dp's birthday and he's buggering off out so I'm going to all some of it Grin

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 18/12/2012 17:17

Ooo chocolate tray mmmmmmmm! Envy
