I loved kate's thread name but thought we needed a birthday theme for this one. We'll soon have 6 weeks of birthdays to celebrate!

Yeesh, time for the hazmats again isn't it?

Sorry to hear about your DH aethel, really hope it's not norovirus.

And poor little F, hope she (and you) sleep a little better tonight MissRee

Got all the cooking and washing done today, as well as watched the football, so it's been a better day than yesterday, though that's not difficult. Still, I've only got two more weeks of work, and both are short as I'm off on a long weekend this one coming, whoooop!

MissChristmastRee · 09/12/2012 19:42

Ooh nasty Aethel I'll keep everything crossed that he doesn't share the love germs!

I think we're in for another long night - she's coughing and spluttering as soon as I lay her down. The only time she sleeps well is upright on my chest Sad

jigglebum · 09/12/2012 20:24

Ill children and husband here too. We had a lovely week of Freya being well (whilst on antibiotics!) and now we are back to whingy coldy Freya with conjuctivitis, (probably caught from her cousin at her birthday party yesterday) , DS has had a temperature and horrid cough and wheeze since friday and today (D)H has taken to his bed with a cold! I know DH thinks I am being an unsympathetic cow, and I am, but he is an adult and it is a cold!

He staggered downstairs at 1030 this morning, moped around for a bit, I took the DCs out for about 5 hours without him (seeing Father Christmas etc) and he still thinks I should be being nicer to him I think! He has gone to bed again now. Men - pathetic really!

We had a nice day yesterday. DS struggled through it a bit but Freya was on good form and we had a small party for her just with family. It is her actual birthday on Tuesday. I am hoping her present to me is a good nights sleep!

KateKringle · 09/12/2012 21:10

Plague house here too Xmas Sad. DC's both still have colds, I was throwing up last night and feeling rough all day, then DD was sick this evening. Seems to be a 24 hour thing rather than norovirus though fortunately. Just hoping DS and DH don't get it too. Heading off for an early night and hoping to feel much better in the morning.

Signing in with sick children Xmas Sad

Aaron has S&d from Wednesday and was off school Thursday and Friday.

Thursday morning Hope eat a little bit of Aarons waffle from the sofa i missed and then had an allergic reaction to the egg in it. She had rash so took her to ooh dr at 10:10 on Thursday and she has been sick since then. She has not eaten but has water and bf ok.

I had to change the bedding five times and then used towles untill we ran out of them too. My drier is broken so hanging sheets and towels everywhere at the mo.

I have had no sleep as she wakes at night and is sick everywhere.

I dont.know if the s&d is the bug Aaron has or part of the allergic reation :(

I have to take her to the dr tomoro and im worried about the mmr injection as its cultavated in egg white!

Im just so tired. Aaron was only sick once and had lose poo.twice but Hope has been sick more than 15 times.in 48 hours. Im giving her water every 15 minutes and bf her on demand.

She has not been sick since 6am today so it must have worked its way out her system by now.

Aaron is going to school tomoro and i want to feed Hope light and.often to build her up and chase the repair guy for the machine. Air's school play is on Wednesday so dh has swaped days so he is working Monday but off Wendsday to come see the play with me and PIL will babysit Hope Xmas Blush

Get well soon all sick babies children and partners (barhumbug to winter colds)

(I should go to sleep but im off to read the.birth thread instead Xmas Blush)

LittleMissKitschmas · 09/12/2012 21:49

The week is almost over, fresh start tomorrow:)

Sad news about Patrick Moore, he was a legend:(

NorthernChinchilla · 09/12/2012 22:27

Wow... serious ((hugs)) and best wishes to all of the ill families. That sounds appalling air, hope that Hope is on the mend now. They may well delay the injections if she's been so ill.

And hope that yours is 'just' (ha!) a D&V and not the good ol' norovirus Kate.

My DP was saying he went to see a Patrick Moore lecture for his 21st birthday LMF, apparently he was guesting at our university, but I didn't see it.

Am now settling down to watch City be humiliated again Xmas Grin Xmas Grin (I have to be smug about it somewhere as I have to be such a good winner in front of DP!)

thekatsatonthematt · 10/12/2012 08:39

Goodness so many poorly! Get well soon everyone.

Happy birthday boi

Am sat outside Northampton sorting office as was 45 mins early for my first day! Training today (how to correctly handle envelopes??!) then start properly on Wed.

Trying not to think about the fact I've bought a stick to pee on

CheungFun · 10/12/2012 08:52

Morning everyone,

I can't believe we've got another poorly thread :( Hope that everyone is feeling better soon!

DS and I went to a 1st birthday party on Saturday, I only knew the little girl and her mum from playgroup but we had a lovely time and I can't wait for DS's birthday now :)

Sunday was a lazy day (well as lazy as you can get with a LO!), we went to see our friends doing a charity 'Santa Dash' i.e. sponsored dash through the town in Santa suits to raise money for the local hospice. I've volunteered DH & DS for next year. There were even a couple of dogs - very cute! Then we had our own dash around the supermarket, and home for lunch.

SevenElvesAndAReindeer · 10/12/2012 08:58

kat go pee on the stick, now!!

Happy birthday to BOi!

Sorry to hear of all poorly people, hope everyone is bette soon, and especially by Christmas!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 10/12/2012 09:39

vibes to Kat

seven, sorry about the bf guilt & it being rammed down your throat.
My local area isn't so bad about the bf.

Hope all the poorly people are feeling better soon!
DS had his first curry last night (chicken masala & saag aloo), so really not looking forward to his pooplosion Xmas Envy

FestiveFiggy · 10/12/2012 13:05

Aw hope some of the babies, siblings and parents are feeling better!!

Have had a weekend of bickering and moaning with DH really had quite enough, we are both as guilty of it as the other and i just cant seem to accept our differences anymore whereas before i would just shrug/grin and bear it i now want to scream the house down in frustration. Seriously need to sort it out but i am getting so wound up i just cant bring myself to be nice. Havent posted over the weekend as didnt want to bore everyone with my nonsensical rantings.......and now i have anyway Gahh!!!

Cheung we were also at a 1st bday party on saturday one of the Ante natal babies had a lovely time DS's is on Saturday and party bags are the bloody bane of my life i just wanted to give them all a selection box but DH has insisted we do bags like all the others (which is fair enough) but he has left them to me and with 15 kids coming ages 6mo-5yrs it is stressing me out more than anything else!!

Another happy birthday Boi

MissChristmastRee · 10/12/2012 16:32

Happy Birthday BOi!

BeeMyBaby · 10/12/2012 17:40

Happy birthday boi !

dd2 had a good birthday I think, though I've decided she is still very puppy like so you can imagine a dog wouldn't really understand what or why she was having a party. We didn't buy her anything but got a coat for her from DM, a pull along caterpillar from a friend which dd1 claimed as hers, and a small doll from DSIL which dd2 is using as a chew toy, very unlike dd1 who got a doll for her 1st birthday and cuddled and kissed it for ages, maybe the difference is that dd2 has a sister so doesn't feel the need to have a doll. Or as I said she is actually a small dog disguised as a baby.

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 10/12/2012 19:06

Happy 1st Birthday BOi

Sorry not been around much. Been so busy and not been near the laptop and I updated my iPhone and the app is pants. Keeps crashing!

Darcie had been doing amazing at school had 3 headteacher's awards last week alone! Has also been the only Yr3 student in the Christmas Choir :)

Sky has got 4 teeth and not been doing too well with teething, seems better now tho. Her diet change has been brilliant but the nursery chef & her keyworker thinks she may have a gluten issue too. We have a dietician appointment tomorrow so will be able to discuss more then.

I have been signed off work till 3rd January due to exhaustion and Fibromyalgia flare up. Been so tired and my joints hurt to the point where I am constantly nauseous :( However, being at home means I can rest whilst the girls are at school and then be a happier and better mummy than an unhappy and screaming harpy! So big talks about me becoming a SAHM in the new year which tbh will be better and we won't suffer financially as my wages are just a bonus each month.

The girls are in bed and DH is up the pub so I am going to get my home looking all Christmassy Xmas Grin

NorthernChinchilla · 10/12/2012 20:21

I'm guessing there has been discussion off-thread on facebook, but Happy Birthday BOi and go forth and pee Kat! How're you doing Gary?

Sorry you're having a trying time figgy, is DH still not Mumming up? You're a brave woman doing party bags for all those kids...I've seen friends get run ragged over this sort of thing, and birthdays in general, I'm not surprised you're stressed. I remember doing them for my sister's party, manically stuffing the damn things over the kitchen table and forgetting who'd got what in which bag Xmas Confused

Have fun Christmasy-fying the house DSM, it's a lovely job!

DP had mentioned ages ago that we may be getting a friend popping round...he now remembers that it's tomorrow, and we'll have to cook, but of course don't have enough food in as we meal plan and do it for two! Pita....

GaryBuseysTeeth · 10/12/2012 20:46

Happy Birthday BOi!

DSM, good news about being signed off, SAHM-ing being a deffo(?) and Darcie doing well at school.
Hope the dietician helps more tomorrow.

DS has days where he doesn't seem to be that hungry, he's not teething ill or waking early for feeds, so I guess that's ok?

Northen, we meal plan too, I have no idea what to do when people come over so we normally have takeaways, hope tomorrow isn't too much of a pita.

Doing well, thanks Northen, have booked a scan for next week (on DS's birthday, which DH is a bit peeved about...I don't get why, we'll be gone for 2 hours it's not like a 1 yr old will notice/care) & if all goes well then I'll see the GP some point just after Christmas.

Figgy , sorry you've had a crap weekend, hope this evening has been more peaceful?
Good luck with the party bags.

Kat, have you poas yet? Don't make me come over there and do it for you Xmas Grin

LittleMissKitschmas · 10/12/2012 21:38

I have a sack full of fish, pompoms and calpol bombs... Come and grab some!

I keep missing birthdays. Hope that the pup-impersonator had a good day Bee and that BOi is having a rocking day Oi!

AnAirOfHopeInAManger · 10/12/2012 22:44

Happy Birthday baby Oi and Bee

thekatsatonthematt · 11/12/2012 09:01

Ahem. I have poas. And then spent 20 mins finding the box with the pregnecare as I do indeed have dc2 growing inside me.

I set fire to my diary a few weeks ago (don't ask) so not too sure of my dates but would guess about 4 weeks.

I'm so excited about starting work I'm a little bit Xmas Hmm

Have told no one in rl. Should be an interesting conversation, with dh tonight.

KateKringle · 11/12/2012 09:28

Grin I was slightly in shock when I got BFP with DS....once I'd got my head round it I was v pleased. Good luck with the conversation with DH, I'm sure it will go well. Twas clearly meant to be!

AnAirOfHopeInAManger · 11/12/2012 09:46
GaryBuseysTeeth · 11/12/2012 09:49

Xmas Grin Congrats Kat!!!

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 11/12/2012 09:56

Congrats Kat

CheungFun · 11/12/2012 09:56

Morning everyone,

I'm not sure what is going on with DS at the moment, yesterday he had 4 naps and today he's on nap 2 already! He's still sleeping approx 12 hours at night. Is this a sign of a growth spurt or is he just exhausted from trundling around on his baby walker?

Congratulations Kat Xmas Grin

Hope it all works out so you can be a SAHM DSM. Isn't stress meant to exacerbate the symptoms of fibromyalgia? If so, hopefully the change will probably help that as well?

Figgy no useful advice I'm afraid, but lots of sympathies - this has certainly been a tough year on all of our relationships I think. Hope you can have a proper conversation with DH and work things out.

I feel really behind, so we have a baby Kat on the way and haven't we got another two more pregnant ladies on the thread? :)
