I loved kate's thread name but thought we needed a birthday theme for this one. We'll soon have 6 weeks of birthdays to celebrate!

We had a clingy repeatedly waking beeb last night (Gold star for DH for getting up when I didn't always wake up first) , nothing wrong, he just wanted hugs and to suck our fingers. I wish he'd suck his own blooming fingers!!!

DSM have you tried using a TENS machine before? They can be v helpful for recurrent back/hip pain and are non chemical...

Have written most of the to-do list. She is Vairy Vairy long.
I want to hide under the duvet and ignore it, but we're out of milk so instead I shall pootle to the Co-Op.

Aethel No never tried a tens machine. Never used one in labour either. Will have to have a look around.

Need to find out how much Movicol I can give Sky to clear her out!

Feel so low just broke down in tears this morning Sad

SevenElvesAndAReindeer · 24/11/2012 09:02

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 24/11/2012 09:04

Seven Thanks Smile

Aethelfleda · 24/11/2012 11:01

dsm I've PM'd you. There are two types of tens machines, you need the one that's not for pregnancy: apparently they have different frequencies or something? They vibrate in a certain way that numbs the back pain nerves from little adhesive pads you stick on your back. My mum used to use one for her back pain years ago.

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 24/11/2012 11:04

Aethel Thanks. I'll have a good look into them and see whats out there and the ££££

Figgygal · 24/11/2012 13:30

Am taking figgyboy to a 1st bday party at 2 already there but sat in the car can't believe got parked straight into a space as had had a text to say it was car park carnage as its at the local soft play next to the shopping centre of our town. he's asleep thankfully had been up since 8.30 and desperately needed a nap I took some irn bru and a book in case we got this lucky!! it's utterly chucking it down!!

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 24/11/2012 13:44

Aethelfleda · 24/11/2012 14:34

air, dude, you alright over there??

AnAirOfHopeForSnow · 24/11/2012 16:20

We had a row - we never row. Im so upset.

I may be over reacting as anti depressents are not working yet.

Right Hope birthday none of my family can get my mum is ill, no Aunties or Uncles are going so its just us and my inlaws going for a meal. Im fine with that but i wanted to make the cake as i want it egg free so she can eat it.

I have spent the morning trying to get the cake right. I finanle get it right and my horrible husband said " Well never mind i have already ask my mum to make the cake and if you take ours you will upset her now"

He didnt think i could do it so asked his fucking mum before i even tried. I have been storing the suger firies and all the crap all week because he wouldnt let me buy a cake for £40 and then he asked his mum because it will save money and its her first gdaughter.

I feel unsupported and just rage. He know what i was doing all week and so did his mum and no one said anything to me Angry

So his mum has made the cake, will pay for the meal, Her friend may also come for meal and they will buy the bigger gift and i just get sidelined again.

AnAirOfHopeForSnow · 24/11/2012 16:57

I feel sick f the side effects of the tablets and my moods are all over the place and i know its just a cake she will not rember but im just angry.

I know im a bit obsested and its just a cake. My Mil will do the cake and i can decorate it. It will be fine. I still want to cry.

I want to cry because im ill from thinking im fine and stopping taking the tablets and then not being and taking them again and now i feel worse.

AnAirOfHopeForSnow · 24/11/2012 17:00

Im angry im ill

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 24/11/2012 17:34

Air What would make you happy right now. You need to think about yourself & the DC right now x

Yay for Figgyboy Grin

MerryChristMoose · 24/11/2012 17:53

Mind if I join you? DS, Harrison, will be 1 on 27th December. We moved to Canada from UK in May 2011.

H is coming off the end of wonder week 46 - clingy, cranky and crying. He's not walking independently yet but does pull himself up and stand for ages by himself. He can also climb stairs at lightening speed.

Still no teeth though Sad but this does have advantages when you're still Breastfeeding.

AnAirOfHopeForSnow · 24/11/2012 18:11

Hello MerryChristMoose

To make me happy to have a nice girly birthday cake for Hope and have a nice family meal out Grin

MerryChristMoose · 24/11/2012 18:16

Thanks Air I hope your wish is granted.

MissChristmastRee · 24/11/2012 18:22

Helloooo Merry welcome to the madhouse Grin

Sympathies Air, not sure I have any advice for you other than deep breaths and saying it tastes funny

DP's appointment went OK. They sort of ruled out bone marrow issues, apart from saying that they will be sending his MRI results and bloods to another specialist who will be in touch IF they think there's something important going on. Otherwise he has 3 dehydrated discs which are causing him the pain. No remedy other than not to lift anything Hmm and lose weight!

Just figured out why Freya has been a grumpy bum - top tooth is through! She is now very confidently pulling herself up on everything and standing independently for up to 30 seconds at a time. I think we will have a toddler come Christmas Shock We also have "ellloooooo" when she wants attention and proper bye bye waving!

I have spent FAR too much money on Amazon's Black Friday deals this week. some most of them are Xmas pressies though Grin

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 24/11/2012 18:32

Welcome MerryChristMoose to the madhouse that is Dec 2011 Grin

Air I hope you get your wish.

Feeling like pants and I really hope Sky sleeps better tonight.

AnAirOfHopeForSnow · 24/11/2012 18:56

I got myself some Rocket dog boots for £25 off amazon for xmas i just hope they fit!
