lots of disruption our end too. sqealing every hour on the hour and then waking in lots of discomfort. she's even been sick a few times so it's busy in the nights at the mo. the doc doesn't think anything's actually wrong so maybe it's those pesky teeth! she is being quite naughty and nipping me too when she gets frustrated (ouch!)

oh NM you don't live in plaxtol or shipbourne do you??

hello daisy {smile] our stells was indeed born on 21st too. no signs of walking yet but i'm keen for it to start even if it's just to save her knees.

mb hope you've got your first babe to mind. mmx

nervousmum · 04/09/2006 20:31

Bad day - see the 'absolutely fuming' thread on the Chat section if you're interested. Basically, looks like we're going to have to pull out of buying our dream new-build home Back to square one again

Joey's been out of sorts all day too - he probably picked up on all the tension! And he's teething again. I hoep he doesn't have as much trouble as when his top teeth came through, they were huge! It's no wonder he turned into a grump-monster! Nm x

Yokefleet · 05/09/2006 08:09

nm sorry to hear that, hope that you can get something sorted soon.
I have got my neice (nearly 3) for the day today and am also having a house alarm fitted (been meaning to do this since we moved in, that was January though!) Well anyway between her and Thomas they are already running me ragged and its only just gone 8!!!!!!!!!!!

mozarellamamma · 05/09/2006 11:08

hello

nm sorry to hear about your house . i know it sounds like hippy nonsense but we had a similar thing happen on our last home and in the end we found somewhere much more gorgeous. So whilst it's no comfort now and you probably hate me for saying it i'm sure it'll turn out even better in the end. but feel free to flame me !hope the teeth aren't too painful stell's seem to be calming a bit. fingers crossed.

yokefleet so busy by 8am and installing things bli i feel well lazy by comparison and i'm still ready for a kip. mm xx

Yokefleet · 05/09/2006 12:18

mm Roll on 2pm is all I can say as the workmen promise to have finished by then and my sister has called to say that she is getting out of work earlier then first thought so I can have the rest of the afternoon just me and Thomas (can't wait)

Jockey · 05/09/2006 16:41

NM sorry to hear your news. I've had a similar experience to Mozarellamamma, if it is any consolation. We are very content where we live at the moment, but after quite a bit of stress.

Am also feeling run ragged today, as friends have been in and it has tripled the workload. It is so much easier when you only have your own kids to look after! I'll sleep tonight. Only hope that the LO does too.

nervousmum · 05/09/2006 21:05

Ah, there's nothing like a glass of wine and a bit of on-line retail therapy to cheer oneself up We've decided to continue trying to sell our house, then once we've got an offer we'll start looking again for our dream home. For what it's worth, 3 other couples pulled out of their sales today because of the builder's bullying tactics, so it's the builder that's going to lose out in the long run!

Joey managed to injure himself earlier - i was on the phone to the solicitor when he decided to nose-dive into his plastic shape sorter He had a little howl, and he's got a bruised chin now! Boys will be boys! NM x

DontlookatmeImshy · 05/09/2006 22:00

Hi Ladies. Haven't been on for a couple of weeks, been trying to keep up with the ladies onthe FLYing thread and get myself a sparklyclean tidyhouse. please excuse any dodgy tying,ds pulled the space bar off and we haven'tmanaged to get it backonproperly.

Welcome Daisy

Wow YF-10 teeth already, ds is only just cutting his 4th but is really suffering poor lad.

Congrats to Evie onher first steps. They are alldoing somany new things at the moment. It's quite exciting

lol MB-Johnny sounds like he iskeepingyou on your toes.

Jockey -lolat the keys. We gave ds our redundant batteryless old sky remote but does he want that one.Ohnohewants the newshiny freeview thingy one.Grrrrrr

Sorry to hear about your houseproblems NM,although it doessoundlike you are better off out of it. Is it a smallindependant builder rather than one of the bigcompanies.

Anyway ds is very busy crawling, climbing stairs, playing with daddys hi-fi stuff ,hiding behind curtains and giggling, climbing out of his highchair and generally keepingme busy and totally unableto get anything else done except when he'sasleep.

nervousmum · 06/09/2006 08:50

Dontlookatmeimshy - we did the same thing with Sky remotes! When we had our box upgraded to HD, we gave Joey the old remote. He knows the difference (how? They are identical remotes!?!), and will still try every trick in the book to get the real one!

Oh, and they were small independent builders. We went with them originally, thinking we'd get a better service! How wrong were we NM x

mawbroon · 06/09/2006 09:03

Ach, NM that's a pisser but I too sort of believe in "what's for ye will no go by ye" as they say up here.

Don't look at me I'm shy - did you get your house a-sparklin' then? My sister does fly lady, but she lives abroad so I haven't seen her house for years so don't know if it works for her.

Johnny seems to have got over his blip. He has slept through again for the last two nights and just seems calmer all round except for some biting. Oddly enough, it's not when I'm feeding him, but at strange random moments when holding him. He seems like he's snuggling in, and then I feel the little sharp fangs ouch. I think prevention is the best solution for now, but sometimes he sneaks one in and then he gets told "no" and I sit him on the ground and walk away. Then he cries and I feel all sad for him. I'm too soft!
We are away on hols on Friday, going to a wedding. I'm not looking forward to the 8 hours in the car though

RedTartanLass · 07/09/2006 11:20

Hi All

Not been on for such a long time, I need someone to MSN me to catch up on all the mumsnet goss!!
Anybody pregnant yet!!!

Och I've missed you guys......

RedTartanLass · 07/09/2006 11:21

MawBroon are you still coming down my way?

mawbroon · 07/09/2006 16:17

Hey everyone. I am going to meet RTL on Monday! (Hope she's not a hairy handed trucker )
We are heading off early tomorrow for a week in sunny Herefordshire (or at least I hope it's going to sunny) so I won't be posting for a while.
Hope everyone has a good week.

MB

nervousmum · 08/09/2006 20:28

Hope you have a lovely holiday Mawbroon

Joey stood totally unaided by anything earlier! He was playing, then all of a sudden stood up and stayed standing completely unsupported for a good few minutes. I put my arms out to him, thinking 'is this going to be his first proper walking?', he outstretched his arms to me....then he just flopped down to his knees and crawled over to me instead! Still v cute though

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I've got my MRI scan on my shoulder tomorrow afternoon - wish me luck! Take care All, NM x

Elf1981 · 08/09/2006 21:17

Off shopping tomorrow to spend my birthday pennies!

MB - have a good hol
NM - congrats on the standing! Evie did that for a while once she learnt but now you cant stop her, she walks for hours now! Cant believe it really, looks so grown up! Good luck with the scan btw.

orangegiraffe · 08/09/2006 21:22

Hi all

I am taking him to Chester zoo.

01kiwicath · 11/09/2006 08:25

Hi ya

I'm new to mumsnet and london.....been here just over a month from NZ.
I have a dd 10 mths, Dominique and she is hanging out for some new friends!!!
Do you get together at all???
We are in North Greenwich, anyone close by?

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and to maybe meet up soon

Daisy05 · 11/09/2006 10:27

Hi all! Welcome 01KiwiCath
DP works away a lot at the moment so I don't get much time to log on. Thanks all for the welcome. KiwiCath we live over in west london, not really practical for visiting but you never know.
Birthdays... less than 6 weeks to go now! Can't wait. We are taking DD to a little farm where she can stroke guinea pigs and rabbits and crawl about in the play area. It'll be fab Walked past a party shop yesterday and just had to pop in and buy some balloons...

novadandypowder · 11/09/2006 10:47

Hi, sorry, I'm on the Nov thread but dd was born 15th oct so I sometimes pop on here to see where your babes are at.

Couldn't help but notice you're in west London Daisy - whereabouts? I'm in Ladbroke Grove are you anywhere near there?

Oh, and I'm pg again (saw that someone asked a bit further down) In fact there are 3 of us expecting on the Nov thread, one in feb, one in march, and one in april!

Yokefleet · 11/09/2006 15:34

novadandypowder Congratulations! I can't imagine being pg again, how are you doing?
01kiwicath Welcome and we are scattered all over england, scotland and I am in Wales
RTL good to see you back on the boards, that last time we msn'd we did actually manage to bulid the bunk beds without any falling out between dh and myself, very unusual when doing any DIY! How many teeth has your lo got now? from what I remember your lo had lots early on.
mb bit late I know but I hope you are having a wonderful holiday (and was RTL a hairy handed trucker???? )
Daisy05 Sounds like a lovely idea for your little ones birthday (I wouldn't dare take Thomas somewhere like that yet as he is biting and pulling hairs on everything at the moment!)
orangegiraffe are you new to this thread or have you had a name change? If you are new then Welcome! Congratulations for your ds's first tooth We are having a little family tea party for ds's first birthday with all our relatives in Yorkshire (so not really that little!) Most of them haven't seen Thomas in the flesh since Xmas.
elf Hope your gran is doing ok and I hope that this week isn't as manic for you. (and a belated happy birthday too!)

mummylovesus · 11/09/2006 17:39

Hi everyone hope you are all fab!! Not been on the computer for months but have been thinking about all of you and the little ones. We are doing great, Cameron is my little star and I can't beleive that next month all of our babies will be ONE !!!

Elf1981 · 11/09/2006 19:01

Can anybody elses lo climb the stairs? Evie managed half way up at our house the other day. I'd popped into the kitchen to pour her a drink, by the time I got back she was up the stairs. I was so shocked. She just turned and grinned at me, the cheeky minx!

nervousmum · 11/09/2006 20:18

Elf - Joey managed to climb 3 stairs before i'd noticed what he was doing. It suddenly went v quiet, which usually means mischief, so i went to investigate - good job i did, as i just managed to catch him before he fell backwards and nearly bashed his head on the tiled hallway floor

He had a whale of a time today. We put him in one of those car trolleys in Tescos and he was happily 'driving' along and tooting the horn while i did the shopping. (NB. I know the age on them is from 18 months+, but i'd securely attached him with a 5 point harness first so there was no danger of him falling out!!!) NM x

Elf1981 · 12/09/2006 04:42

bless I bet he looked so sweet!
Evelyn has a whale of a time when we put her in the normal shopping trolleys rather than the baby seat ones. She holds onto the bar, grinning at everybody around her!

Yokefleet · 12/09/2006 07:14

ELF Thomas has been climbing the stairs for a couple of weeks, its so funny because he stops after every couple of steps to watch the tv in the lounge by holding his face between the bannister holding on he looks like he's in jail
mummylovesus good to see you back
nervousmum does your Tesco's have many of those trolleys? our local one is a Tesco Extra, really huge store and it only has 2 of those trolleys. I hate taking my neice there as she always wants one and crys when she see's someone else in it On the other hand we managed to get one on Saturday and Thomas loved it (horn didn't work though!) but the one we had was really akward to control.
