Whoop ubw. Have a fab Christmas.

chillikat · 23/12/2012 21:38

We're now at my parents but poor M is getting her lady molars through and is suffering Sad Hasn't really had tea for the last 2 days and terrible drooling. BF doesn't seem to help either. I think it might hurt to suck Sad. So we're expecting another bad night. So it might be bedtime for us soon.
Hope the oven gets fixed and all sickness clears up.
Happy Christmas everyone.Grin

Starshaped · 23/12/2012 21:43

Must admit I snorted at your mum being ridden in too Xmas Grin

Is it just me or is the telly absolutely rubbish tonight? Has nobody told them it's Christmas?! DH is out, so Homeland is being recorded, and there's nothing else on. I have resorted to bloody Joanna Lumley and the search for Noah's ark. Bad times.

Starshaped · 23/12/2012 21:44

Merry Christmas chilli. Hope M is ok and you all get some sleep.

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 23/12/2012 23:04

It's a John Lewis oven! So I'm expecting grovelling and copious amounts of waitrose food! Xmas Grin

It appears to be a common thing to happen whe. You used the pyrolytic setting. Oven overheats and the safety thermostat kicks in. However, what that means is it cuts the power to the entire oven, including the door lock that comes on during the cycle dur to the 500 degree heat it gets up to! To reset it we need to get into the back of the oven, but I can't do it because the oven door is locked! Can you see the problem here! I just hope dad can get into it without having to rip up my kitchen!

Just finished wrapping! It's nearly here!!

Kittycatcat · 24/12/2012 09:04

Happy Christmas Eve wonderful Aprilites. Have a fabulous Christmas. Love to you and your families.

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 24/12/2012 12:28

Well the elves didn't arrive last night. I had an engineer booked to come today for the princely sum of £80 call out. But my dad is convinced he can fix it so I cancelled the man

Mum is buying a halogen oven thing just incase (she doesn't have the faith I do in dad obviously)

Only think I might struggle to do is the filo wrapped prawns. But I think we can survive without them! Could probably fry them to add to tomorrow's calorie intake!

So this is going to be a Christmas we remember for years to come! The one where the oven broke! Xmas Grin

Merry Christmas to you all! See you on the other side! Wine

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 24/12/2012 18:05

Daddy fizz has failed :(

I'm trying not to be annoyed at cancelling the engineer. And failing.

ILikeToHoHoHo · 24/12/2012 18:33

Count to 10, and repeat .......

I am sure you will pull off your Christmas banquet by other means. Drink lots of Snowballs, Champers and Baileys and all will be well.

Merry Christmas Aprilites, you're one bunch of fantastic ladies xxx

Kittycatcat · 24/12/2012 19:45

Proclaimers on the radio. Drink and be merry. Stuff the turkey Wink.

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 24/12/2012 19:54

:) I'm over it now! The halogen oven looks like a winner.

Kittycatcat · 24/12/2012 20:42

Fabulous. Unjust assembled the cleaning trolley. Its brilliant!!

Kittycatcat · 24/12/2012 20:43

I've just not unjust

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 24/12/2012 21:55

Dsis has wrapped Bs in the box. So we will have to build it to or row!

The play tent we bought is quite a bit bigger than we thought! Dsis has just tested it out! Oh my god, I'm wheezing from laughing! I have cideoed it. Might post it on the fb page later! Hilarious!

Kittycatcat · 25/12/2012 00:54

Only took me 5 mins fizz.

Do do do. Took dh two hours to build the desk.

Kittycatcat · 25/12/2012 13:38

Thank you ss for s's bookGrin

GsyPotatoMincePieEyed · 26/12/2012 00:46

Xmas Grin at ILike and the PIL'S wine choices. Are you sure we're not related?

Hope the halogen cooker went ok Fizz, my mum swears by hers.

Thank you secret Santa, for P's Cuddly Santa. He has forgone the traditional sleigh transportation for today in favour of accompanying Jessie from Toy Story in a pink pushchair. I was also most impressed by the parcel wrapping. Must have been a whole roll of brown tape on there but it did the job and reached us safely. Xmas Smile

Lunch at the Pils went ok, although I forgot to get any chestnuts Xmas Sad.

DS has had a bit of a funny tummy on and off the last couple of weeks and chose in the middle of Christmas lunch for a bit of pant seepage. So instead of sitting down to a nice hot dinner, I was hand-washing pants. Xmas Hmm On the plus side he did have new pants and PJ's in his stocking so at least he had something to wear.

fraktion · 26/12/2012 20:08

Hope the Aprilites have had lovely Christmases! We are home from PILs - will post longer update later!

ILikeToHoHoHo · 26/12/2012 22:30

Thank you for ds's SS present Xmas Grin

It was some play breakfast food and both boys LOVE it. They have been taking turns making me breakfast. Roll on the days when it happens for real!

Kittycatcat · 26/12/2012 23:25

Mn needs an fb 'like'!! The amount of times I've gone to do it on here. Hope you are all having lovely ones. One of my fave presents is a leather bracelet with a silver 'tag' engraved one side with Samuel and Alexander and their dob's on the reverse.

MrsWajs · 27/12/2012 14:20

Just popping in to off load the brie, pate and wine that I may no longer consume................
