friz -ditto! dd loves hungry caterpillar! she tries to poke her little finger through the holes in the food pictures in the book - i thought that was pretty clever for a 5 month old (but then i would, wouldnt i )

hi astro - cake sounds delicious

gothicmama · 11/08/2006 23:15

laundrylover · 12/08/2006 11:10

Just saying hello before girls return from park. Meant to be getting jobs done!!!

UniSarah · 12/08/2006 13:26

hope the thanksgiving service goes well. We are having a welcome party in teh slot a christening might have had, thought about christening but we were ambivilant about it so decided not to. just getting all teh families together in stead.

Boy looks like a little super hero at teh mo. hes got a bib on, that twisted back to front and looks like a cape and hes rolling onto his side with 2 cape2 flying behind him. Not exactly superman, more the caped chewer. Every feed now seems to end with me saying oww, NO. and removing him from boob coz he's bit me.

Frizbe · 13/08/2006 15:28

Lol at caped chewer I think we have the female version here, the caped gummer!!
Just a quick fly by, as all happy here and dh actually at home, so am off for a relax in the bath!
Astro, hope the service went well send us all some virtual cake crumbs eh!

Hi everyone. Love hearing these little ancdotes about everyones LOs!

Well, our Thanksgiving service went well today and the lad was beautifuly behaved as he was passed from Godmother to Mummy to Daddy to Vicar and back to Daddy! Little Lu was a bit bewildered by the whoel thing but I think quite enjoyed being "up the front"...I suspect we will have trouble keeping her in the pews next week!

Our party at the park was eained out, so we went to the Church hall instead. Not nearly as pleasant, but still a nice arvo. T'was a lovely day...might post a photo for you all if I think of it...how do you do that on here? Maybe will put one on our website instead...

Not happy about this weather...surely summer is not over??? Oh...say it aint so!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

laundrylover · 13/08/2006 23:23

Glad it went well Astro -put a pic on members profiles perhaps?
We were at a funeral on Fri and Tilly was very noisy all the way through.
She spent the night at my mum's last night and was really good. We took Kiah to friends and I got a bit tiddled so my friend had to run us home. She's pregnant so it was a real case of tables turned. Our plans for a trial camp in mum's field got rained off too but forecast looks to be picking up again...

Frizbe · 14/08/2006 17:07

LL we can't be looking at the same forecast surely, the one I've seen says ok Tue, rest of week, pants, pants n more pants (and probably a few frogs thrown in too!) Thus I shall not be taking dd1 camping on dh's 11 day event, as she's taken to screaming at the rain in the tent, you may all recall......dh not happy at thought of event in rain, with no me providing nice food and loving hugs (ahhhhhhh) me not happy at being at home with kids for 11 days and no dh, but there you go eh! money has to be earnt somehow!

Astro glad it went well yesterday, photos please!!

welll.....We appear to have a pooey bug here, dd2 poo in every nappy, ss lost control on way round supermarket earlier, cue cruel stepmum who made him dust himself off in toilet as best he could as I needed to finish paying for the shop (guess where we were at the time, shop were good and finished the packing for us and looked after dd2, whilst I sorted him out!)but I did take him straight home afterwards and chuck him in the bath/clothes in wash.....(sitting on plastic bag in car just in case!) hoping dd1 is ok, as she was a bit trotty yesterday, but I've sent her to nursery today, as she seemed ok in herself this am....I'll find out in half hour!! oh the joys of kids....

OP posts:
Astrophe · 14/08/2006 18:31

hmmm, our 2 have had the poos too. yucky. hope you recover quickly.

if anyone wants to see photos, go to
www dot israelfamily dot whereareyou dot net
then send an email to me at the address given there, and I will email you the website password.

Sorry, tis a bit confusing but don't want any random stranger reading this thread to see our pics.

laundrylover · 15/08/2006 09:34

Ah yes Friz the weather does seem to be going downhill from Thurs! DP must have checked an earlier, more optomistic forecast! Still hoping to go camping tho......
at tummy bugs - hope you are all better by now.
My whole family was together yesterday which is a rare occurence and all 4 siblings and partners had a very raucous curry at our local restaurant. I felt a bit sorry for the other diners as we were like cackling witches. Tilly is loving seeing her cousin from down south who is just walking. They are all off doing stuff today whilst I 'work'!

Frizbe · 15/08/2006 16:09

I'm hoping the forecast is wrong too ll, but I'm thinking not.......boooo....let's hope we get a good september!
Astro, will do that in a bit!
dh got the trots here today.....

OP posts:
Astrophe · 15/08/2006 18:43

oohh, yes, hoping for a good september...summer was too short. is a good sept likely? we are just about to buy a tent so hope to gt some use out of it this year!

friz, whats your game plan for coping without dh for 11 days? will you have ss as well?

Frizbe · 16/08/2006 20:17

Astro love the photos what a lovely family you have

Game plan! harhhhhhhhh, gibber......we don't have ss, so there's only the two to deal with! The weekend won't be too bad, as gona dash to see my parents one day, so that breaks things up a bit, and we have another friend with kids whose dh is also working, so shall hopefully meet up with her another day, next week will be puncutated by my mum coming over on Wed, and I've just arranged a friend on Wed pm to keep my sanity, as with him away I can't go exerciseing at night! so fingers x'd it all shouldn't be too bad, we have a wedding planned for next weekend as well and that's an away do for two days, and I have a standin friend (female) for dh! so I hope with all that planning I can cope and of course there's always mumsnet!!

OP posts:
UniSarah · 16/08/2006 21:21

Lo all. just popping in to see what up on teh mumsnet front. Boy and I have had a busy day, hes in a phase of only power napping so by late afternoon hes getting quite grumpy. I had my 1st go at expressing milk today- wasn;t bad, didn;t get much ( 20ml in 5 min for stat freaks), but was working out how to do it rather than aiming to fill a bucket. Boy certainly prefered drinking that from a cup than water.
Got Dh's B/D pressie today and some more christmas pressies for nieces, hows that for forward planning. D's B/d is in Oct and cricket stuff is rather hard to find then. MiL is going to America to see grandchildren in Sept, so will send Christmas box over with her.
Good luck in your week home alone Friz.

laundrylover · 16/08/2006 22:18

Hi girls - so organized Sarah, I'm impressed.
Friz, you'll be fine I'm sure but do keep us updated...
Astro haven't got to your website yet but will do it now.

laundrylover · 16/08/2006 23:14

Lovely photos Astro and great cakes!

Frizbe · 17/08/2006 09:03

Uni your far to organised Xmas prezzies already! I guess we'd better start thinking about it too....
LL as if I wouldn't

OP posts:
Frizbe · 17/08/2006 09:22

this
LL can you answer the above thread with your wisdom?!

OP posts:
UniSarah · 17/08/2006 20:26

The cristmas pressie thing is a bad habit i'm afraid. I spent 15 years working on Pantomimes at christmas and got into the habit of having pressies and cards sorted BEFORE I got too busy with work in teh 1st week of december to think of anything but sleep and work till in to new year. Gaining a clutch of necies and nephs in America just made it worse as surface mail parcels need to be posted in October to be sure of getting to them in December! This year MiL is goingto vist them in sept, so its even eariler... I'm sending out next years B/D pressies too...

gothicmama · 17/08/2006 20:29

wow you are organised uni - I am tryingto be as i 've gotta feeling I will be busy from September

laundrylover · 17/08/2006 22:54

Have done Friz.
Gothic are you on work placement again soon?

gothicmama · 18/08/2006 19:53

LL yes it will all start up again soon- never mind it will be worth it when I graduate in July .
Off at the weekend to see my new neice (hopefully she and ds will get on - well as much as babies can)

Frizbe · 18/08/2006 20:29

Good luck for your final year then Gothic

Uni, that's the difference between ladies who do panto and men, my stage mgr mate always delivers the kids xmas prezzies in January! lol.....

Well dh is gone and the girls are in bed (by 7.30, record!) both shattered, so both will be up v early knowing my luck, best not drink too much of this wine hope your all doing good out there?

OP posts:
gothicmama · 18/08/2006 20:57

Friz thanks and thank for making dd's night she thinks it's wicked that you mentioned her on big bro thread. Hope you don't get woken to early tomorrow.

Frizbe · 18/08/2006 21:25
