munz. but i'm sure he wasn't starving or would be screaming 24 7 hey? just a bit peckish i'd say. good to have something to work towards but 10 ice cubes don't feel bad if he wont take that much...mine wouldn't and is a glutton (and has also dropped centiles btw...think they do it at thia age as they get more active)

really going now...

quootiepie · 02/08/2006 16:59

If feeling broody again. I cant try probably 'til March as BFing. And mum'll kill me

Forgot to say - length of labour 22 hours - even though its on my record as 6 (??) dont get that.

munz · 02/08/2006 16:59

ahy I guewss your right, so far today he's had 4 cubes and I thought that was loads for him but he woolfed those down (what a mixture - potatos, carrot, butternut squash and cauil cheese! lol) still boy couldn't get it in there quick enough! lol.

will add a bit more to the stats so keep em coming!

quootiepie · 02/08/2006 17:00

oh, and DH 23

munz · 02/08/2006 17:01

(ooh and baby's weight as well please - I know i'm picky! lol)

quootiepie · 02/08/2006 17:11

6lb 6oz... he had a knot in his umbilical cord aswell!

laundrylover · 02/08/2006 17:31

blinkin eck you lot have been chatty!
me 34
dp 38
tilly 2.5
kiah 28/03/06
half a homebirth as hospital for last 2 hours. lots and lots of gas and air!
7lb 8

Munz - why do you think that Joey won't want your boobies soon? Loads of people feed until 2 years or more so why not carry on til you TTC?? I think you like it really eh?
By the way my sis had Kiah weighed this week and she has dropped from the 50th to below the 25th but meither me nor HV are worried. she is still putting on and am not even thinking of weaning her yet. Munz why would your HV advice formula? Think your best course of action is to stop having him weighed and carry on as you are cos ypu're doing great.
Ooh, can I have a gloat please? Kiah slept for 12 hours last night!!!! mind you Tilly did fall out of bed so still had to get up but 12 hours!!!!

laundrylover · 02/08/2006 17:31

sorry welcome to you Q

quootiepie · 02/08/2006 20:03

thankyou - nice to be part of a little community

munz · 02/08/2006 20:11

LL - if the truth be known I do, I'm the sad gushy one about BF! ;lol. tbh I don't mind dropped BF during the night as then DH can do them! lol.

still boy's had a little porridge b4 bed tonight (had a late night thou at 7.45) so we shall see. v v of all u girls who have babies sleeping thru!

Astrophe · 02/08/2006 20:45

Munz...Eli was 9Lb 2oz born.
Agree with LL...why you need to stop BF if you don't want t? I fed my DD until 14 months and she was (obviously) eating solids by then! Also, she dropped from 97th to 50th centile in her 1st 6 months, and has stayed at 50th. Some kids just do that, no matter what you feed them! Try not to worry (but can't take own advice )

QT, my 1st labour was 26 hours from decent contractions to end, but it says 15 on my records...suposedly 'active labour' for 15. Really annoyed me...I felt completely ripped off!
Your DS must be a good sleeper for you to be broody already! I suspect Munzy ad Rom are not yet!!!! (and I'm not...2 are plenty for now!

Nice to see you LL, 12 HOURS!!!!! Lucky you!

chellebelle · 02/08/2006 21:04

Even though am broody already (and that's with Emily not playing the sleeping game very well recently) don't think we'll be having another one until she is about 3 or 4. I quite like having a larger age gap - although don't want quite want 6 years again next time.

Munz, at your HV - there is no reason why you should completely stop Bfing! Fair enough up his solids but your milk contains so much goodness that manufacturers will never be able to get into formula! (wanders away mumbling... flipping HVs... ...Grr...)

Emily has also lost weight recently so reckon it's just an age thing - too many of them doing it and being fed in all different ways for it to be something that we are doing wrong.

For the stats: Emily was 8lb 12oz

Anyway, time for Jane Hall now. See ya later!

quootiepie · 02/08/2006 21:10

Good sleeper??? HA! He went...4 hours the other night. When he woke for a feed, I couldnt believe it was 3am! 2/3 is most normal. But still... his little face when hes drinking away...

romilly · 02/08/2006 21:21

awwwww yes QT, i can still babygaze happily at 2/3/4am - soooo adorable our warm and snuggly sleepy babies

munz - my dd was 8lbs exactly, but seriously dont do stats, u r wayyyyy too busy (as am i, lol...)

astrophe - yup, correct - i am not at all broody for no.2. too knackered to even contemplate weaning at the moment, let alone TTC another

who is waiting til 6 months to wean then?

quootiepie · 02/08/2006 21:28

im waiting... he seems way too tiny to eat more! I cant wait though! (IYSWIM)

gothicmama · 02/08/2006 21:29

Hi all, Munz if he was starving he would be crying all the time or very still, just start to give food before milk and keep offeing ittil he refuses then feed DD had teh same prob when weaning and she is fine now.

Stats
Me 35
Dh 41
Gothicchild 5
Gothicbaby 25/03 8lb 6 oz labour 3 hours natural (posterior)g&a pethadine

laundrylover · 02/08/2006 22:21

Oops got Kiah's birthday wrong! She was born on the 29th March - it was Tilly who was born on the 28th Feb! Der!
For the record my labours were both veeeeery long. First time took days (sod this 'active' labour lark, it's all the same to me) and this time from 10pm til 2pm next day. If I ever had another (which I won't believe me) I would have my membranes broken at the off set and have the blighter out in 20 mins.
I'm waiting til 6 months Q as we are in Spain in Sept and can't be arsed basically. If she's starving before that she can chew a banana I guess. Tilly was 5.5 months and I only weaned her then cos I was bored!

laundrylover · 03/08/2006 20:58
