Hi ladies, have created this to start our postnatal thread, so fire away!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
munz · 01/08/2006 20:04

no jared food I forgott o take some ice cubes out for him today and as we're packing/cleaning the house it was easier to give him a jar. it was about 3/4 of the 125g one, he woolfed it down and I think he'd have had more given the chance, but instead he had a suck on a necturine.

quootiepie · 01/08/2006 20:17

Welcome QT.
Hi everyone. Just a quick hello.
My parents are here, DD had a sicky bug today so stayed at home while they went to Chester. Said 'twas lovely.
DS slept through last night!!! But was up with DD anyway.
Rom, so pleased you've found something thats working.
Are we having a new thread with stats?
Agree, Munz, don't do it at the mo, just pack, and spend spare time eating chockie or drinking red.

quootiepie · 01/08/2006 22:36

stats?

Astrophe · 01/08/2006 22:43

stats = someone posts with everyone's details (age, bubs age, location etc)so we can all refer to it. I think its going to be at the start of a new thread as this one is getting very long!

So, I will start to make it easier for whoever ends up doing it (talk about passing the buck! )...

25 years
DD 2.1 years
DS Elijah James born 09 March
Aussie living in Derby for DHs work

Love your DS's name QT

quootiepie · 01/08/2006 22:49

Thanks... ok

Age : 20
DS : Born 27.03.06
Location : Bracknell, Berkshire

chellebelle · 02/08/2006 00:03

Have been lurking thought I ought to add stats to make life easier

OK:
Me 26
DH 28
DS 6
DD Emily Grace born 09 March
All happily living in Coventry (well as happy as anyone sent to Coventry can be - tee hee )

Astro, didn't realise Elijah was born the same day - weren't we due the same day as well? Oh no, just checked you were due the day before me.

Looks like James is a popular name for boys this year - if Emily was a boy she was going to be Isaac James.

chellebelle · 02/08/2006 00:07

p.s. welcome QT!

p.p.s. whenever I see your name I think of tweetie pie saying "I dawt I daw a puddy tat. I did, I did see a puddy tat!" keeps making me smile

munz · 02/08/2006 07:41

LMAO! ooh yes girls if u'd do that it would be sooooo mcuh help for me! lol. i'll do it gives me a 5 min break! lol.

can u put the type of birth as well down ta.

seeing h/v today, boy's still not settleing at all, I'm betting she says it's either:
teething, feed him more, stop BF and go onto formula or i'm depressed i'm nopt bloody depressed I jsut need sleep! lol.

still car's in the garage today so fingers crossed pleased girls for some good news - and this time next week the packers will be here to collect our stuff

quootiepie · 02/08/2006 11:37

Type of Birth.... I dont know whether its classed as natural having an epidural, but epidural, episiotomy, ventouse (kiwi (??))Was induced.

chellebelle · 02/08/2006 11:53

Type of birth - homebirth just 20 mins of G & A and birthing pool. Even though Emily wasn't breathing to start with, I couldn't recommend a homebirth for number 2 more!

Munz - I've probably missed something - but why are you about them coming to get your stuff? I thought moving house was supposed to be exciting??? (even with all the massively hard work - I really don't envy you with baby in tow as well)

romilly · 02/08/2006 13:24

rom's stats:

Me 39
DH 43
DD b. 17th March

live in london

type of birth: painful induced, LP so took 48 hours, epidural after 12 gruesome hours of contractions, forceps and episiotomy - all totally worth it though

munzie - good luck hon. with the move - get everyone to help who offers! you have to with a young 'un!

romilly · 02/08/2006 13:25

QT - yes it is classed as natural - vaginal is natural, even if you needed a tug or two!

quootiepie · 02/08/2006 14:44

ROm - I was due March 17th - St. Patricks Day!

whens everyone thinking about having next one?

quootiepie · 02/08/2006 15:55

did I kill the thread?

munz · 02/08/2006 16:39

lol, no don't worry Q - we're not as chatty on this one and sometimes take a few day's to respond! lol. i'd love another one but will start TTC next spring I think, i'd like an oct/nov baby next but we shall see what happens.

chell - i'm cos I love it ehre and if I could I wouldn't move, but still not to worry.

just been to the h/v and the boy's dropped below the 50th centile, only put on 8oz in 5 weeks which isn't too good, apparently I need to be feeding him more solids (she's reconning 10 ice cubes per sitting) and to feed till he's full, and he's prob a hungry baby, so now I feel crappy thinking he's been starving all this time. - still can only get better, ooh and also to water down formula feeds for the night so he eventually sleeps thru. I don't mind dropping the night feed BF wise but wanted to keep the bulk BF - am feeling v sad that he'll be weaned fully soon and won't want my boobies any more (even thou I was unsure on BF after 6 months)

Astrophe · 02/08/2006 16:45

no you didn't QT...but can't chat now as dd wants to watch The Wiggles on the computer dvd.!

type of birth:
natural, 6 hours, episiotomy, pethadine, stitches.

DH 28 almost

and I'm a SAHM LUCKY ME

QT, not planning any more until back in Aust(3-4 years?) as we already have our 2 21 months apart, and it too hard with no family here. you?

Chellew, didn't realise we had twins either!

DD moaning...must go
