I always check for missing wax crayons, but he's a bit young for that >_

Google suggests it might be due to foods containing oxalic acid figgy. Blueberries, beet, rhubarb and chocolate for instance. Any help?

LittleMissFlustered · 12/08/2012 14:35

Also:

blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, currants, kiwifruit, concord (purple) grapes, figs, tangerines, and plums
Vegetables (see Table 1 for additional information)
spinach, Swiss chard, beet greens, collards, okra, parsley, leeks and quinoa are among the most oxalate-dense vegetables
celery, green beans, rutabagas, and summer squash would be considered moderately dense in oxalates
Nuts and seeds
almonds, cashews, and peanuts
Legumes
soybeans, tofu and other soy products
Grains
wheat bran, wheat germ, quinoa (a vegetable often used like a grain)
Other
cocoa, chocolate, and black tea

He did have grapes earlier today and I gave him an egg yesterday which he's only had once before and I didn't notice anything unusual that time. It was very dark purple plum purple colour will see what happens next time he "goes".

Just been out for a walk, found a new local park with lake and baby swings for wee man.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 12/08/2012 14:53

maybe it was a one off strange thing Figgy Kids do these things to you lol!

6 sleeps Grin

NorthernChinchilla · 12/08/2012 16:40

Ah, Poo-Watch, one of the joys of being a new parent Grin! DS's has gone from bf baby (sweetly inoffensive) to weaning (could be used in the field of war) to solids (like an adult's).

Though no multi-coloured ones like some of yours seem to get- didn't your DS have orange or green poo before figgy?

Yesterday was interesting... a miscommunication between me and DP (long story) saw my deep, deep, deep cherry red nail varnish spray itself over a foot of the front room carpet, which is ivory Shock. We shouted, blamed each other, he got supplies in, I scrubbed and now it's gone down to 'noticeable' from 'insurance claim'. After an hour he approached me and said we should put it down to a no-blame accident and I agreed...

Wedding was fine, although the number of visible tattoos and thongs sort of compensated for the number of missing teeth. Very sweet actually, and best of all, I got mistaken for my friend's 16 year old daughter!! Left early so I could come home and see to DS, and as a result saw Mo win, which was brilliant.

Hope you enjoy having your DH home aethel, that's lovely!

Just off into the garden to enjoy ten minutes of sunshine whilst DS naps. He's properly mobile now and off crawling, having finally figured out the whole arms and legs jobbie, though managed to fully pull himself up to standing today...why couldn't he have been like his mother and just stayed immobile for 18 months?!

OiMissus · 12/08/2012 16:53

Mo was incredible yesterday. Inspirational!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 12/08/2012 16:57

I missed Mo - got home before Tom Daley done his 4th dive tho Smile

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 12/08/2012 19:12

Figgygal · 12/08/2012 19:40

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 12/08/2012 19:47

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 12/08/2012 20:18

In no order;

I have chest infection still got it after five days of antibiotics. I cant breath. Dh has been sick all day. I have not take kids out so Air is bouncying off walls. He throw tanturm as he didnt want to go tobed he wanted to stay up to play with grandad when he got back from taking daddy to walkin center.

I had to leave air downstair watching dvd when i tried to put Hope in cot. Everytime i walked out of door she would wake up and cry arrrrrr

dh has a kidney infection and was two hours in walkin centre

Hope still not asleep in cot and i still have not had dinner and im so angry and frustrated of just sitting on bed when Hope talks to herself or dozies then wakes up when i cought or her dad being sick.

Also grandparents are ill and on holiday next week so i have no help.

I cant breath and i have to look after a sick disabiled adult, a loopy three yo and a bf 8 month old. I want to cry but i dont have enogh breath to and im too tired.

Then i will have to carry air to bed as he willfall asleep on sofa :(

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 12/08/2012 20:22

I also have stress anxiouty and depression that is playing up big time or im getting PMT!

seven77 · 12/08/2012 21:36

air (((hug))) firstly do you have any mum friends who could take air to the park for an hour everyday while you're ill so he can burn off some excess energy? Do you have a slow cooker? Bung in meat and veg in the morning and it's done by teatime, failing that could you just live off pasta, pizza and jacket spuds for a few days? Would you consider co-sleeping for a few days so you can get some extra sleep? And lastly if your antibiotics aren't working get yourself back to GP tomorrow to try something else. Hope everyone is better soon x

northern wedding sounds interesting! Oh dear to the carpet.

aethelfleda · 12/08/2012 21:51

Oh dear air, i second Seven's suggestions, they are all v sensible. Even if you get half an hour's breathing space it will help. Really really hope things improve and DH gets better soon... Post if it helps xxx

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 12/08/2012 22:03

Aaron is now asleep in Hope's cot, Hope is asleep next to me and husband in Aarons bed with the 'sick bowl'

Any bets on who will wake and need me first?

I just want to stop coghing and be able to breath again :(

Goodnight sweet dreams

Seven - i still have two days left of antibiotics so will take them then go back. I really dont want to go into hospital if i can help it :( im really stressed right now.

Figgygal · 12/08/2012 22:54

Dh is round his best mates house he's been going through some sort of mental break over the last few months, last time he got called round as an emergency he had tried to throw his wife down the stairs and then rooted through the kitchen drawers for a knife to stab himself with dh went round after a hysterical call and had to sit on him until the mental health team arrived god knows what's going on!! They have a 3yr old It's very scary!!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 12/08/2012 23:13

Air I third Sevens suggestion and hope things improve soon.

Figgy OMG hope your DH is okay tho?! Hope your friend gets the help he needs soon.

We are watching opening ceremony and absolutely brilliant Grin

AWomanCalledHorse · 12/08/2012 23:15

Air ((hug)), if you're anywhere near S.London/Kent DS is away atm so I'm free if you need an extra pair of hands? x Hope you get a good nights sleep. x

Figgy, hope situation with DH's mate is all ok. Having friends going through mental breakdowns is tough. x

Northen, hope the carpet is ok....wedding sounded fun, although disapointed it wasn't EasterEnders-esque, where's a long lost son when you need one?

Figgy, hope the poo is back to normal?

aethel, hurrah for having DH back! Mine has more than one day off this week, hurrah!

DS, as mentioned, is away at PIL atm...I'm going up there on Wednesday, have only spent one night away from him before so this is going to be really hard.

Figgygal · 13/08/2012 07:29

Well dh got home at midnight has told his best mate of 30yrs wife to leave him before he hurts her (he hit her last night and she has a black eye). Its very long and complicated but he has been told hes not mentally ill but has psychotic episodes from a med condition that started a few months back, he is a completely different person its complete lunacy. He was throwing things round the house, saying his wife and dh were having an affair, hitting the walls until they got a sleeping tablet in him and dh had to practically carry him upstairs. I think she might go this time her parents live 300miles away though and their 3yr old is just about to start pre school, they've been married 10yrs next month and shes trying to hang on for him but we are all expecting him to kill himself in 1 of those crazy moments.

Am shattered this morning Sad

OiMissus · 13/08/2012 07:38

Hope you're OK Air?
AWCH tis very nice of you to offer to help out.
This thread is amazing.
figgy hope you're DH came home unscathed.
We had a curry last night and too much wine. I have the breath of beelzebob this morning. ugh!
Great finale to the games. I was in tears when Gary Barlow came on. V brave.
BOi has a horrible spluttery cough. My little snot fiend. :( Tixylix seems to helping a little bit.
DH drove me to work this morning so he can have the car, so I sat in the back with BOi all the way. :) He's really found his tongue this last 2 days. He was chattering all the way. "dadadadadada" and other sounds. He's said dadadada lots yesterday too, but not directed it at daddy yet, so we're not counting it as words. He may have got it before they come and pick me up later.
saw one of my best friends over the weekend. She lives in France. Her dad died very suddenly last week, so she's home. Very sad. He was only 76, and very lively. A really lovely generous and loving man, it's so sad. He'd had a bad chest and had seen the doctor who checked his lungs on Friday and then again on Monday. DR said one of his lungs sounded a bit messy, but insisted the other was clear.
He died of a pulmonary embolism and the pathologist said his lungs were shot to pieces. You can imagine the family are confused, and now think maybe if the dr had not brushed them away so eaily, could he have been saved? very very sad. Sad
The funeral is on Friday.

Have a great day y'all.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 13/08/2012 07:45
