Glad it's nothing nasty gee, I hope it turns out to be nothing that might cause her any trouble. X
Thanks for the car seat experience. Much appreciated.
I decided today that online shopping should be the way to go. I don't need to spend my scarce time with BOi in a supermarket.
Have a good weekend! I think it's time for a martini.

LittleMissFlustered · 13/07/2012 21:01

It's always time for a drink, be it brewed, fermented or percolated!

MissRee the vampire doth rock, but I'm secretly loving Sherlock:o

mopsytop · 13/07/2012 21:15

That's a relief Gee, hope the results are ok now.

Right, think I'll give zumba a try figgy. Hope I don't make too big a fool of myself.

Husband is out getting drunk as far as I can tell. He only went for one, ha ha. I've done all the chores and am now relaxing in front of a suitably brain dead DVD and drinking a wheatbeer.

NorthernChinchilla · 13/07/2012 21:16

Evenin' all...

Firstly, seven, really sorry to hear the news, and equally so that your Mum was not as supportive as she could be understatement. Enjoy the Wine and brie and hope you have a good weekend with the DCs and DP, take it easy.

At this age AWCH I don't think it matters whether it's nightly or weekly, as long as they're not in any way affected by it. We can have happy smelly babies together...iyswim!

WHOOP for you and DS aethel, so glad you're cracking it Smile. I knew you'd win the battle of the wills.

I'm glad your phone is thinking of me LMF, but it's clearly decided that it's having no fun with you and gone over and infected Kitty instead Grin

Tbh mopsy, I think the feeding process matters very little. We tried DS on BLW, and apart from toast and oat biscuits he just won't do it. He goes like a Victorian lady who had to pick up a dead mouse- picks it up, looks pissed off, drops it away then has an attack of the vapours...
However, mush up the very same item and he'll try and take the end of the spoon off in enthusiasm! Yet there are some who are the other way round.

I was expressing during the day Xiao, but only once, and we were mix feeding. I'd guess- and this is only a guess- that your DC is at the lower end of OK with fluids, but that's only because my DS is having three medium bfs and three bottles as well as food because he's a chubbster. If he's having 20oz of bm (via boob and bottle) plus sips of water that will be fine, and I'm sure you'd notice if there were something really wrong.

I promise you MissRee that the days leading up are by far the worst bit. As you can see, there's a few of us know that have done it- it's not fun, you feel like you're being wrenched away but work will take up so much brain-space that it's not too bad. I get DP to send me at least one picture of DS per day, which helps. Wee (hug) for you.

Happy days figgy, happy days... Grin how to choose between your badly behaved men?!

That's brilliant news Gee, what a relief! The little efforts only do it to worry us you know...

It's my little brother's 9th birthday tomorrow, so off to wrangle lots of nine year old boys in a swimming pool ffs celebrate that and spending the night at my Dad's. Large glasses of wine better be forthcoming!

Thanks northern.

gee what a relief! Hopefully it won't cause her any trouble.

oi definitely online shopping! I certainly think its worth the £3 charge to not have to drag my 2 whingey DCs round the supermarket!

figgy I hope your DH mums up gets better soon!

Tonight I've been sorting out DHs just giving page and a poster for him to put up at work. I've also ordered a canvas of DS looking rather smart at Christmas. My broken toe bloody hurts tonight, I've stubbed it twice and DS stood on it.

LittleMissFlustered · 14/07/2012 06:02

The boys tag teamed me last night, I've had about three hours sleep all told >_

OiMissus · 14/07/2012 08:57

Oh dear lmf, I'll put the kettle on.
We had a psoonami this morning. I'll use the most annoying word of the moment, and tell you that it was epic. We went straight to the bath, and the vest went to the bin. Anyway, BOi is all clean and dressed, we have had breakfast, I'm still in my dressing gown. DH just told me I have some poop on my forehead. I don't suppose it'll be the last time. Blush

LittleMissFlustered · 14/07/2012 09:24

That might class as poomageddon!

I like the word epic, but I've been using it for fifteen years or so:o

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 14/07/2012 09:49

Oi Epic happens a lot in our house. More so when it's an Epic failure! Grin

We've been to next sale this morning. Darcie got some leggings, 2 tops & some hello kitty socks. Sky got a lovely dress & Minnie mouse t shirt. DP got 1 shirt & 3 t shirts. I came away with no clothes just 2 cushions for our room!

DP's stag doo today, he's going karting so looking forward to it! Trying not to think of the state he maybe in when he gets home!

GeeandTee · 14/07/2012 10:32

I expected our weekly pooplosion yesterday which didn't happen, so will probably be a poomageddon today!

dsm you were out early to get to Next and back before 10am!

DH taken DCs to a Dads toddler gp so I am watching crap tv, drinking coffee and eating pain au chocolat that DH went out early to get for me :)

DD still waking every 2 hrs but it is better than every 10mins. I think I'm going to reintroduce dairy today and see what happens tonight. I'm not convinced it was the problem.

I forgot to say I bath DS and DD every night as they both love it, DS would not let us miss it out and he also seems to get his dinner in his hair most days Blush DD loves to splash and despite her being such a placid baby during the day if you try and remove her from the bath before she's had her allocated splashing time she has an almighty tantrum. She also gets all her meals in her hair. What is it about my kids and food in their hair?!

KateM77 · 14/07/2012 11:04

Productive morning here. I've cleaned the entire house whilst DH took to DC's to Tesco with him. I'm having an afternoon and evening off today. Going to see midnight tango at the theatre at 4 with my mum, then for food afterwards. DH will have to do the bath and bedtime routine on his own with them both for the first time today. I suspect the normal daily bath will not happen today!

Well I managed to drop one bottle for the last two days in the hope that DS would eat more solids, but it didn't happen and I just ended up with two horrendous nights. Back to 6 bottles today and I've instructed DH to get ingredients for a couple of dishes I can make and spoon feed. I'm not loving the BLW, like northern the only things DS really seems to eat are bread based, and now he's all bunged up too Sad

On phone so apologies for lack of individual namechecks, but just to say belated for aethelspawn and pleased to hear it was good news at the hospital gee

Figgygal · 14/07/2012 14:06

I have a very grumpy boy today not sure why think its his teeth again poor little mite.

Well the weather is poo again pinning all hopes on Sunday for getting out into the world

LittleMissFlustered · 14/07/2012 14:43

Both boys grumpy here too. Octoboy because he's 6 months old and he can, the boychild because he has random!virus which is making him hot and tired. They're both asleep for now though which is fab. Might go have a nap myself...

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 14/07/2012 16:42

Gee Next is about 5 mins away. There is a retail park near me. We timed it just right as wasn't to busy and got the girls, Neil & some stuff for our room. whereas when we leave it till afternoon, most of it is normally gone!

hope everyone's grumpy children have cheered up now?

DP loved karting this morning and came 2nd in the race. Is now off to town for a curry & beer! Smile So I have my mum & sister coming over (BIL & Dad gone too) for takeaway, drink and film whilst my girls are in bed. Also to help me out as I've done my back, hips & knees in due to doing Darcie's, Sky's and our room this week. So paying for it now Sad poxy medical conditions Sad

Figgygal · 14/07/2012 17:14

He's rolling, rolling, rolling rolling etc etc

We've had to go out and buy a new rug for wooden floor as he keeps rolling off his mat and bashing his head. We can't have the foam jigsaw pieces which would be ideal because the skunk attacks anything like that so goodbye £40 for a rug that will get chucked once he's up on his feet.

I think it was stealth teething earlier he's been much happier since being dosed up with teething gel.

seven77 · 14/07/2012 17:33

DSM I'm jealous, next is 25 minutes away from me, and I love their kids clothes. There wasn't anything in the online sale for DD, though I did order 2 pairs of jeans, a polo shirt and some socks for DS plus a coat, 2 pairs of trousers and some tops for myself. Glad DP is having a good stag do, your night sounds good too, enjoy!

figgy how's DH now?

lmf sympathy, being hot and tired makes for very irritating irritable children. Hope you got your nap and have a better night, and that DS1 is on the mend soon.

Is anyone else struggling with the transition from veggie purée to 'proper' mush? She was quite happy with homemade fruit and veg purees, and will happily eat a jar with lumps but she just isn't interested in homemade casseroles and stews mashed up. Thankfully tonights pork and pepper stew I done in the slow cooker and there's plenty for us too as well as freezing some for her so it didn't require too much effort.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 14/07/2012 17:46

Sky just fell off our bed. I even put pillows either side of her and nipped and put the milk in her bottle. Started shaking the bottle as I moved up the stairs & thud Sad she's ok tho Sad

seven77 · 14/07/2012 17:47

Poor sky :(

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 14/07/2012 17:51

Sad feel so bad. Should of put her on floor now she's moving.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 14/07/2012 17:52

Feel so bad Sad

LittleMissFlustered · 14/07/2012 18:44

MissRee have you seen the 'malympic' legomens? We got four today:o

DSM kids fall off stuff all the time, it'll all be fine:)

OiMissus · 14/07/2012 20:58

BOi has bumped his head 5 times today. He gets up on his feet, and then takes his hands away. Ker-thunk. Scream.
I caught him 7 million times, there were just 5 times when I didn't quite make it.Sad
BOi had sausage, carrot n suede n potato mash and peas for lunch, and pizza for dinner. Grin

aethelfleda · 14/07/2012 21:21

Am at MIL's with my knitting, following a family wedding outing! all DCs in bed and quiet (DDs were crazy excited so bloody impossible to settle).

DS is doing well, am feeding him at 6am and 6pm now, tried an overnight feed and definitely had less m

MissRee · 14/07/2012 21:22

Jack got the sailor. I had to laugh at it's campness Grin

aethelfleda · 14/07/2012 21:24

Am at MIL's with my knitting, following a family wedding outing! all DCs in bed and quiet (DDs were crazy excited so bloody impossible to settle).

DS is doing well, am feeding him at 6am and 6pm now, tried an overnight top up feed and definitely had less milk- he wanted a bottle!!!
Operation Reclaim The Boob is nearing cOmpletion...will drop the last feeds gradually over next week or two I think. Thanks everyone for your support and kind words, I didn't anticipate it being this much work!

Knitting calls, then shower and bed. Hope everyone's weekends are going OK. (dsm, falling off stuff is normal, nay, expected...)
