Tried to post on the original thread and my post got rejected as its full! Have copied and pasted below....

Congrats on the job offer ttl...hope the other one comes up trumps for you too.

Dd isn't quite crawling yet, but would very much like to. She is the queen of the Klingons at the moment, and has a meltdown the second I put her down, look in the opposite direction, or if someone else so much as looks at her. Not all the time thankfully, but definitely for part of every day.

On the bf thing, it's so personal.....I've just dropped doing the afternoon feed myself be cause dd is so distractible that she bobs on and off, which I don't like around other people, and now she finally has teeth the constant latch on/off was really hurting. I just bf once a day, our morning snuggle when she's nice and calm. I would be sad to give that one up just yet.

Ahhhhh Congratulations! Planned or a true JSing baby? Who cares either way, CC is up the duff. GrinGrin

Oh Sad you're going to leave us for the upduff thread now aren't you?

I'll drink that Wine Nickel, CC isn't allowed any

nickeldaisical · 11/10/2012 14:51

she can have an MN Wine

meany.

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 11/10/2012 15:14

It was planned in the sense that we decided to js and see what happens, if that makes sense?

I keep swaying between outright fear at having two children and then being excited about reusing my Moses basket etc Grin

I will take your virtual mocktails and wine. I don't know why I'm in such shock. I know that jsing can lead to pregnancy. I guess I thought it might take longer....eek!

I don't know anyone on the jsing grads. Do none of you fancy joining me? Wink Haven't heard from Frak for ages, she went to fly her cape didn't she?

FeijoaVodkaPlease · 11/10/2012 16:38

I'm staying right here sorry. Okay, she can have the Wine, at least she has a good excuse if she throws it all back up again Grin

FeijoaVodkaPlease · 11/10/2012 18:40

Do you still use your ergo CC? I don't know if this would interest you or not, but lots of babies in slings has got to be a good thing.

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 11/10/2012 19:35

Thank FVP. That looks good. I love a nice wander round the botanics. Are you thinking of attending?

Dh is home and happy, but shocked. We are like a pair of teenagers Grin

vallinnapod · 11/10/2012 22:39

WWWWWOOOOOOHHHOOOOOO THREAD BABY!!! Grin Congrats CC xxxxx

I'm trying to join you! Back to the baby factory next month so I am hoping my little chiller dudes will go back in Jan at the latest. Fingers, toes and legs crossed Wink

Do you all find random things in the washing machine too? Got nearly a whole pack of raisins out...

Back at work full time (4 days) now. Miss DS more than I thought possible. He is loving nursery. Typical boy though and I have to fill in an accident form at least once a week. Today I got a call to say he had been bitten Shock it was a tussle over a book and the other child sank their fangs in. Apparently he didn't even cry. I was oddly fine with it all. Only a matter of time before I get the call to say he is the biter rather than bitee I assume!

Lots of love to all xxx

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 12/10/2012 12:12

Thanks Val Smile. Will hopefully have you as a pregnancy buddy in no time.

I went to the docs this morning and I'm waiting on a call from the EPU. Think I will be booked in for an early scan to make sure it's not ectopic. Everything seems ok so far though. I'm only 4weeks 6 days, so it's still very early anyway :)

I'm going to have two children under two... Grin

Not found anything strange in washing machine, but it does eat ds's socks. I can never find a matching pair.

Just realised I left his shoes and my scarf at rhyme time yesterday.

nickeldaisical · 12/10/2012 13:02

you need one of those zip-up laundry bags.
we are a lazy household. every time we take a pair of |DD's socks off it goes into the basket into the zip-up laundry bag. never lose them that way.

Eskarina · 12/10/2012 13:06

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Congrats CC xxx

If DH had his way we'd be js too, but I've just started a rather stressful new job so not sure the time is right for me. though the thought of getting out of being at work for a year is appealing long term it would make sense to get on with it but I'm not sure I could do it short term.

How are you finding work Val? I am actually enjoying being at work, and dd loves her childminder. It's supposed to be just mornings, but I've done so much extra (and most of that unpaid :( ) that it's been almost full time so far.

Other news is we're moving house. Oh, and DH is changing jobs. Not sure I can take any more changes at the mo!

CC I have done the maths - you only need to freak for two months with the two-under-two thing Wink

Esk I am really enjoying work, when I am there. I find leaving the house really hard as I leave before DH takes DS to nursery. Yesterday I had to shut the front door in his face and just heard the wailing start Sad. Also find the commute in hard and the one home I reckon I could run quicker as I miss him so much. Just too much time on my hands to think about him at those moments. DS loves nursery which makes it infinitely easier.

Of course you then get days like today....only my second week back, I am meant to be working from home but DS has been up since 2:45am vomming. Had some interesting nappies too so no nursery. I am trying to work but it is nearly impossible so I guess I have a fun Friday night ahead Confused

FeijoaVodkaPlease · 12/10/2012 18:19

CC all being well I'm hoping to get to the sling meet with DD and our pink elephants.

FeijoaVodkaPlease · 12/10/2012 18:20

:( Val, Hope DS is feeling better in the morning.

vallinnapod · 12/10/2012 21:22

Had another huge spew before bedtime :( Possibly my fault for allowing him to snaffle a huge bowl of pasta and pesto. He was perfectly happy before his milk (and toothbrush). Poor bub. Went straight to sleep.

Enjoy the sling meet FVP!

vallinnapod · 12/10/2012 22:40

My poorly bub gave us his first few steps today Grin He was completely unaware, let go of the side of the bath and then collapsed to a crawl when he hit the landing carpet Grin

DH and I were both there and gave each other a 'did he just...?!' Grin

Eskarina · 13/10/2012 07:57

Aw, poor DS val. hope he's better this morning. Well done him on his first steps! I reckon it'll be watching all the other babies at nursery, dd took off after a week of being at the childminders and watching the other little mindee who is a few months older and getting annoyed she couldn't keep up just by crawling. Apparently she is very possessive of the little dolls buggy and stalks the poor lad until he gives it up, then swoops in and takes it as soon as he lets go. I'm just waiting for the day when I'm summoned in on pick up to be told she's walloped him one to make him let go!

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 14/10/2012 15:00

Congrats on the first steps Val. Our little babies are getting very grown up.

Hope you had a nice time today FVP and avoided the rain. I'm having a pj day as I feel shattered. Ds is waking hourly with his teeth and being a nightmare to settle.

Got an early scan booked with EPU for 26th Oct to check little one is on right place. Really nervous, but think chances of another ectopic are small.

Joined the jsing grads. There are loads of them. I think our thread will be very busy next year!

Eskarina · 14/10/2012 19:00

Sorry I missed that you needed to go to the epu cc. Hope everything is ok.

Blush I've been keeping up with double buggies and the like since before dd was born for a while now. Just so I'm prepared when it does happen you see Blush.

OP posts:
vallinnapod · 14/10/2012 19:29

Fingers crossed CC. Is it because of a prior ectopic (embarrassingly I can't remember much from the JSing thread...)

I am very, very broody now! Oh and I google buggies, double and otherwise, on a regular basis. Would never, ever trade my Vista though if I were to have babies far enough apart not to need a double. I do regret my Maclaren decision, I wish I have got a baby jogger city mini. In fact, that, or a mountain buggy duet is my double of choice at the moment. (I've done a lot of research!) Blush

Oh and just sold my Ergo on eBay as I fancied a different colour so now have to pay the £40 difference Blush

fraktion · 14/10/2012 19:44

Hi all!!!

So much to actually catch up on but yay cc! I'm tentatively hoping (as in ERTD is 3 days overdue going by when I think I OVd) to join you there very soon.

Must keep up more - the grand move buggered everything.

vallinnapod · 14/10/2012 21:59

FFRRRAAKKK!

So good to hear from you. Do update us when you have 30 seconds (not that that happens these days!)

Fingers crossed for a BFP. Envy in a nice way for you guys Grin

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 15/10/2012 08:36

Fingers crossed for a bfp Frak. Look forward to hearing from you properly soon! Smile

My scan is due to previous ectopic, but it's unlikely to happen again (stats wise). My right tube is just a bit of a mess after really bad appendicitis a few years ago.

I have been having the strangest dreams. In fact, I think they are my strongest symptom to date. Dreamt last night that I was doing the highest parachute jump. However, I had to hang around in space with no gravity to get the crowd going first. Dh was there as a cheerleader doing aerobics?!!! Wtf???!Grin

Loving that you guys have done lots of research on the buggies already. I'm hoping to reuse my ergo, possibly with new (not needed) insert. What colour ergo have you bought Val? Still fancy a double buggy though. What are your top recommendations? I would like one with a carrycot attachment or cocoon thingy.

Anyway, surprisingly good mood here despite teething causing ds hourly wake ups. Having problems at the moment with his naps as he isn't convinced about whether he needs one or two. How is everyone else's little ones doing?

vallinnapod · 15/10/2012 09:42

Fab dream!!

Gone for a galaxy grey Ergo. I inherited a camel coloured one from a friend for DH so I am trying to convince myself that I am only spending £40 on it (even though I am clearly kidding myself as I told DH the difference was £20 Blush) I am looking forward to the Moby wrap days again...love those on the chest cuddles all the time Grin

That said, poor DS had another spew last night. So unlike him, especially as I thought he was getting better. He had spewed on Saturday but that is because DH was feeding him a Cornetto Hmm. I had the bug on Saturday night so I can truly sympathise with the little bub. It was hideous.

We are having a similar nap issue these days. I am very lucky in that most days DS will have 2.5 ish hours in the morning, but this is normally around 9:30. SO he does need something else in the arvo but I often can't get him down again. I'll often leave him in his cot for an hour just chatting to himself as I think just relaxing in the dark may be slightly beneficial totally kidding myself I've tried getting him to go down later in the morning but he is literally falling over or lying on the floor hugging his teddy! It's all changing with nursery though, he tends to have only 1.5 hours there around midday. I think they walk them up after that time...I need to check. To be honest he is such a nosey bugger they find it really hard to get him down as he just wants to see what everyone else it doing!

OK buggies Wink. I am not a big fan of tandems...I hate the idea of one of the babies sort of shoved in with the shopping. I like the baby jogger citi mini double or mountain buggy duet as you can put a carrycot on both. They both fit through doorways too, apparently. I love parent facing and never have DS forward facing (except in the Maclaren which we use for nursery - and these are the days I want to chat to him most!) so not looking forward to that. I was also thinking. DS will be in nursery at least two days still so I was thinking of slinging and pushing or when DS is in nursery using the Vista still.

See.....way too much thought for someone not even having a period, let alone a baby Blush

vallinnapod · 15/10/2012 09:43

Hahahaha, the Ergo was for DS, clearly....!!
