Aaarg, I am knackered, at least DH is being sympathetic. However, after a morning where DH herded the children so I could put away the washing (oh, the glamour) it's a lovely day: DD1 has gone excitedly on a rainbows outing, DD2 is dressing up ready for a quick excursion to local middle school fair this afternoon.... And DH fel asleep in my comfy chair with DS On his lap, having the biggest doze he's manged in days. dS then woke and wailed so I took him from Dh who remains peacefully dozing in the chair. Don't have the heart to wake him though I wish it was me sleeping!!

Rashkakeller · 12/05/2012 15:24

Aethel i prefer to be the tired one because then dp can't moan about being tired (in theory)- he might mention it but wouldn't dare try and make out he's the hard done by one!!

Dp took dd to Dad's Club this morning and ds had a nice nap then a play on his mat enabling me time to bake a cake. Looks ok, hopefully will taste good but the muscovado sugar had gone hard so probably should have blended it!

Dp's gone for bath then we're popping to town to get dd some new shoes (bday present off her Nanna) and some wine for me (present to myself just cos)

Poonami warning!
We had just stopped to sneak a peek at a house we liked the look of (cul de sac of course, so twitchy curtain fever), when we became aware of a sweet smell... Oh my! A true sock filler. All down the inside of both legs. I had packed a spare vest and top, but no pants or socks. So we stayed outside for longer, looking like nappy-changing-stalkers. 'twas not an easy clean up in the car!
But then we had to go to a house viewing appt late, and with a baby with no trousers on! Whoops!
House was ok. Not amazing. Got another appt at 5 for one I'm hopeful about...
Will try and catch up with proper name checking and feedback later!
Until then, hlc enjoy the horses n ducks! Grin

MissRee · 12/05/2012 15:48

Freya's chair cover is in the wash AGAIN after she left a pile of poop whilst sitting in her vest and nappy!!! You think I'd learn there's less damage if she has trews on to catch it Hmm

Rashkakeller · 12/05/2012 15:52

MissRee I always try to remember to put ds on a Terry toweling nappy (never used as nappies but so useful for many things) when in his chair or carseat for that very same reason!!

EasilyBored · 12/05/2012 16:11

Figgy bananas are famous for causing constipation. Hope he sorts himself out soon!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 12/05/2012 16:15

Sorry to see some of you are having to deal with poomageddons - thankfully we've not had to deal with that for a while.

My mum has just brought me in some lovely flowers to cheer me up Smile

I'm drinking tea and watching Lara Croft Cradle of Life and about to eat some ice cream.

aethelfleda · 12/05/2012 16:52

I've just scooped an entire carrier bag full of sludge out of our guttering. Niiiiice.

Hope weekends are pootling along nicely for people and here's to a years time when our LOs will be sleeping through, toddling about and not being any work at all.....Hmm

aethelfleda · 12/05/2012 16:54

Ooh and very best of luck kate with "closing the milk bar": I will be doing so at some point and as you can tell from my many on-thread lamentations regarding bottle refusal, I am reeeeeally not looking forward to the bottle-wrestle that will ensue!!!

seven77 · 12/05/2012 16:55

Speed post, I've been in hospital with DS since last night, he's got a broken arm :( :( :(. I haven't seen Eva for nearly 24 hours and I'm really struggling to hold it together.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 12/05/2012 17:02

Seven OMG, hope DS is okay? I'm sure Eva is fine. Sending hugs.

Kate Good luck with the breast to bottle fiasco.

aethelfleda · 12/05/2012 17:10

Oh no seven, how awful for you. Hope DS is comfortable soon (I presume they are operating to fix it up if you've been kept in?) this sort of thing is common in little ones and they bounce back remarkably quickly. (((((hug))))) and hope you are back with Eva very soon, I'm sure she'll be OK. Make sure you eat something and get a little sleep tonight xx

MissRee · 12/05/2012 17:26

Aw no seven, hope DS is on the mend soon!

HoneyLovesCake · 12/05/2012 18:21

So sorry seven :( Hope your DS is ok.

KateM77 · 12/05/2012 19:16

((hugs)) for seven

DSM are you psychic? Wink it was indeed a fiasco! As expected, DS took nothing from the bottle, but he quite happily played with it for a while and had a brief suck at it. His face when he tasted the aptimil was quite something. We'll keep trying each day, and will hopefully get there eventually.

DS should now be tanking up and getting sleepy for the night ahead, but has decided to be wide awake, smiley and sociable instead. DD should be asleep but is giving DH the run around upstairs. Starving hungry and hoping they'll let us eat soon!

LittleMissFlustered · 12/05/2012 19:30

Hoping everything is going as smoothly as it can seven

Kate I often wonder lol. I'm sure DS will get the hang of it soonish Smile

Darcie is in bed, just getting Sky sorted then sleep for me.

EasilyBored · 12/05/2012 20:05

seven, hope he feels better soon! Poor thing. And poor mummy!

MimsyBorogroves · 12/05/2012 21:05

seven hope he's on the mend soon. Poor thing.

Figgygal · 12/05/2012 21:40

Bloody hell tonight whilst on stirring duty I burned the curry dh had cooked, the wine I'd bought was overpoweringly strawberry tasting so half went down the sink and then the frozen yoghurt I'd bought for dessert was horrible so it went in the bin. Not impressed.

DS went down at 8 with a full bottle in his rum and 2 lots of food today (porridge at breakfast and squash and sweet potato for tea). Despite this after 2 weeks of night feeds I've given up the hope of him sleeping through these days.

Watching lord of the rings on ch4 then off to bed, love crazy old Sean bean!!

msbuggywinkle · 12/05/2012 21:45

Hello!

Beer and chocolate in bed for me, have been busy enjoying the sunshine all day! Went to the Wildflower Centre for lunch and a mosy round and treated myself to some plants, then stopped in at PIL's house on the way home and MIL gave me a load of seedlings she had going spare.

Having a BBQ tomorrow as there is more sunshine forecast! Hurray!

oi so sorry the house fell through, tis so crap, we had similar when buying our house. Still, I'm sure you will find a brilliant one soon.

seven hope you are out again soon, it is so scary when they get hurt, but they do heal fast!

aethel argh, don't remind me. I loathe doing the guttering, but will have to soon. Well, as soon as the bird that is nesting in the guttering buggers off.

seven77 · 12/05/2012 21:58

Thanks all. He's in a cast, we've just stopped at asda to hopefully find button up shirts and pjs, and pizza for tea. We've been waiting for a discharge note since 3pm!

aethelfleda · 12/05/2012 22:18

Great that you're back home seven, good luck with the fracture clinic visits you'll have over the next weeks. Fast healing vibes coming your way!

Hee hee. dH has just told DD1 for reading way past her bedtime yet again. I would be in bed too but I've finally got into the "Life of pi" that I have been meaning to read for years but never got past the first chapter before. Hmm, pots, kettles. Must go to bed as I can't see
dS having a miracle sleepthrOugh! Night all!

Rashkakeller · 12/05/2012 23:44

Seven poor you and family, bet its been a long day. Hope you're relaxing now and your dcs are enjoying a nice sleep!

I'm in bed with a cuppa - stuffed full of enchiladas and wine. Diet is non existent this weekend!

LittleMissFlustered · 13/05/2012 00:02

Banbury

My beautiful octopus slept from getting in the bus at a quarter to six until about fifteen minutes ago. We got home at a quarter to eight, so he's not done bad! Suspect it's going to be a naff night now though >_<

seven I'm so glad your little one has been discharged. Hope the pyjama hunt was fruitful:)
