He slept through for the first time in a month HOorah!!!

Library rhyme time, coffee with the other mums and lots of washing on the cards today. Its our 5th wedding anniversary tomorrow not brave enough to go away for weekend and as hes not been sleeping through dh wont ask pil to have him overnight so day out to the avengers finally and then an alcohol free dinner somewhere so that we can pick him up after are the exciting plans this year.

Hope everyone feeling better soon!!

aethelfleda · 18/05/2012 08:26

right. DDs to school, then back home for a concerted deep-clean of the house. I found 3 websites last night helpfully saying threadworms are due to poor hygeine and shoddy housemanship (thanks for the judgement, chaps) and another three saying it's just due to little people an the visceral beings they are with nosepicking etc. all of them recommended scrubbing, hoovering and washing everything. Sigh. Have already done 3 loads of washing.

And phoned someone we visited ten days ago to warn them to keep an eye out to be told "oh yes, we've just had them...." sigh. That's probably the source then. Glamorous or what.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 18/05/2012 08:57

Oi Hope you hear from estate agents today.

Seven Sorry flat didn't sell. Hope it does eventually.

Aethel Nice of the other family to let you know about the threadworms Hmm

I've been such a slattern for 2 days due to feeling like a badgers arse ruff, it's not good.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 18/05/2012 08:58

Figgy Enjoy the avengers - DP wanted to take me last Friday but we couldn't get a sitter.

Kitty5824 · 18/05/2012 09:13

Get well vibes for all, I'm off shopping to spend my birthday money on exciting things like new nursing bra's and leggings that don't have holes in them through over wear....

Seven that is pants. Fingers crossed someone will come along and offer you the asking price and actually be in a position to pay it Grin

Oi fingers crossed you have news by the time I get back to the computer to check this evening

LittleMissFlustered · 18/05/2012 09:25

Thanks for the coffee. :)
Happy anniversary for tomorrow figgy. :)
Enjoy the shopping kitty!
Speaking of which, those of you with baby girls, have you looked at Achica today? - If you want beautiful little dresses for your munchkins, check out this. The prices range from £20 - £40, so they aren't cheap, but there are some gorgeous little dresses. Not much there for the boys, I'm afraid. But I love the pink polka dot dress so much, I may put a ribbon in his hair.

OiMissus · 18/05/2012 09:48

ahhhhh the little knitted rompers (boys) are gorgeous too, £18 - £19 each though, I can't buy them, can I when I'm trying to buy a house? they... are... dragging.. me.. in...... I.. must... resist!... Is the mumsnet offer just free delivery, or £10 off when you spend £40?... I can't remember. Oh bugger. I can avoid shops by not visiting them, but I must stop all these emails coming to me.

OiMissus · 18/05/2012 09:56

Don't follow that link - hang on. If I post a specific link, you get a £10 voucher, and if you use it, I get stuff too....

seven77 · 18/05/2012 09:56

Another badgers arse ruff feeling person here, I was fine before I came on here last night, you've infected me. My back hurts from having to sleep on DS bedroom floor, I've got a sore throat and a headache though that could be the vodka.

oi I daren't follow your link, I really can't afford any more beautiful dresses as we have millions already. Good luck on the house though!

OiMissus · 18/05/2012 09:57

Use this link!

OiMissus · 18/05/2012 10:00

(You can tell I didn't resist. I bought 2 knitted rompers and a cardy, that's why they gave me a link to induce you lot to shop.)
Sorry you're feeling badger's arses seven. Disinfect your hands or you might get worms too, seeing as aethel's helpful website has labelled us as being durty and unclean. :(

MissRee · 18/05/2012 10:17

If only we could rename this thread... I think it should be called BioHaz Grin

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 18/05/2012 10:20

Seven glad I'm not the only one feeling like a badgers arse ruff. Feel better soon.

Oi I'm not looking as can't afford anything, got a wedding to pay for?! Grin

MissRee Grin at BioHaz

Just viewed a horrible house. Can't believe how much they are asking for it as it was overlooked, dark, needs new carpets, ceilings, paint etc. What a waste of time!

aethelfleda · 18/05/2012 11:02

Ooh gee, we saw one like that when we were househunting last time. It was ten grand cheaper than the one we bought but every carpet was orange and manky, whole place had nicotine stains on the walls, garage was a tasteful breezeblock affair, garden was a triangle of concrete and bare turf (corner plot) that had dog wee yellowed grass. We reckoned it would take 20 grand to make nice, and the vendor wanted asking price only. Needless to say we didn't view that one again!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 18/05/2012 11:17

Gee That sounds rank!

Thanks Aethel attempts to drink Tea :)

Sky is laying on her playgym chuckling away to herself at the elephant shaker on there lol

OiMissus · 18/05/2012 11:45

We've seen some beauties.
The very first house was pure Laura Ashley (ok, you say) but COVERED in images and memorabilia of the Queen. Very scary single lady with a fat cat. This was last year, I can't imagine how the house looks this Diamond Jubilee year!
News back from estate agent. Offer rejected, but we aren't too far out. Grin I have therefore increased our offer slightly. Fingers twisted once more. It's mine, I tells ya, all mine!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 18/05/2012 12:02

Oi Any idea when they will come back with a yes or no on your new offer?

MissRee · 18/05/2012 12:07
seven77 · 18/05/2012 12:11

geewe saw an awful house and bought it :o. Nothing had been done in around 30 years including the cleaning. The place was infested with fleas and tbh I'm surprised it didn't have rats, they even had two young children living here :(. Needless to say we used vast quantities of paint and disinfectant.

oi I'm really excited for you!

LittleMissFlustered · 18/05/2012 12:19

More digit twisting going in over in Yorkshire for you Oi
Edward has managed a roll. He didn't approve as all his dangly toys vanished. It's not stopping him having another go though

I've just made an enormous pan of bolognese sauce for tonight/the freezer. Smells good, but I've just had a sandwich and a cuppa. I may test a spoonful when it's done simmering and bubbling down. Two of the cats are standing guard in case the lid falls off somebody tries to steal it:o

Ben & Jerrys core Karmel Sutra is going down nicely...

Rashkakeller · 18/05/2012 12:33

Oi it's become very important to me that you get this house, please don't let me down Wink

LMF I'd be dipping my sarnie in the sauce!

I defrosted the freezer this morning so decided to eat the small portion of curry to save space, obviously. That was at 11.45am so not sure that will suffice til teatime...
