oi, the house sounds fab.our garden is a north-east facing one, we get sun in the morning then about 4 oclock it goes over the roof ridge and our garden is shaded. We have a tree on the south edge which shades the lawn from noon onwards. From a kiddy point of view it is lovely having shade in the afternoon, they can play out with less hassling re suncream/sunstroke. Go for it! (and 6% off dounds like a good serious first offer to me.)

aethelfleda · 17/05/2012 11:12

Ooh and get better soon to all the other poorly people!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 17/05/2012 11:49

At the Docs with Sky...is it normal to have something mucusy in her poop?

OiMissus · 17/05/2012 11:50

Here be a couple of pics of the house: www.flickr.com/photos/78766927@N04/

MimsyBorogroves · 17/05/2012 11:53

determined - could it be teething or a cold coming out? Sprog seems to get more mucousy nappies then.

AWomanCalledHorse · 17/05/2012 12:20

Will catch up in a bit...DS has another tooth! Cue more grumps, yay!

DSM, hope Sky is alright. x

Oi Envy Gorgeous house!! T'was fate!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 17/05/2012 12:21

Oi That is gorgeous - Jealous much! Could never buy a house like that down here for the amount of money we could afford :(

Mimsy Dr thinks she might have tummy irritation, so told to stop solids from now till monday and give her plenty of milk & water to let her tummy settle a bit. Then start again gradually next week. If it happens again is either teeth or tummy not ready for solids just yet.

LittleMissFlustered · 17/05/2012 12:53

House is lovely Oi:) I've got my digits thoroughly twisted for you:)

OP posts:
mopsytop · 17/05/2012 13:35

Hi again all, minim has little red spots on her chest/tummy, back & behind her ears. She had a very few pale ones on her tummy yesterday and GP said nth to worry about but now there are way more and they are red(but small). Does that sound like start of chickenpox? Or just a little rash? She is taking feeds againand hasn't projectiles yet today (phew!). Thanks for the collective advice/wisdom of the thread, sorry still all me me me :(

BJR · 17/05/2012 13:46

Oi that house looks amazing. Got my fingers crossed for you.

DS is getting worse and worse at this whole sleeping thing. He's waking a lot and has suddenly got alot noisier while sleeping. Was intending to keep him in my room till 6 months but am thinking of cutting it a month short so that I can feel less zombie like!

In more exciting news my interview went well and I got the promotion so will be returning to work in a slightly more interesting job :o

OiMissus · 17/05/2012 13:50

I have no idea mospy, but I'd probably ring the GP/go back.
Thank you all for your twisted digits. :) We may not hear until tomorrow, or they may even wait until after the weekend as someone else is going to view it. I may explode with impatience.
I'm really hoping that the other people aren't in a position to buy and still have a house to sell.

aethelfleda · 17/05/2012 13:52

Hard to tell over the interweb but if minim is better in herself, no fever and is eating/dinking well then hopefully it's a viral rash (very common 2-5 days in). . If she gets grotty in herself back to the GP you go....

Grim grim grim alert: DD1 had an itchy bottom last week. dS2 cPlained if similar yesterday. Now I'm itchy too. Sigh. I reckon we've all got threadworms (probably from kids at school or swimming). Have bought ovex from the chemist for DH and the DDS, will wash and scrub the whole house, and rang our nice GP who will prescribe me And DS something BUT advised I express and chuck milk for 8 hours. This is the beeb that won't take a bottle, remember? Oh joy.

OiMissus · 17/05/2012 13:52

Hurrah BJR! Congratulations!
The transition to their own rooms - that's going to be interesting. Shock

OiMissus · 17/05/2012 13:56

Oh bob - poor you aethel! (I used to get them as a kid. Blush ) Grim indeed! Itch-tastic! Good luck with the bottle/sippy cup. 8 hours is not so bad though, beeb won't starve - although it provide be the push LO needs to accept a bottle.

OiMissus · 17/05/2012 13:57

may... it may provide... :)

mopsytop · 17/05/2012 14:03

Thanks Oi and aethel, she's defs a bit better in herself, I even got a cpl of smiles earlier which hasn't happened for a few days, and she's feeding and just did a poo. So hopefully is just a viral rash...

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 17/05/2012 14:05

Mopsy Sounds like viral rash to me. Both my girls get them. If your worried get MiniM checked out.

BJR Congrats on your promotion.

Oi Not till Monday - Not even I can wait that long to find out Grin

Aethel We've never had that thankfully hoping you get it sorted soon.

LittleMissFlustered · 17/05/2012 14:16

Much sympathy for you aethel we had a bout while I was pregnant, and the evil pharmacist refused to give me anything even for spawns:( We had to do a fortnight of me following the kids everywhere and scrubbing their hands and making sure they went to bed in knickers of huge proportions >_

OP posts:
msbuggywinkle · 17/05/2012 14:17

aethel buy pripsen! You can bf while on it, but not with ovex. We always get threadworms when camping.

jigglebum · 17/05/2012 14:37

lovely lovely house oi - hope you get it.

sorry to hear of poorly children (and adults)

dsm maybe just do the boring veg and fruit tastes with sky until 6 months and hold off the protein and citrus type fruits, although maybe nothing to do with solids.

freya seems to have decided sleeping in the is for whimps! Oh well as long as the nights continue

jigglebum · 17/05/2012 14:38

obviously in the day that was meant to say

Rashkakeller · 17/05/2012 14:45

Erk, worms! I got them in my early teens once from kissing the dog, I was horrified. Can't wait until I have to deal with the kids with worms! I'm sure ds will take a bottle when he realises that he'll go hungry else! Or hopefully Msbuggy's suggestion will save you him

Oi, lovely house! Mahoosive rooms! All the luck in the world to you.

Congrats BJR!

Good news about Minim, if she's smiling, she must be feeling more herself, bless her :)

MissRee · 17/05/2012 15:05

Congrats on the promotion BJR!!!

(I love the fact that my iPhone tries to correct "pompoms" to "pimping" Grin)

That house looks amazing Oi, no wonder you were so excited! I very Envy. I'll keep everything crossed that they accept your offer!

Ick on the worms Aethel, I hope you all get better soon. I didn't even know you could catch them in swimming pools!

So we took Freya back to clinic today following her nosedive down the centiles and she's picked up slightly to just below the 25th centile, weighing in at 13lb2oz.

I briefly discussed with the HV freya's TT and she basically told me that it doesn't affect bottle fed babies and that I have bob hope of getting a referral for snippage. Having read the following article on the NHS website though, I think I may have to print it out and see the doc for a second opinion.
