OhSorelip I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it Sad

Sorelip · 15/05/2012 19:19

Thanks MissRee. I've never been called a bigot before. It's tickled my funny bone a bit! :o

Rashkakeller · 15/05/2012 19:44

Feel better soon, Mopsy

Sorelip sorry about your situation, sounds grim but stick to your guns. Of course you wouldn't ever put your boy at risk, none of us would - and whoever et al should get that!

The joy on their faces was very obvious, LMF - they do look yummy! Have they got something in them like jam or custard? Or are they just doughy goodness? Yep, I'm outing myself as a KK virgin!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 15/05/2012 20:44

Mopsy Hope your feeling alot better soon.

Sorelip Well Done for standing your ground Smile

Rash I'm a KK virgin too Grin LMF They do look yummy but think of the calories!

Both girls asleep. Am watching a shocking Embarrasing Bodies!

LittleMissFlustered · 15/05/2012 20:45

I got two dozen of the bastards things Raska, as far as I can tell they've got everything in them. Some are cream filled, others sauce filled. I think one has jam of some sort in it. I ate one and felt unwell. The kids are quite looking forward to overdosing on the rest of them tomorrow.

Sorelip stick to your guns! And, hard as it might be, tell your other half that if he even attempts to take your boy near them you'll gut him with a stinky haddock

Sounds like we've had a similar day figgy - you've had the (bloody rude) 'Mummy politics', and I've had a facefull of the Office kind. Thankfully I'm not involved (mat leave helps!) but people are leaving and bitching all over the shop. It's a shame, as I love my job, but thankfully it's quite a self contained post so I can just get on with it...

Hope your DH mums up air; I can understand not wanting to be in the middle, but you and your kids are the priority, no questions.

That's really sweet Rashka!

Good to see you Plu, and hope all's settling down a bit. And you're allowed to admit to poking in poop, we all do it in some respects (see previous posts about spot-popping Confused) - I love getting out little bogeys if I can!

How's the lip Sorelip? My DS has done that too, and it hurts- and I felt both angry with him, even though I know it's not his 'fault'.

That sounds awful about the in-laws, and this is one of those lines in the sand that is not crossed. Feel sorry that you had to endure the verbals from them as well. I know you say your DH is in the middle, but he is backing you up on this isn't he?

Have you managed to peel any of the spawn off the ceiling yet LMF? My little sister was the same when she was first given Coke at a party, aged about five- she ran around the living room non-stop for ages then wet herself. 'Tis the best tale to embarrass her with now Grin, especially as she's a 14 year old uber-Kevin-teen...

And hope it's 'just' a virus mopsy, poor you. Fluids and paracetemol if you can face it, and can you DP do the nightshift, or a bit of it?

MissRee · 15/05/2012 20:59

Arch I have eBay nobber issues. We drove to pick up the wii fit board on Sunday, pulled up outside and got a text saying they were out walking the dog and had only just got my message from the day before about collection time. DP phoned the bloke and he was very apologetic and said that they would deliver one day this week instead. All good, we gave them our address and delivery was arranged for tomorrow.

I've just had an email saying that they had a bereavement in the family and will only be home next Wednesday. I'm a bit Hmm

WWYD???

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 15/05/2012 21:02

MissRee Something isn't right. I'd ask for a refund tbh.

MissRee · 15/05/2012 21:09

I haven't paid for it yet... methinks they're trying to wiggle out of letting it go for the £1.20 I won it for!

LittleMissFlustered · 15/05/2012 21:29

My bullcrapometer is beeping loud. Fling a haddock at them:/

OP posts:
Figgygal · 15/05/2012 21:40

Missree does sound like they're trying to get out of it going for such a small amount I've had the same if people don't Wanna take the risk why do they not put starting prices on their items. Grr

Figgy towers has been argument and sulking filled this evening, lo didn't sleep from around midday until 7 o'clock apart from about 20 minutes he refused his lovingly defrosted broccoli purée, and generally was miserable and whiny from 5 until I gave up and put him to bed early at 7 o'clock. I expect to see him at least once tonight Sad.

Sorry you are having family problems sore lip that really doesn't sound fun.

On the baby group ladies and their horror at me not particularly planning any more children hey ho.

plutocrap · 15/05/2012 21:54

Good God, Sorelip, that's a terrible responsibility to be pushed into (as in: why is it your job to prevent other people's awfulness). There has been a thread about a pair of parents doing something similar; maybe it would help you to read the level of support those parents were given against the dangers they were protecting their children from? It could help to bolster your confidence in yourself and just relieve some of your feelings...

Oh, dear, mopsy, I second all the sympathies. Make sure to drink loads of water, which can't hurt, no matter what it is!

Sorry, seven, I missed why you are selling by auction...?

Speaking of auctions, MissRee, have a look on the MN eBay board, as there is always a lot of discussion of frauds and how to punish naughty sellers like this. Go armed with sanctions like "non-performing seller"!

Sorry 'bout the politics, NOrthernChinchilla; that's an unpleasant thing to be in the middle of, and even slightly frustrating that you are not involved so you can;t do a thing about it!

Hope the kids have been worn out, LMF. Smile

OiMissus · 15/05/2012 21:55

MissRee if the address isn't too far away, just turn up one evening, and say you were just passing...
sorelip what a horrid situation! Stand your ground. I wouldn't want him anywhere near my LO either. I don't care if that's seen as ignorant/rude/whatever. BOi is way too precious.
Going to see a lovely looking house tomorrow. It's been on the Market for a year and they've dropped their price by about £60k. If we wanted to buy it, we'd be asking them to take off another 5%. I hope I love it, and I hope they are open to offers.
BOi has only had 3 x 20 min naps today, and he only went down at about 8:30. He's not massively settled now. I'm hoping a feed at bedtime will be the start of a good night's sleep. Fingers crossed.

OiMissus · 15/05/2012 21:56

Hope you're soon feeling better mopsy! x

plutocrap · 15/05/2012 22:09

Good Oidea about the ebay cheekypeople

LittleMissFlustered · 15/05/2012 22:10

Random rant: chuffing ulcer! Months it's hung around. Vitamins, bonjela and iglü haven't worked. Considering lopping my tongue off:/

As you were:)

OP posts:
Rashkakeller · 15/05/2012 22:15

Anbesol. It's the dogs, LMF

Figgygal · 15/05/2012 22:23

Ah he's been up once already tonight shall not be good I suspect. Night ladies!!

OiMissus · 15/05/2012 22:33

Come now figgy! positive thinking. He woke early to top up before a marathon sleep session.
If only BOi could do 6 hours... Dreamy dream dream...

plutocrap · 15/05/2012 22:39

Oh, no! Look at the time!

Aaaah! Shock

Whisssh (shower)

Banbury

aethelfleda · 15/05/2012 22:43

We have a very croaky wailing baby at this end. Think it is the cold doing it, he had an awful whiny cry earlier and I just want to cuddle him better :(
Ibuprofen in, just feeding him again. Suspect it will be a long broken night.

Too tired to namecheck guys, sorry. See you all later, I'm sure...

seven77 · 15/05/2012 22:45

Good luck figgy!

LMF I second Anbesol liquid, bloody amazing stuff. Its also the only thing I find that actually works for teething, probably because it contains alcohol. I've been known to steal it for ulcers myself.

sorelip nothing I can say that hasn't been said but stand your ground! How does DH feel or what has he said about it? I hope he's fighting your corner.

missree sounds dodgy, I agree call by one evening and catch them out. figgy if it starts at 99p the listing is free, by not putting a starting price they'd be happy with they've probably saved themselves 23p Hmm

plu it's our old empty flat, it's been on the market for 18 months, we're currently paying 2 lots of council tax that we really can't afford. My dad was in the position to buy our current house (it was a bargain as it was fucking filthy) we currently owe him £145,000! It has an indemnity on it as its leasehold which means it can't be rented out (in a holiday town) which seems to put off a lot of potential buyers. We had 5 viewings and they all wanted the legal pack so fingers crossed.

Rashkakeller · 15/05/2012 22:45

Wishing you all a peaceful, sleepful night x

LittleMissFlustered · 16/05/2012 00:59

Can't get hold of anbesol, manufacturer sold up so new owners waiting on licence apparently. Do I was told in a pharmacy anyway:/

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 16/05/2012 06:35

Morning Ladies,

Well Sky slept all night 8:30 - 6am had 7oz and gone back to sleep Smile

A day indoors for us today - puréeing for me anyway.

LMF Sure I got Anbesol at our local assault pharmacy not long ago Hmm

Seven Hopefully someone will want to buy soon.

MissRee nip round there - sorry for your loss but I've come to collect the wii fit thanks Grin
